I love this country. I emphasize that it is the country: climate, sea, air, etc. I have never felt more comfortable anywhere. This (fifth) time I decided to take a chance and went with my son (13 years old) to a brand new hotel Stella Makadi resort&SPA 5*. There were no reviews for it anywhere.
I'll start in order.
1. Sea. Own awesome, big coral reef, still alive and full of fish. You can not take excursions to the reefs and enjoy underwater views every day. Entrance to the sea only in special shoes! A long pontoon bridge leads to the coral, from which you get to the reef. There is also a descent from the bridge to a shallow place with a sandy bottom, but this place is small. The water is clean.
2. Since the hotel is located in the bay, there is no such wind as in Hurghada. Therefore, I do not advise you to go there in July, because. in such heat without wind, not everyone will survive.
3. The hotel itself.
The territory is just huge! 4 huge pools with waterfalls and different depths. The water in the pools was well filtered. The poolside chairs are new design, very comfortable, wicker and with a small, adjustable roof. Very cool idea to protect your head. Although the hotel is new, the territory is already quite green and well-groomed.
The rooms are large, spacious and clean. There are very few rooms with sea views, I think that these are only suites or family rooms.
Restaurant. Before that I was in different hotels (Albatros, Shams Safaga, Titanik, Panorama) but in Stella, in my opinion, the food was better than anywhere else.
4. Animation. We were entertained well, though only in the evening. In addition to standard belly dances, shows in skirts, etc. , there were also girls with synchronized swimming numbers and musicians with live music numbers and singers... In general, the evening shows were at a good level. Well, in the afternoon, in July, everyone before the animation was. And, by the way, what won me over was the unobtrusive service. No one grabbed by the hand and did not beg for tea, as it happened in other hotels!
5. Minus. There was an incident with cockroaches in the room. True, after the complaint at the same moment they came and processed the room, then removed it.
6. Contingent. Few Russians and Ukrainians is a big plus (for me personally). Though you have a rest from obscenities and rudeness. Therefore, when there are only Italians, Germans, French and British around, the brains rest. The son was bored because, again, there was no one to communicate with, because. around only foreigners.
7. Conclusion. It's great to go there with a group! Makadi is much more respectable and cozier than Hurghada.
