We rested at the Orental Bay Resort from January 6 to 20. In general, the impressions were good. The hotel is very beautiful, new, bright. In general, in Egypt, I like the oriental style. I read in old reviews that building materials were lying around, the paint had not been washed somewhere - everything had already been washed and nothing building was lying around. The rooms are very comfortable and large. The room has a shower, hairdryer, TV (there are 2 Russian channels), air conditioning. There is a refrigerator, which should be a mini-bar, but there are no drinks there, and it didn’t even work for us, and we didn’t need it. Water in a bottle of 1.5 liters is brought to the room every day. Cleaning every day. The territory is very green, well-groomed, gardeners are constantly working. One outdoor pool (depth 130) heated. There are many cats and kittens living in the hotel, we fed them every day. But they are not like our cats, they are not given into hands.
The food is monotonous, there is not much choice, but we were not hungry. There are no packaged juices, only their powdered drinks. Ice cream is served from 15 to 17 at the pool bar, but it is not tasty. The staff in Russian knows only a couple of words, so whoever goes there - learn English. There was one conflict moment with the staff. A week later, on Sunday, the Russians left, and we stayed for another week. When I went to get drinks on the beach, the bartender demanded to show the bracelet, call the room number and did not want to give anything. Then we went to the dining room for lunch, so they started running after us, looking at the bracelets again, asking for the room number and behaving extremely boorishly. Then it turned out that they confused us with those who were leaving and thought that we were trying to eat illegally. They went to apologize to us, smiled, but spoiled the mood for a couple of days, it was already unpleasant to go to this dining room of theirs. By the way, bracelets are removed at exactly 12.00, and if you come to rent a room earlier, they will remove it earlier. Without a bracelet you can not take drinks and go to the dining room, they carefully monitor this. Therefore, if the check-out is late, you need to get food from the dining room in advance, so as not to be hungry all day. Wine is given only in the dining room for lunch and dinner, it is nowhere else, you can’t take it out, if they see it, they will come running with a check. And so you can take it in the lobby bar for extra money. There are very few Russians in the hotel.
There is a shopping center on site. You can buy souvenirs, textiles, seasonings. We bought something, but everything is very expensive, because there are no competitors. In the T-shirt store, there are mostly only T-shirts with Dior, Burberry, Diesel and other well-known brands, and with the same labels of the same color and font, only the brand name is different. Who traveled to Egypt knows this joke.

You have to walk across the road to the beach for 5-10 minutes. On the day of our departure, straw fences for the beach were brought to the hotel, so they are slowly being bought. There is a bar on the beach, at lunchtime you can have a bite of pizza, french fries, meatballs. The beach is sandy and the entry into the sea is sandy, but then the reef begins, so it's better to take coral shoes or buy them at the hotel's shopping center for $10. The reef is very beautiful, maybe the most beautiful in Marsa Alam. Lots of fish, colored corals, shells. We saw an octopus once. Turtles, unfortunately, were never seen. They say there are a lot of them in the Hilton. The worst moment on the beach is the toilet, something like a dry closet, there is always water on the floor, dirty, but what do you want from a plastic cabin.
There were 4 animators - 2 girls, a DJ and the most important animator Alex, who invents everything and entertains tourists most of all. He has been working in this hotel for 2 months, as I understand it, animators can wander from hotel to hotel, so I won’t write much about animation so as not to disappoint other tourists if they wait for these animators.
On the beach you can buy a motorcycle safari tour for $40 per person. Pegasus has $60 each. We took it on the beach, liked the tour, drove for 3 hours, drank tea with the Bedouins, there was no camel / horse, although they were promised. Well, the main thing for us was to ride ATVs. We also went to Aswan. Guides do not tell anything about excursions, so I will write a little for tourists. The excursion to Aswan takes place mainly on wheels, you have to travel a lot. We visited the Temple of the God Horus (Hora), the Temple of Edfu (these 2 temples are very similar, even the drawings on them are almost the same), a walk along the Nile, also visited the Aswan Dam and a perfume factory. Excursion for 1 person costs $158, with a discount of the first day $153. We drove back about 7 hours, the road is very exhausting. Therefore, whoever has not been to Luxor, I recommend going there - to go closer, more places to visit, more interesting and much cheaper. They never understood why Aswan is so unreasonably expensive. Moreover, the group may not gather for it.
They flew there with Orenburg Airlines, back with Nord Wind. Both flights were slightly delayed. As for Pegasus - well, Pegasus is like Pegasus, a lot has already been written about him.
In general, you can relax in this hotel, especially for those who speak at least a little English, want to take a break from their compatriots and want to see a truly beautiful reef right next to the hotel.
