We went at the end of March 2009 with my wife. It was the first time in Egypt, so there was nothing to compare the hotel with.
In general, the impressions are positive. The hotel gives the impression of being relatively new, the territory is large and well-groomed. The staff is friendly and rather unobtrusive (however, they still stick on the beach with offers of excursions, massages, etc. ), however, the reception staff made a strong negative impression on the first day of settlement. My wife and I were settled in a distant building, which they call the Sport Area, it is located about a 5-minute walk to the main hotel area. True, a bus runs (every 2-3 minutes during the day, but in the evening or early in the morning it’s easier to walk on your own), but if you go there and you don’t want to go back and forth to your room every day (and it’s about 10 minutes to the sea for vigorous young step) - do not settle for this number (numbers in this case begin with the number 4).
The rooms there are standard, normal in size and do not differ in any way from the rooms in the main buildings of the hotel. But on the territory of the sport area there is not a single bar, and of course not a single restaurant, and the view from the window (terrace) is on a dump truck from a neighboring construction site.

They have these numbers for separate (apparently cheaper) vouchers, in which it is indicated as such - sport area. If your voucher contains Standard, you can safely demand check-in in any of the rooms located on the territory of the hotel.
We found out about all this later, but on the first day we could not get anything from the reception staff and we had to check into a room in the 4th building, but the next day the problem was solved by representatives of Pegas and everyone who settled in with us The 4th Corps (and on that day everyone was sent there, despite the scandals and proposals to resolve this issue amicably, including money for a good room, which did not lead to a positive result) was moved to good rooms. We got a room on the number 1xxx very close to the sea, on the second floor, overlooking the sea.
Although there was one exception that confirmed the dishonesty of the hotel staff - one of the women who arrived on the same day with us flatly refused to check into the distant 4th building and simply sat down with her suitcases downstairs, saying that if she was not settled in a normal room, she would return home .
There is such a feature of the reception workers - as soon as you start demanding something that they don’t want to do, they start to break a comedy, as if they don’t understand you in Russian and speak badly. It is not known for certain how long this woman spent, but as she later said, she was still given a normal number on the same day. This confirms that the rooms WAS, despite the oath assurances of the hotel staff that there were no rooms (as already noted, even the bribe did not help - they beat their chests with their fists and, looking honestly into their faces, shrugged their shoulders: they would be glad to accommodate you on normal, but no numbers). I still do not recommend settling in rooms with five-digit numbers. All rooms have a four-digit numbering, for example - 1135.4014, etc. If the number is five-digit, for example 23114, then it is very likely that it will be either smaller than the standard one, or without a balcony (terrace).

People complained about the five-digit numbers, they were also called "carlsons", because they are under the roof (almost in the attic), with one small window, as already mentioned - without a balcony. In general, my advice is to sit until the last minute and do not move into a room that does not suit you, but rather contact your hotel guide right away - usually rooms that "did not exist" are miraculously found. The main thing is to be persistent in communicating with the reception.
Leaving aside the check-in incident, the hotel is to be commended. Do not believe those who write that the hotel has food problems: food is actually in bulk - all dishes are always replenished, and those who can’t wait to quickly get a plate of everything that catches their eye complain. Sometimes queues are created for meat dishes (by the way, only chicken and beef are meat), but the queues are created just by those who are itching.
If you take a long walk for other dishes, the queue usually dissipates and there are no long waits. The choice is quite large, though the food is basically all the same, but from the proposed assortment you can eat quite normally. There are three restaurants, two of which are free for AI (Italian and Oriental), and one is paid - fish. There you need to sign up at the reception the day before the hike (just enter the room number and number of people on a piece of paper). In my opinion, the food in Italian is so-so, in the east it is better. Wine - red is very reminiscent of young homemade weak (even diluted) wine, but for all that, it seemed to me the most acceptable to taste. For some reason, pink and white are too strong, it seems that they are even fortified, and they taste disgusting. What the hotel calls juice is the usual Yuppie or Invite (remember, there were such soluble chemical liquids per liter and two).
Due to the fact that this "juice" is used in the preparation of cocktails, the cocktails are vile. In this regard, I recommend drinking gin and tonic, because it is poured from soda cans))). In between the main meals in the main restaurant "Mona Lisa" you can eat in the main bar, near the pool. They bake something all the time (some donuts and puffs) and make french fries. In short, if desired, you can eat almost all day.

