I want to leave a review about our 10th vacation in Egypt, maybe it will be useful for someone when choosing a hotel. We rested with two married couples in the second half of November 2014 at Concorde Moreen. First time in this hotel, second time in Marsa Alam. We make rather high demands on the conditions of rest, even our travel agent calls us “spoiled tourists”.
Choosing a hotel: we chose a hotel based on reviews (thanks to everyone who wrote), the presence of an interesting hotel reef and the price / quality ratio played a decisive role.
Transfer: Flight Kyiv - Hurghada 4 hours, transfer to the hotel from the airport on a large comfortable bus took 4 hours.
Check-in: We arrived at the hotel at 13-00, at the reception immediately put on bracelets and offered to have lunch. After dinner we were given rooms.
Rooms: gave 2 rooms in the 18th building on the 1st floor. Medium sized room, cozy and clean. Large plasma TV, minibar (empty), kettle and tea and coffee set, which is replenished regularly. The room has 2 large beds (we were later remade into 1), a safe, normal plumbing, mirrors, a wardrobe, bedside tables, a table, a hair dryer, in general, there are all conditions for a normal rest. There are no bathrobes and slippers, and in November they would not interfere. From your own terrace you can see a piece of the sea. All in flowers, on the terrace there are 2 chairs and a table. The rooms have very good light and sound insulation, the sound insulation from the corridor is very weak, you can hear everything. The cleaner worked conscientiously, sometimes surprising us with his towel creativity in the form of a monkey hanging in the doorway, or a man sitting on the bed. Well done Muhammad, thanks! A small drawback is that only 1 small bottle of water is brought to the room per day, with which you then need to walk and collect water yourself.
Hotel and territory: the hotel is very small (203 rooms), but homely. Everything is nearby. Despite the young age of the hotel (2 years), the area is very green, blooming and well-groomed. The gardeners work hard. Stone paths are cleaned regularly. At night, everything is illuminated and the hotel takes on a new fabulous look. The lobby is not big, but nicely decorated, interesting design, there is a colored mosaic dome.
Nutrition: I am a very picky eater and rarely give it a 5. In "Concorde Moreen" I want to talk about nutrition in detail. For 11 days of kitchen work on our figures, we gained several kilograms. The food is varied and of good quality. I think absolutely everyone will find something tasty for themselves. Separately, I would like to highlight the bread, it is always fresh and tastes great in the hotel. Breakfasts are standard: eggs of all kinds, yogurt, porridge, excellent beef sausages, potatoes (there were even pancakes), cheeses, cold cuts, vegetables, fruits. People, what else do you need for breakfast? For lunch and dinner, 2 types of soup, vegetables, side dishes, salads, meat, liver, fish, chicken, pizza, pasta in unlimited quantities, vegetables, fruits and chic desserts. Sometimes seafood was also served, cooked perfectly. Every evening they cook something on the grill (meat, barbecue, kebab or fish). For dinner, the chef came up with a variety of small snacks. Separately, I would like to mention a very pleasant and friendly chef who works on the grill and other processes named Yahya. I was pleased with the coffee machine with all possible types of hardware coffee, as well as a large selection of teas. The pool bar offers pancakes and waffles with various sauces, sandwiches and french fries. Everything is very delicious. In general, many thanks to the chefs and waiters in the restaurant!
What was especially surprising was the attitude of the chefs towards the guests. All the chefs are smiling, especially I would like to mention 2 sous-chefs Ali and Muhamed, who, in addition to being an excellent cook, constantly approached the guests, asked if everything was in order, if everything was delicious. The chef deserves special praise, he personally greets the guests, asks for their opinion, but the most interesting thing is that he can invite you on a tour of his kitchen. We were lucky to be there. The kitchen surprised me with its clean, sterile and high standards: a separate area with refrigerators, tables, stoves and utensils for chicken, a separate one for meat, a separate one for fish, a separate one for baking, a separate one for vegetables and fruits. We didn't worry about our health. Of the waiters, I would like to single out Muhammad Ali for his promptness, timely submission of orders and for his interest in learning new languages. Thanks again!

I especially want to praise the wonderful guys at the lobby bar of Rajab and Ramdan, and the bartenders at the pool bar of Tarek and Said, who always served with a smile and at the speed of sound.
