So, for the 11th time in Egypt (this time with family)!
This hotel was chosen based on availability:
1. Water park - for children.
2. House reef and new snorkel and dive sites for their parents.

Transfer from Hurghada airport took 2 hours 10 minutes.
The hotel is focused on "white" Europe, so the euro is in use.
In addition to us, there were 2 more Russian-speaking families, according to the animator.
I don't really care, but this is a definite plus for those who do not like Russo-tourists.
Take mosquito repellent with you.
I turned on the fumigator taken with me in the room - it works, but with a closed veranda.
Aerosol will be needed in the evening.

TERRITORY - pleasant, without the stink of watering green spaces with wastewater.

AQUAPARK - better than Sharm (more than Cleopatra and better than Albatros AquaPark Hotel)

ROOMS - the largest and most comfortable of all the hotels Egi, in which he visited.
Everything you need is there.

TV - 6 German channels, 4 Arabic and Italian, French, English and Russian.
Not a single children's cartoon.

BEACH - never lay on it, but it looked pretty decent.
My wife complained that there is tension with free sunbeds by the pools.
A small strip near the coast is cleared of corals, sand, waves do not reach.
Just good for those who just want to splash around.

FOOD.
On the territory of the only restaurant with a large terrace (the other, paid on the floor with the reception, was not considered at all).
Every evening there was a bias towards some kind of national cuisine - but on the whole the impression was not very good.
Have you read in the reviews "you will not stay hungry"?
I've always wondered about this.
Such a formulation seemed to me completely inappropriate in relation to 4-5 ***** (even Egyptian ones).
Now I understand that this can be.
If, as a rule, I really liked 2-3 items a day, then in this "five" - for all 7 days of rest:
- lentil soup. I've eaten it before, of course. But this one time, he really impressed me.
- sauce for stewed potatoes (moderately spicy and very tasty). I poured it separately from the potatoes into small soup cups and ate it as a soup 3 times.
- salad of finely chopped greens with vegetables and spices.
All this was served only once, on other days there were no repetitions ...
- 2-3 options for cakes for dessert.
That's all that I remember in terms of taste sensations!
An unprecedented case - sometimes saved a children's (! ) table, from where you could take cutlets and breaded fish fillets.
The rest (salads, hot dishes, desserts) - nothing!
There were no fresh juices, under their name some cocktails with jam were offered, 2 euros / piece.
The choice of fruits is very weak, and those that are - unripe. (bananas are so green that the peel was not removed ....etc. )
The only plus that distinguishes this hotel from the rest - sliced lemons for tea were served for breakfast.
ANIMATION - There are groups of animators focused on the target audience (Germans, Italians, etc. )

DISCO - By the sea. The first one in Egi hotel, where good European music was played from the 70s to modern.
Too loud - and this is the only negative.

SHISHA CAFE - Ahmad is the first master for me in Egypt, who cooked hookah wonderfully.
Smoked great and no nasty taste of "burnt wool" in the mouth.
It looks like he has the mixture ready.
As soon as I said that I wanted a salum with cherries, I carried it almost immediately!

SERVICE.
There are only a few such hotels in Egi, where there were practically no complaints.
This one is one of them, there was no negative!

Verdict :
replace the team of cooks - and a worthy Egyptian "five" would have turned out!

Further information about the possibilities of SNORKLING.

HOTEL REEF - there was no sense at all - constant waves!
Calmness was only once a week of rest.
But we couldn't take advantage of this either, because snork trips had already been bought at the hotel's German dive club.
For the future, I concluded: so that such a situation does not arise in the future, the hotel must be in a sheltered bay from the wind.
I came to this only now, because before such problems did not arise even on open sections of the coastline (for example, in Serenity Makadi Heights).

EL SHOONA
They swam from the shore.
beautiful corals, "wall".
there were green lawns, there were no turtles.
For the first time I saw the process of saturation in the South Asian tropical mackerel - in flocks, with their mouths wide open, they rushed in the upper layer of water and filtered plankton.
There are also dead corals, where you can see interesting things if you wish.

ABU DABAB
Very good!
Approximately the same conditions as in El Shoun, but the beach is equipped with the necessary.
That is, sunbeds with "mushrooms", etc. , if you wish, you can lie down.
Spacious bay sheltered from the wind.
Looking at the sea - on the left side there are corals with the usual set of fish (stingrays, lion fish, etc. ), in the middle there is a green lawn (according to conversations, a dugong was often seen) and dead corals.

It was on the latter that I saw the most interesting: a stone fish, a “guitar player” stingray, a cuttlefish, a “salt” fish flat as a leaf.
About the neighboring hotel Sol Y Mar Abu Dabbab read only negative reviews.
But it seems to me that for a photo hunter, the location and the bay itself more than compensates for the shortcomings, no matter how bad this “five” is.

MANGROVE BAY - as an alternative to the hotel's house reef.
first dead corals, then a wall and a depth of 15 meters or more.
A free bus takes you there 2 times a day at 12 and 15, and back at 13.30 and 16.30.
The escort forces you to swim in a group.
I agreed with him that I would swim separately, since photo hunting in a herd is meaningless.
It turned out that if you want to stay longer than an hour, then you need to agree in advance at the reception, because the principle “how much you brought - so much you brought” applies by default.

DOLPHIN HOUSE
It makes no sense to go there - if only because the presence of a life jacket is MANDATORY!
Alas, I missed it on deaf ears, but in vain!
Even the diving guide sat sadly on the boat, and when the Russian girls asked him why he was not in the water, he complained about it!
There were no dolphins, everything else (fish, corals) - as usual.
It's a pity 60 euros, but even more - a day wasted.

MARSA MOBARAK
A horseshoe-shaped bay, in the center there is a lawn with a rare overgrowth of algae, a depth of about 3 meters, big turtles nibbling grass!
Under the tortoise shell, a fish of the same length was seen clinging!
She rushed from one edge to another, it was not possible to take a picture of her.
From the lawn, towards the edge of the horseshoe, dead corals, then coral gardens.
In terms of the abundance of coral diversity and the abundance of objects for shooting, this is one of the best places in the entire history of my 3-year underwater photography!
Almost immediately after the start of the snorkel, a large stone fish was noticed under the coral, on which the cable of our yacht was fixed.
Then 2 more scorpions, 3 octopuses of different sizes.

And one more thing: if you don’t want to eat in principle, then there is a direct sense to donate lunch.
Which is what I did.
Just at this time there is no one in the water, the fish is not scared and no one interferes!

SHAAB MARSA ALAM
The place is ordinary. There is an undercurrent.
If there is a strong wind (as in my case), then time wasted!

SHARM FUGHANI, MAHELEG - reefs like reefs, nothing to remember.
