If you don't know what Makadi Bay is like I did before arrival, then it is 35 km to Hurghada, there is no transport, only taxis. It is impossible to walk outside the hotel, because there is nothing but sand. I'm not exaggerating, all the hotels are in the middle of the desert, so for those who don't want to be in the hotel for a week, I don't advise. Taxi in 2 directions 30 euros.
As for the hotel. I chose according to reviews here, I chose between Labranda and this one, but then the reviews bribed me. We arrived at the hotels and then disappointment - the reception in the Arabic style, everything is so old, well, just one disappointment. Wi-fi in the lobby will allow you to send a message, nothing more. It just doesn't exist outside the lobby. Neither paid nor free. The rooms are clean, cleaned daily, towels are changed every day, but the truth is the dollar left, maybe that's why. The cases look very old, but in general it is normal, it does not affect the speed.
Sea BOMB. Sunset from the pier to the depth, the water is crystal, there is something to see in a mask and there is where to swim without fear of getting hurt. Food is normal, savings are felt, but apparently everyone has it. You won't go hungry and there is even a minimal variety. The bars are all working, beer is poured from bottles, whiskey is lousy like everywhere else, gin and tonic is quite drinkable. I took a bottle with me, I didn't even open it.

Well, now the most interesting. We went on an excursion and on the way we stopped for tourists in Labranda. Their reception is more interesting in appearance, well, I think it's okay, not to live in the reception. Still, I read the reviews, I was sure of their impartiality. Perhaps I would not have written this review, if not for one thing: the animators approached me and asked me to write a review here, and I was far from alone. Few people will write bad reviews in front of them, and that's why this hotel has such a rating. She must be given credit, they were trying to figure out how to sell their hotel and they did it.
The hotel is good and I have not been here in other hotels, but believe me, this is far from 9.2)) After reading many other reviews in other hotels, this hotel can be given / plus or minus 7, but let the many 10-point reviews not go to your head, they are written from courtesy to the animators) Would I return here? Yes, but on one condition: if this hotel moves to Hurghada itself, because I want to leave the hotel and walk around the city, and not go to it for 30 euros.
All in all, everything else is great, but don't choose it purely based on the ratings here. Read reviews, look for what you need here, and do not look at the numbers, as I did)
