Excellent hotel!
I visited this hotel in June 2009. Impressions are extremely positive.
The room is bright and spacious, although not without flaws (it seems to be almost a new hotel, and some things are already falling off). But the flaws are minor, because 4+. An excellent portal window with good soundproofing properties, animation was not heard at all, even though the room was next to the pool.

Territory on a solid five. The coast in this place is slightly sloping and the hotel is built in tiers. Therefore, almost everywhere (except the Sport Area) you can see at least a piece of the sea. On the territory there are beautiful winding paths, green grass, beautiful flower beds with cacti, trees, shrubs, palm trees. Everything looks very harmonious, the photos are such that all friends will lick their lips : ) . The hotel has a large number of swimming pools, there are both fresh water and salt water. You should not be afraid of the Sport Area, the same green area, it takes 3-4 minutes to walk to the reception, in addition, a bass shuttle runs around the circle, which will take you even faster. At the time when we were at the hotel, there were mostly Germans and Italians living there. To say that this area behind the hotel is not entirely correct, rather the reception is in the middle. However, if the Sport Area is offered by the operator cheaper, and you bought a room in the main territory, then attempts to settle there upon arrival must be stopped or additional preferences must be demanded for this. Divorce on ultra all inclusive is a standard procedure. If you didn’t like the room that was offered to you right away and you asked for another one, then a sad story will immediately follow that in another building they only settle with an ultra and you can get there only by paying extra for it. Naturally this is not true. In general, the staff at the reception behaves correctly, and such "little tricks" come rather from the hotel management.
Staff - no complaints. Things are good.
The beach is living, beautiful coral. The depth along the edge of the coral is 25-30 meters, a little further even more. Excellent fixed pier. The only negative is not very good stairs on the pier (the steps are made of pipes of too small diameter and it hurts the legs). I didn’t like that only 2 exits to the sea from the pier were open, which created congestion, because. some have an absolute inability to put on a mask and fins in the water or on the shore, and they put on, standing on the stairs and slowly scratching different parts of the body. For some, this process took several minutes. Sometimes there is a current and quite big waves. There is definitely something to see underwater. A little further south there is an amazing lagoon (belongs to the El Nabila hotel). There are no waves.
Entertainment - German dive center "Extra Divers" on the territory of the hotel. Good equipment for hire, professional guides, excellent organization, the guys speak English. Made several unforgettable dives on the most beautiful reefs relatively close to the hotel. It is possible to dive without a certificate, with a guide. PADI courses, etc. are also present. A trial dive in the pool is generally free of charge.

The guide from Anex Tour is normal. He spoke Russian tolerably, patiently listened to my lengthy arguments, and sometimes even kept up the conversation. Bought 2 tours from him. Both are not a fountain. Diving - we went through a Polish dive center, the equipment is worse than that of the Germans. The ship is tired, but in general, tolerable. Lunch is good. The guide and divemaster, however, are quite professional. The promised Russian-speaking guide was not there, and I had to translate from English, for those who did not understand what he was saying. This is bad, because diving potentially has some risks if the rules are broken. How would these rules be told to a person for the first time! going under water without the presence of a person who can translate from English into Russian, I don’t know. The second excursion was a boat trip to El Gouna. The guide advertised it as very interesting and informative... A huge, terrible, collapsing pelvis to the eyeballs packed with our all-inclusive tourists (those who like to drink early in the morning) sails for 2 hours to El Gouna. Then two smaller pelvises are carried along the canals of El Gouna, and the "guide" in every possible way promotes this place. The impression was that it was a promo tour of the resort, sold to us under the guise of an excursion. In general, the impression is nasty. The food on the ship is disgusting. I have something to compare with, on various boats I sailed in Egypt a dozen times. The situation was slightly brightened up by the fact that on the way back we stopped for a swim in the sea. We snorted for about 40 minutes, saw a two-meter moray eel, which fled from a herd of hippos from the ship.
Food is good; typically Egyptian. Those. you can’t expect some perfectly cooked meat or good sausage, but rice (and side dishes in general), pastries, both rich and bread (there were a huge number of different types of bread both in taste and shape), cheese (including quite European in taste) and the desserts are perfect. Of the fruits, there were definitely watermelon, melon, fruit salads (apple, melon, pomegranate). Wine, as elsewhere in Egypt. I liked Sahara beer much less than Stella. Asking for a cocktail with a small amount of alcohol is a problem. The staff cannot immediately understand that you are not asking for a full glass of vodka and a little juice, but vice versa. The presence of a large number of Slavs still affects. In general, with average culinary and food requests, you will spend a week at the hotel without problems and enjoying it. Moreover, theme evenings such as "Egyptian night" are held when local dishes are prepared on the street that are not available in the restaurant every day (shawarma, lamb on a spit, fried offal, etc. ). Almost every day there was some kind of fish. Once there was even a huge tuna grilled on a spit. Fans of Italian cuisine will not get bored either - there are always several types of pasta with various sauces and dressings. In addition, there are two a la carte restaurants, Italian and Oriental, which can be visited for free once. And of course, a restaurant on the beach with view tables and open windows. Yes, it's hot there, because. no air conditioning, but the sea breeze, great view from the windows, proximity to the beach and fewer people than in the main restaurant, I really liked it. In addition, they cook very decent pizza.
The hotel can be recommended to young people and middle-aged people who have nothing against corals, fish and the lack of sandy entry into the water. For older people who are not fond of diving and very young children who do not know how to snorkel, probably not here... Although, if you sour in one of the pools all your vacation, then you can come to the listed categories.
