I want to share my impressions about the rest at the STELLA DI MARE BEACH RESORT & SPA MAKADI BAY hotel, where we rested from January 24 to 31.2021. I will say right away that I really liked the rest. The hotel is located on the beachfront in the sunny Makadi Bay, about 35 km from Hurghada. We arrived at the hotel around 8:00. Upon arrival at the hotel, we were immediately put on bracelets and offered to have breakfast in the main restaurant.
All food in the restaurant is located behind glass and is served by service personnel. There are no restrictions on food, they impose it generously. For breakfast, a lot of pastries, various yogurts, vegetables and fruits. The presentation of the food is very beautiful. Dishes in the restaurant are of high quality, drinks are served in glass and porcelain. There is a hand sanitizer on every table. After breakfast, we were immediately given a room and we did not have to wait until 2 pm, which undoubtedly pleased us.
We were given a room on the second floor with access to the pool and a side sea view. The room is large, bright and clean, with a large balcony. Room after renovation. All plumbing is in good condition. Shampoo, shower gel and soap were replenished daily. Since we were resting with a three-year-old child, a baby cot was placed in the room for her. Bed linen and towels are white, of high quality, changed on request. Due to covid 19, beach towels are also in the room upon check-in and changed upon request. The room has a plasma TV with Russian-language channels, air conditioning, a bar-refrigerator, a tea set replenished daily. Drinking water was also replenished daily, one half-liter bottle per person. Room cleaning was carried out daily and efficiently. Since we did not skimp on gratitude for the cleaner, every day he left us beautiful figures from towels and flowers on the bed, which undoubtedly cheered us up. The soundproofing of the room is good.

The beach at the hotel is one of the best in the bay, and wide and long. The beds are good quality and light. There are wind shields and umbrellas. There are a lot of sun loungers and umbrellas on the beach, so no matter what time you come to the beach, you will always find a place to relax in the part of the beach that you like. The beach is always very clean, there are enough litter bins. Entrance to the sea for swimming from a pontoon, the length of which is 360 meters. Wooden pontoon, high quality. At first glance, it seems long, but it was not at all difficult to overcome it even with a small child, on the contrary, it was very interesting. While walking, you are looking at the fish that swim next to the pontoon. After passing a little more than half of the pontoon there is a vertical metal staircase - a descent into the lagoon. Those people who are afraid of depth and children swim there. Having passed to the end of the pontoon, there are two gentle and very comfortable descents into the sea. There are also sun loungers for those people who want to relax on the pontoon. There are also lockers for towels and other things.
The underwater reef is very beautiful, there are a lot of fish. We were lucky, we even saw a turtle. A lifeguard is on duty on the pontoon. At high tide, you can wander into the sea from the shore, and children can even fully swim, and at low tide, you can just look at those inhabitants of the seabed who remained on the coral crust. These are starfish and urchins, but you need to be careful and it is advisable to wear coral slippers. There is a bar and a restaurant on the beach. The bar has both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, various cocktails. The waiters constantly walk along the beach and ask the guests what the guests would like to drink, which indicates a high level of service at the hotel.
The territory of the hotel is very large, well-groomed, green with beautiful flowers and flowering shrubs. Trees and shrubs are very nicely trimmed. The hotel is very clean everywhere, even the toilets on the beach. The hotel has a huge swimming pool with a bar and a children's pool. There are plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas around the pool. But at the time when we were resting, the pools were not heated for technical reasons. There is a very atmospheric place near the pool - a huge chessboard with large wooden pieces, and next to it is a waterfall. The hotel has a large playground, volleyball court, golf course, table tennis tables. During our stay, the kids club did not work, but the children were involved by the animators in all the events held at the hotel. The animation in the hotel is very active, but not intrusive.
Well done animators entertained guests from ten in the morning until late at night. In the evenings, after dinner, a variety of shows were held daily, which were very interesting to attend. I liked that the stage is located next to the Mazazik bar and sitting on the open terrace of the bar, drinking a delicious cocktail or any other drink, you can watch the show. I would like to say a few words about the food in the restaurant, it is just wonderful. Very varied and delicious. Large selection of meat and fish dishes, vegetables, salads, fruits. Seafood is served daily. A variety of pastries, cakes, national Egyptian sweets did not leave anyone indifferent, even those who do not like sweets. The chef of the restaurant every day at lunch and dinner went out into the restaurant hall and talked with the guests. Themed evenings of various cuisines of the world were held daily during dinner. The hotel has two a la carte restaurants: Indian and Italian. We visited both of them, having previously signed up at the reception. I liked both restaurants. Each of them is worthy of attention.

The service in the restaurants is very good, the dishes are deliciously prepared and beautifully presented. The hotel staff is very friendly and always ready to help. There are Russian-speaking managers at the reception. We had an early check-out from the hotel, upon check-out they gave each guest a package with breakfast. It was very nice, because the hotel even took care of what you will eat on the road. The only negative of this hotel is the internet. Free of charge, it is only at the reception and then weak. I bought at the hotel for 15 euros for a week, but it's not great either, it didn't catch all over the hotel. I strongly recommend this hotel for both winter and recreation at any time of the year, both for young people and for older people and for children. We really liked the hotel and the rest in this hotel was great. I will definitely return to this hotel.