The animation is frankly weak. But we did not need it at all - and without it there is enough entertainment. If you like to play tennis, take your rackets with you, because access to the court is free, but equipment is for money.
The same applies to fins, mask and snorkel, although you can buy them on the spot.
I do not advise you to buy anything in the stores at the hotel - the prices are clearly higher than at the airport in Hurghada (I compared it myself), and no matter how much you bargain, they are inferior to a couple of dollars and that's it, even for those goods for which the prices are clearly overpriced.
There are no complaints about the tour operator (Pegasus), there are always two of their representatives (guides) in the hotel, who explain everything very clearly and politely)).
The beach is normal, but the entrance to the sea from the pier is not very convenient - two metal stairs (like in a pool), but some old and rusty. Near the pier you can see the reef and fish. The fish are beautiful, and the water, as usual, is clear.
About the weather. We arrived on March 25th and stayed until April 1st. About three days out of 7 there was a rather strong and not very pleasant cool wind from the sea - these days you can swim and sunbathe, but not very comfortable. On other days, the wind was weaker or it did not exist at all - it was quite possible to swim and sunbathe.
In general, the weather was about half lucky. If you go in the season, then there is no risk at all - it will be warm. During our stay there, the sea was quite "bathable", but the water still requires some getting used to. However, a couple of minutes in the water - and that's it, it's not cold anymore. But as in fresh milk, of course, at this time of the year you will not go into the sea yet.

My advice is don't get Ultra AI, the benefits are minimal at the higher price. The only difference from AI is that on the first day, a basket of fresh fruit is brought to the room for ultra, slippers are given a bathrobe and some kind of hat, in my opinion (I don’t remember), in addition, 20 minutes are included for free for ultra. massages at the health club, as well as the main...bka: 30 minutes of free diving - but surprise: diving in the pool. If you want to dive to the bottom of the pool for your hard-earned money, go ahead for ultra all.
Imported spirits and freshly squeezed juices are paid for everyone, both for AI and Ultra (regardless of what you read in the promotional booklets - this is a fact).

Pegasus excursions are expensive, local excursionists (usually go to the beach) are usually cheaper by 20-30 dollars (depending on the excursion). We went on a submarine (diving in a submarine), in general, we liked it. We went, by the way, all the same through Pegasus, because local residents on the beach with their attractive prices were met later. If the natives on the beach pester you strongly with some kind of offer, the most effective way is to say "already been" or "we are leaving today" - they go in search of a new victim.

I repeat once again that the hotel itself is good - both in terms of service level and in appearance (territory, landscaping, rooms, food). At 5 * all the same, it probably doesn’t pull, but it deserves a solid 4-ku.
The rooms are cleaned daily, bed linen should be changed every 3 days, but in my opinion they did not change us, although I did not notice any dirt.

With entertainment outside the hotel, it’s a bit tight, because this is not a city and there is no settlement nearby except for the hotel itself. Therefore, rest in this hotel is more suitable for those who want peace and quiet countryside. No mega parties or anything like that.

The hotel has a pretty decent lobby bar. There is billiards - 30 min. the room is provided free of charge, the rest for the money.

In general, in light of the fact that there is nothing special to compare the hotel with, I will not draw categorical conclusions. But in my opinion, the overall rating of the hotel will be somewhere around 4.2 out of 5 (and largely "thanks" to the check-in incident).

Yes, by the way - the fact that after sunset you can’t swim in the sea or in the pool also strained. However, I did not check how effective this ban is, because after sunset it was cool and you won’t climb the sea much.

The sea is understandable, for safety reasons. But with the pool, in my opinion, they overdid it - the heated one (and there are 5 different pools in total on the territory) could be left open at night for those who wish.

And one more thing: in the room there is a safe, documents and money are recommended to everyone to clean there. But a couple of times we left relatively valuable things just in the room (forgetfulness). So, nothing is missing. The dude who came to clean our room turned out to be very pleasant and friendly - we spoke English as best we could, and when we left we left a good tip, because it was really not a pity for his good attitude towards us.

In short, go and do not be afraid - everything will be fine! : -)
