We decided on a trip in just a few days at the insistence of friends living for the winter in Hurghada. We bought tickets ourselves, because there are no tours from Russia. The reservation was made through friends living in this hotel, as a result, the trip turned out to cost up to 8 nights up to 35.000 rubles, which is 50% more expensive than tours from Ukraine. An important point should be noted: the post-COVID life of hotels in Egypt cannot be compared with the past life - in the big five, designed for several thousand vacationers, now an average of 100 vacationers. A maximum of 5 planes a day arrive in Hurghada! Life goes on for survival. Therefore, the usual trendy in the past 5 * is an upscale five-star canteen, often with dubious food.
In Lambrand, the situation, in my opinion, is strikingly better than in other hotels due to two factors.
1. The main manager of the hotel is clearly hired by the owners as a crisis manager, so he squeezes the last juices out of the staff in favor of vacationers, in the full sense of the word. Somewhere neglecting the prohibitions, while observing covid precautions within reasonable limits. (Whoever has covidla of the brain, you are not here). At the same time, he himself is personally present from morning to night with vacationers - just handsome! The result is excellent: food, relaxing atmosphere, staff, cleaning, animation and everything else - NO CLAIMS.

2. The heated pool is also a huge plus. Everyone I asked agreed on this. Many winterers, having made an attempt to change the situation - to unwind in other hotels, are happy to return back.
And now about the sea and the beach: two bays protected from the wind and a sandy entrance make additional pluses. But the water in them is sometimes colder than in the Basik. Because the purpose of our visit was to enjoy the reef and fish, we found that on the reef - the depth, the water is much warmer. In the early days, they took light wetsuits, but they realized that they were superfluous. 1.5 hours is quite easy to be in the winter water of Makadi Bay. And now for lovers of the reef and fish - I rent places)). All the beauty is on the surf line, which is 200-300m + - from the coast. It is better to swim in the area of ​ ​ the island, but if there is a strong wave, you are unlikely to be able to enter the same way without skill. Either you have to go to the right to the pier admiring the half-dead reef, or to the left, but then you will sail to Stella's pier - far away. We were able to return the same route during the waves without injury - this requires skill. Immediately opposite the island is a living reef, which stretches to the left for 300 meters BEFORE (! ) Turning towards Stella. Not everyone can overcome such a distance at once, but the reef is worthy... for 4-ku.
There are of course a couple of downsides:
1) it's Azura's legacy of decrepit furniture in the rooms; 2) sun loungers probably from the 90s.
3. Meals - maybe less varied than when the hotel will work at full capacity, but everything is in abundance - I did not observe whining.

I already want to return, especially now, when there are only 200 vacationers in the hotel.
