An irresistible desire to return to the Marsa Alam region, quite by accident, led to the Crown Plaza Sahara Oasis
because earlier it was expensive and not ALL at all. And there it is! It turned out that since 2010 there have been offers "all inclusive", and even significantly cheaper than in the district. Gotta take it! Joyfully whining, he campaigned among friends - as a result, families with children, we, in the amount of 10 people, cheerfully moved to the Chelyabinsk airport to depart for the hot land of Egypt : )
Five hours flight plus 3.5 hours by bus from Hurghada and here we are entering the territory of Port Ghalib. I got the impression that the Pegasus driver was here for the first time - he stopped at the forks a couple of times to clarify where to go - but he took us to the right place : ) At the reception we were greeted with juice and an offer to sit down from the road and fill in a couple of papers. Having dealt with the writings, he immediately left with an inspection of the toilet room. "Well, what can I tell you about Sakhalin?! " Hmmm ...Spacious ...

Very spacious. There are small rolled up terry towels for hands in a basket near the sink. The beauty of the toilet touched my gloomy Soviet nature : ) With a satisfied smile all over my face, I went back to the reception. And then everyone was already given envelopes with cards from numbers and explanatory literature. Cards in an envelope according to the number of people living in the room, which I think is very correct, of course, you can always ask for the required number of "keys", but when this has already been taken care of for you, it's good!
Immediately, the hotel employees grabbed our suitcases, loaded ours onto a cart, but loaded our friends and their little things onto electric cars and rolled along the narrow aisles. We did not go far, but it was confusing. Room on the second floor, spacious and beautiful. An electric kettle, mugs, a tea/coffee/sugar set and a welcome pack of dried fruits and nuts. LCD TV.
You open the closet - the light inside lights up, here you are, please, an ironing board and an iron, here are bathrobes and slippers for you ...Well, what can I say - GOOD. Spacious loggia - view of the garden / trees. Silence. They rushed to the shower, then deftly put on shorts, T-shirts, slippers and into the territory. Beautiful, spacious, not crowded, the second largest outdoor pool...blah blah blah. Breakfast was already over, and dinner had not yet arrived, in search of something to get food - he ran around the surroundings like a fly. After snacking on sandwiches and fruit, we continued to rush around the territory happily. Yeah ...there will be where to wander. They don’t wear bracelets here, there are a lot of hotels plus the port - the scheme of the entire region of the port of Ghalib is not assimilated with a swoop, here you need to thoughtfully and slowly. Reminiscent of the TABA HEIGHTS region only in Masa Alam. This is unspeakably pleasing.
Eatery. At dinner, it turned out that the canteen presented Chinese, Indian, local, Italian cuisine.

Wiping his tears from the sharpness and squealing with delight, he ate Chinese dishes on both cheeks. A couple of days later I added Indian dishes to the diet. Indian dishes are spicy without talking Chinese. I rushed back and forth from the "Chinese" to the "Indians" and vice versa : ) I didn't get to the traditionally good pastries ...I didn't fit : ) Well, what else can I say about the canteen! ? Bottled wine, Stella beer (which is not good), fruits, normal ice cream, all sorts of fish, crabs ...They feed for slaughter. I am very satisfied with the food because I love spicy food and here it IS.
Bars. There are exactly two of them. One in the main building, next to the venue for evening events, the other by the pool, it is also 100 meters from the beach. Beer, as I said, Stella from bottles. This is not draft Sahara at all: (There were no cocktail cards, the bartenders seemed stupid. As long as you tell what you need to mix, you will get tired.
But by the middle of our stay, equipment for bottling beer and wine of three types was installed. They brought draft Sahara and bartenders more nimble. It has become better : ) For children, normal packaged juices are poured. Yes! From sunbeds on the beach to the bar you have to walk. But it’s for the best, it didn’t bother us - the main thing is to observe the daily routine: sunbathing-swimming-beer-and with the children on the lazy river / water slides ...occasionally running back to the bar ...and then dinner will arrive in time : ) Convenient .
Entertaining. Water slides are not very neatly made along the joints, therefore it is quite dangerous to ride on your heels and shoulder blades (after a couple of such descents, I apparently hit my leg, then it periodically hurt). You have to ride on special mats. The speed is certainly not the same, but the children like it. It was hard to get out. Battles on a lazy river, with its waterfall and all sorts of jets, took a lot of strength, but they received no less pleasure than children.
It was noisy and splashed in all directions.

Two volleyball courts: one on the beach, the other between the buildings by the pool. Both are good, but on the second one, some pests sketched buttons: (we played there only when a strong wind blew on the beach. As usual, mostly former Soviet citizens plus a couple of foreigners played. And as usual until dark. Then the ball was brought to the animators. From 10 o'clock you can go and sign up with a special girl for mini-golf, billiards, ping-pong. One hour a day - for free. Two tennis courts - for money. We got into the habit of playing mini-golf, we didn’t want to do anything else. Yes, we rolled balls a couple of times during the day with my son. On the beach behind the InterContinental there is a rental center: suits, masks, snorkels, fins, boats, catamarans...maybe something else. billiard tables, but this is already common for the entire region.
Port, embankment for the promenade, a street with shops and cafes. Standard Egyptian animation never worries me, so I can only say one thing: there is something there. The animation team included a Russian guy and a Ukrainian girl, and all sorts of Italians and other Arabs.
Beach. Spacious, sandy, enough sunbeds. A solid pier with a lifeguard constantly present. Depth from the pier - over 10 meters. The stairs are comfortable, if you want to go down it, or if you want to jump straight from the pier area. I - jumped (2 meters high) - very convenient. Towels are given/collected on site. You can walk along the sea outside the hotel. It is quite possible for children to tinker in the sandy gullies. Wind, sea, waves, silence...it's great on the beach!

Two days before departure, 1400 (one thousand four hundred) Italians arrived. At the conference...They were pompously greeted. The horses were dancing. The local orchestra played something of its own Egyptian.
Tables were set even on the lawns, but the canteen coped. We opened a temporary bar with imported alcohol for the participants of the rally. They say some of ours managed to get into the trust and participate in free drinking. I don't like Italians - that's why I don't know what happened there. I slept in the room, it was not noisy. And it's good that it was time for us to leave. We left in a great mood, leaving all this crowd...

End of the first part.

PS. The second part will be about the sea : )