Service: I would like to note the clear and well-coordinated work of the guys at the reception (all minor household problems were solved instantly, for example, toothpaste was brought within 5 minutes after the call, which is surprising for Egypt) and especially the guest relations manager Maria. The man clearly loves guests and his job. Feel free to contact her with any questions. Congratulations on birthdays were unforgettable (a letter and a small souvenir were brought to the room, and in the evening the entire restaurant staff sang and congratulated, then they presented a cake). In general, the service can be said that the hotel is impeccable. Not a single negative episode with the staff, only a solid positive. Animation: a team from Italy, only 4 animators and a DJ. Guys are good. Although we are not Italians, the animation approached us daily, invited us to daytime and evening entertainment. Often in the evening they organize original performances on their own and by the forces of vacationers. Daytime activities are very active: yoga, aerobics, water aerobics, dancing. There are imported dance and fakir shows. Not bad for Egypt. Guys, thanks a lot! I would like to ask for a show with cobras, live music at the lobby bar and diversify the repertoire of the evening disco.
Beach: the beach is clean, cleaned, sunbeds are normal, there are enough towels, there is always a place, you don’t need to take it from the night. There is a changing room and a shower on the beach. The pontoon is wooden, not long and very convenient for descent. A rope will be stretched from the pontoon along the southern reef, with big waves you can view the underwater world, holding on to it, and with a strong current, you can get onto the pontoon with the help of a rope. There is always a lifeguard on duty on the pontoon.
Sea: The hotel is located in a very interesting bay of Abu Dabur. The bay in November is quite windy and stormy, the current can be very strong. The waves partially break on the coral, which makes it possible to swim in the bay. Right under the pontoon there are cascading coral thickets and fish. There is a north and south reef, both are very beautiful. The corals are very bright and quite lively with lots of fan and fire corals. Livestock is present - from very small dascils in huge quantities to whole flocks of large blue-spiked rhinos. There are rhinoceroses, surgeons, angels, zebrosomes, squirrels, soldiers, abudebduffs, lion fish, butterflies, flutes, stingrays, etc. , we have also seen titanium triggerfish. Sometimes dolphins swim close. Turtle and shark, unfortunately, were not seen, but apart from them there is something to see. Each meter of the reef is a separate little world that lives its own life. It was not possible to swim far, there was almost always a strong current and the lifeguard asked us to return closer to the pontoon. After lunch it started to storm, and visibility deteriorated. Near the stairs lives a nice, but very poisonous lion fish (from 1 to 3 individuals). When you swim, she floats away from the stairs, and when you get out, she swims very close to the steps, as if showing her curiosity and friendliness, be careful.
Tours:
1. We took an excursion on a yacht to the Dolphin House (Samadai) at a local diving center, we liked it, it was well organized. Dolphins were seen, but not close, they swam around the yacht when we left the port. Then there was snorkeling along the Samadai reef, the reef is very beautiful. People even saw a small shark.
2. We took a taxi to Abu Dabab Bay. The bay, as it was 2 years ago, is magnificent, but only 3 turtles were seen (previously 7 were seen), no guitar players were seen, there were much fewer large living creatures on the northern reef, and much more tourists. But coral, small fish and huge flutes, as before, impressed.
3. We walked 2.5 km to the north to the bay of Marsa Murena. For a change, you can see the coral is beautiful in its own way and living creatures are present.
4. From the taxi service, we took a small bus to Sharm El Luli Bay (this bay is called the Caribbean Beach). The appearance struck with its colors: dunes, an endless beach with a spit and an endless azure sea. First, you walk knee-deep in water for a long time, then coral bushes gradually begin, small, but so inhabited by living creatures that you can’t even believe your eyes. Gradually, a coral wall appears, if you swim across it, then on the other side there is a sharp cliff and an incomparable coral with fish. Just don't take your eyes off it. The bay struck with its beauty.
General impression of the hotel: a small, beautiful and cozy hotel with a well-groomed green area, a bright reef, good quality cuisine and excellent service. Yes, there were shortcomings, but they were so insignificant that they did not affect the quality of the rest at all. If you come with a positive attitude and with the aim of relaxing, and not looking for flaws and throwing out negative emotions on the staff, then the hotel will do everything possible for this. We don't care if Concorde Moreen is 5 star by world standards, our mood in this hotel was 5 star. And this is the most important thing on vacation. "Concorde Moreen" entered the "three" of our favorite hotels in Egypt. I would like to come back to this hotel at least one more time!
