10 years ago we first came to Marsa Alam. From now on, this is our love. This time it was Braika's turn. It is quite obvious that each of us chooses a hotel for himself. And it is clear that each hotel has its own zest. So, Braika during the corona virus.

Territory: well-groomed, well-thought-out, too large in my opinion, but this is by no means a minus, but simply a fact.

Food: if we talk about gastro tours and Michelin stars, then I would not recommend Egypt as such. And if we talk just about relaxing on the Red Sea, then personally food for me has little effect on the choice of a hotel. In general, I would recommend myself one where they give out a minimum of portions and a minimum selection of dishes. Perhaps this somehow contributed to not gaining, but losing a kilogram or two. After all, with "all inclusive" it is much more difficult to do. But this is already a personal digression from the topic.
The food is more than adequate and just perfect in a pandemic.

And if we also say that my husband, who does not like fish, ate it and praised it, then it’s just fantastic.

Rooms: considering that at 6 am I was gone, at 8 pm I was not there yet, and at 9 I was already asleep, then my opinion about the rooms is probably not too objective. What is clear is that the rooms are great. First settled in a room in building 6. Standard room. Just great. There is a diving center nearby (we will talk about it later), even a small piece of the sea is visible, quiet, birds. 2 minutes to the sea and restaurant. 3 minutes if you walk very slowly. Two nights before departure, they asked to be moved to a supposedly superior room, because the building was being closed for repairs. We didn't really want to, but so be it. Superior in building 3, in my opinion, is worse than the previous one. Yes, there is a new bathroom and good plumbing. That's all. The room itself is similar, no better or even bigger, and the bathtub is generally smaller. The sea seems to be visible better, but it is only a couple of millimeters.
And if you consider that this is further from the diving center, closer to the restaurant for 1 minute, but not as cozy and without birds as in the previous one, then the standard clearly does not lose to this superior category. I'll say more. In Fantazia, during the same period, all people were immediately settled in rooms of the highest category, where they really are better. I also managed to visit one country in June and instead of my cheapest standard, I was settled in a suite. Just. Virus. There are no people. After all, they do not lose anything, but how pleasant it is for a person. This is immediately a completely different attitude to the hotel, other memories, other emotions. In my opinion, it was worth putting everyone in buildings 11.12 and 13, which is right next to the sea. We asked to stay there for two nights when we were moved, because building 11 was occupied (the other 2 frolicked). They said they would close it. Not true, we saw how they settled there on the eve of our departure. Well, that's it.

Staff and service: no problems. Good team. Yes keep!
If once again in Braika, then my conversation with them will be very short: goodbye Egyptian television. Or 5 dollars. I repeat. If you love massage, then try it! I'm not saying that it's definitely not worth it. Since I am actually going overseas, such a mahlezh (30 instead of 50 and chatter) in a hotel of this level led me to this conclusion about massages for all subsequent trips to Egypt.

The sea: as has been repeatedly written, reefs on both sides of the magical lagoon. Both reefs are alive and beautiful. Swim - do not swim. If you want - you have sand, if you want - corals, if you want - a pier in general. Fish are present in sufficient numbers. The more you swim, the more you will see. There are several crocodiles that you get tired of watching. Once dolphins sailed into the lagoon, about a dozen. Well, fairy tale! You can go to the bay of the nearby hotel Aurora (30 minutes walk). Recommended for variety.
If you visit the pier of the previous Queen Marsa Alam hotel (10 minutes walk), it will be easy and pleasant to swim back to the hotel. Nothing special, but crystal clear water, schools of fish and just a new experience. Definitely worth it. Exactly an hour has passed since I left my sunbed and swam back at my own sunbed. Worth it. The turtle was seen twice in 12 days. Yes, there are fewer of them compared to some other hotels in the region. In general, the sea is fantastic. 10 out of 10. For which, in principle, I leave.

And finally the MAIN.
I went and took 2 serious books, telling my husband not to take any money, because I definitely won’t go anywhere, not on a single excursion, not in a single store, even for free, I will lie on my sunbed by the sea from 6 in the morning and only swim and lie down. But it didn't happen like that....And I am infinitely grateful to fate that this guy from the dive center did talk us into trying it.

DIVING center.

We tried to scuba dive, repeatedly went on some excursions from the diving centers of the hotels where we lived. But none of them can compare to Coraya Divers in Braika. They went on an excursion to see a sea cow. Well done! Yes, we saw her while relaxing at Fayrouz Plaza one day. But...But even having a rest once in The Three Corners Equinox, where we went this time to get a cow, the divers of that hotel did not offer and did not talk about tricks (investigations), as the guys from Braika do. But cow cow, the most fascinating thing is that we became divers and only now were able to truly feel all the charm of the underwater world. To say that we liked it is to say nothing. Yes, at some point it can be hard, something doesn’t quite work out, but it’s definitely worth it. My only regret is that I didn't do it earlier 20 years ago. Or at least ten when I first got to Marsa.
As a result, we have 10 dives and Advance Adventure certificates.
It all starts with Open Water (4 dives), but I immediately recommend taking or at least planning more, because my really enjoyable dives started from the 5th. In addition, the mask flowed, then the ears, then something else. Immersion is something special.
I thank the entire Coraya Divers team at Braika for opening up another world for us. It was, it's class, it's love for life. Of course, special thanks to our world's best instructor Haitham A. Sattar, to whom we wish many students and we know for sure that he will open up this incredible world to each of them. Haitham, you're sorry about that. which is so dull with time. I'll be fine with buoyancy, but I figured out the mask, you know. You're a big lad! You are a professional! You are smart! You are a good person! You are an example of an Egyptian to look up to. We will meet you! And I remember the hat.
Our congratulations also to Chris, who managed to pick up such a team, manage them so well and create the right atmosphere.
We wish you success, happiness, all the best and a speedy end to this pandemic. Thank you! And for everyone who has not yet become a diver, we recommend Coraya Divers in Braika.
And by the way, in Braika, for example, there is Nemo City, where you can really see a lot of Nemo fish. Very well! The only but. They are located at a depth of 21-25 meters. Therefore, there are no chances here, you need to dive, this is impossible to miss.

PS We crossed paths with a Swiss grandfather of venerable age, who has been diving for 40 years, having even been to Sudan. He showed his piece of paper, on which he writes down the years and places. Impressed.

And when he opens these recordings, he is automatically transported back years to Sharm, where the recordings begin, or to Mallorca, where there is nothing of the kind, but better than nothing, or to Braika, which he now regularly visits at the end of October. . early November to prolong summer and reduce autumn, which he does not like. I don't know how long this grandfather will live, but I wish him many more years of diving.
Perhaps we will cross paths with him again. I would like to. But no matter how much fate measured him, he did not live his life in vain, there is something to remember and where to return with thoughts. And I would not belittle the role of the sea in the life of this individual person. There are more of us like him. Swim! Dive in! Gain impressions and emotions! Get on with life! It's worth it.
