We stayed in this hotel from 11/25/2011 to 12/9/2011. The ROYAL AZUR hotel and CLUB AZUR 4 * can be said to have a common territory, i. e. there are no fences, etc. between them. The area is not too big, but very well maintained. The sandy beach is large, there are a lot of places, it is located in a bay (lagoon, bay) and the water is much cooler than in the open sea (at least at this time). In this bay there are quite a few living creatures and the water is more muddy.
Check-in and room - 5. The hotel was almost 100% occupied, but after a week the "population" decreased by 50%. Vacationers are mostly Russians, then Germans, Ukrainians, etc. We got a calm, quiet room on the 2nd floor, No. 1159. Everything worked in the room. The mini-bar contains 2 bottles of 1.5 liters of water and 3 glasses. bottle 0.192 ml of "cola" or "sprite" type. These stocks, as well as the supply of coffee, tea, dried cream, sugar and even FRUCTOSE (for diabetics) were replenished daily.

Nutrition. - 5 . The main restaurant, the Italian restaurant, the restaurant on the beach are all restaurants, not canteens. We did not see paper napkins anywhere at all, as well as in the pool bar, (only HB) where you can always eat well, but without vegetables, soups and fruits. The dining restaurant has 3 "territories" - an open veranda, semi-closed (closed with climbing lianas), and completely closed (in the evening the fish restaurant is paid). A large number of sparrows live in these creepers, who are always happy to share a meal with you, and out of all the abundance of food they prefer rice, but they won’t refuse the other either, and especially grateful individuals can leave their “business card” as well. In the dining restaurant, you must bring your own drinks. There are never any lines for anything. You can not talk about pastries - as well as everywhere excellent.
The only drawback in food is quite a bit of fruit, but as far as we know after all the events that took place in Egypt, all hotels are trying to save on something and some hotels are too zealous in this, but not AZUR. In some hotels, there is discrimination based on nationality or the color of the bracelets.
There is no such thing here, and in general everyone goes without bracelets. If you see hotel guests in white bathrobes on the territory of the hotel, then this is not discrimination, but additional signs of attention for those who have a rest in one of the hotels of the AZUR chain for the first time. A couple of cans of beer in the minibar also belong to ticks as signs of attention.

The staff is very friendly, does not ask for a tip, but accepts it with pleasure, and you must thank for such service, and if you do this, you will not regret it. Most of the staff understands Russian, and if you know a little English - understanding is 100%. The first time we were lucky - the Russian-speaking hotel guide EKATERINA, which also pleased us. All excursions were offered unobtrusively and excursion programs were explained in detail.
We can’t say anything about the pools, except that they are very beautiful - they swam in the sea. There are always people around the heated pool, or rather, the "population density" is greater than on the beach. Fans of snorkeling should go to the pier of the neighboring hotel "STELLA". The pier is very long. There are fish there, on the most diverse corals and fish if you go to the island in "SPECIAL SHOES" from the territory of the CLUB AZUR hotel, but there can be a very strong wave. Especially you need to be more careful when leaving the water, because. a wave can throw on stones and to a greater or lesser extent overshadow further rest. We saw stingrays (stingrays and electric ones), barracudas 0.5m (flocks) of parrot fish, butterflies, surgeons, triggerfish, boxfish, lionfish, etc. The water in the sea is warmer (24C) and very transparent compared to the lagoon (no more than 20C) . The reef is "wild" and very beautiful. It should be noted and other "positives" of this hotel. Every day you can sail for FREE 30 minutes on a catamaran or kayak or try your hand at windsurfing. At the same time, try not to swim behind the buoys into the swimming area - the beach workers will whistle you and “drive you out” of this restricted area. You can also get a snorkel mask for 2 hours - 2 hours is enough to get an idea of ​ ​ the animal world. In addition, it is worth noting the opportunity to drink excellent espresso coffee and (or) cappuccino in the bars. Many hotels offer this service for an additional fee.
