This is my second visit to this hotel, so I'm just highlighting the changes from my previous review:

https://www.turpravda.ua/eg/makadi/labranda_royal_makadi-h10617-r273787.html

What got better:
Compared to October 2017, I noticed no changes in the hotel for the better, unfortunately. Unless they offered a choice when checking in: either a slightly smaller room between the reception and the beach overlooking the pool, or a slightly larger room in the building further away (where the Rock stone stands). We chose the first option. The Asian restaurant seemed to have improved a bit. The beach of the hotel, as before, continues to delight, although there are no fish. Room cleaning is daily, but without extraordinary frills, even for a dollar.

What got worse:

The pontoon of the Harmony Hotel (the hotel is on the right when looking at the sea) has become paid 5 euros / person day. But there is something to see on it, unlike the left almost lifeless pontoon of the Stella Hotel.
The service of almost all restaurants has become worse. It looks like a lot of “green” waiters have appeared who have not yet entered the course at all. They say that the owner of the hotel seems to have changed, perhaps due to this. Catastrophically deteriorated service in a Cuban restaurant. The only restaurant that has continued to hold its own is the Italian one. But, nevertheless, his visit did not cause much enthusiasm. As for me, the main restaurant was the most acceptable in all respects.

Separately, I would like to mention the guide Muhamed (+201144406331) of the Odeon company (Coral's partner in Egypt). Formally, the person basically did his job, but he struck me with an absolute lack of interest in Ukrainian tourists, I would even say complete disinterest. Only three families from Ukraine sat at the meeting with the guide.
Having learned that we are not planning to buy excursions on the first day, but want to think about it, and if we decide, we will turn to him, he said that this would not work. Either we take on the first day, or he won’t sell us anything at all later. I was a little shocked. And, having learned that we were not in Egypt for the first time, I generally took a handout sheet with prices for excursions, where I had already noted points that were interesting to me, and said that we would no longer need this sheet. I see this for the first time. Clearly a person is either out of place, or completely not interested in selling excursions. In the end, Mukhamed added that perhaps in the fall the Russians would be allowed direct trips to Egypt, and then his business would go ...but for now, as I understand it, he doesn’t give a damn.
I ended up taking an early morning quad ride from the guys at Alex Safari, which is located between the Labranda Royal and Stella hotels, and didn't regret it one bit.

In general, the holiday was a success.
