Beautiful modern hotel complex
I finally have the time and peace to share our wonderful experience at Jaz Amara. We vacationed at Jaz Amara from April 8 to April 18! We had a great time at this wonderful hotel! Of course, we were very worried about the negative reviews (since March), but looking back we can only report positive experiences!
We chose the SUPERIOR Deluxe Pool Room and were very happy with our choice! We stayed in room 6007 and had a sea view (side) with direct sun until about 2.30 pm! There was a pool bar up front that served us at eye level, with great drinks and good chill out music! We thought it was great, but for people looking for peace and quiet the garden side is better. The rooms are very spacious and equipped with lots of closets! Our room also had a door so our daughter could escape from time to time! Very good decision!
The highlight was the kind man Feh who cleaned our room every day! Many thanks to Mohammed from room 6007! He put so much effort into making sure everything was always clean and stocked! Very friendly! If something was out of stock, we were replenished within 10 minutes! The staff works from 06.00 to 20.00 and does everything to make guests feel comfortable!
We never waited more than 10 minutes for a drink or food! I can't understand the criticism at all! In Switzerland we wait longer for food! The food was absolutely delicious and the whole family enjoyed it... even the pickiest of us. The salads and vegetables were always freshly prepared and we actually ate everything without hesitation and were also able to try typical Egyptian food! There were ice cubes in almost every drink and we had no stomach problems...4 liters of fresh mineral water were filled in the room every day!
The food was very good and the food was deliciously prepared! After 10 days, the food began to repeat itself and at some point stopped being so varied! But this is always there (even in other hotels) when you treat yourself to a buffet! Perhaps a tip to the hotel is to give you the option of not only visiting the Asian restaurant or the beach BBQ once during your entire stay, but visiting and using both restaurants (at least for 10 nights or more).... would add more variety !
We chose the Asian restaurant and were very impressed and very well served! Also, it was my husband's birthday during the holidays and, in addition to two cakes, he also received a chorus song from the service staff, including the managers! They put in so much effort! Mohammed in room 6007 even made my husband a cake out of bath towels decorated with flowers and decorated the entire room with balloons!
We really can't complain, we had a wonderful holiday, we were spoiled! Every wish was fulfilled immediately, and we felt like the entire team put in effort, actively sought feedback, and also did everything they could to make improvements (if something didn't work right away)!
We snorkeled almost every day and were able to see and observe a variety of fish, manta rays, manatees, turtles and even smaller animals! We snorkeled either in the morning at 8am or after 4pm (which was a bit quieter) as there are a lot of tour boats anchored in this bay. But this did not bother us, since we chose a different time for snorkeling!
The hotel also has a pharmacy (I think this is important as I didn't know about it and took all my emergency medications with me). There are also two shops in the hotel that sell goods at completely inflated prices!
We were simply robbed (but we ourselves are to blame, since we simply didn’t count)! We laughed at ourselves and now take the overpriced air mattresses back to Switzerland! Now they should last at least one season...until they wear out.
What else needs to be reported: there is a volleyball court, a beach volleyball court! On the beach you can try your hand at bocce ball and other games. There is a diving club on the beach...but we can't write anything about it since we didn't use it!
We weren't bored, even though we didn't go on any excursions, and there was always something going on! Including a great boho beach party! Very good! Our 14 year old daughter made friends very quickly, which was great for her since volleyball was played every day!
