Compared to its sister hotels, "Madina" is a rather small hotel and certainly deserves its positive reviews to date. If we were to stay at Madinat Coraya again, it would be our first choice of all hotels starting with "Jaz"! The short drive from the airport, if you chose Marsa Alam as your destination, was highly rated in previous reviews. Yes, the hotel is "only" in the second row, so booking a "sea view" is not possible, but not necessary. The walk to the beach through the well-maintained Madinat between the two hotels "Jaz Lamarya" and "Jaz Solaria" takes a maximum of 5 minutes. When you get to the beach, it is recommended to take the left side. There you will find enough sun loungers and umbrellas, as well as extra cushions for sun loungers. These 3 hotels would always be our first choice in Madinat which consists of 9 (?
) hotels, since all other hotels (except Steigenberger hotels) do not have direct access to the sea during heavy seas (which happens often...), as the piers are closed. The mentioned hotels are located in a sheltered bay. Outside the hotels is a dead zone. If you need some activity, you will have to take a shuttle/taxi to Port Ghalib. On the other hand, divers and snorkelers get their money's worth, as every day there is something new to discover on the (still) very well preserved reefs. The snorkeling tours offered by Coraya Divers or agencies were also good. On the other hand, the Egyptian glass bottom boat tour is only for those who love "carpet walks"...We have rarely experienced such good friendly service. Again and again the staff/management asked if everything was ok.
Once, during an evening written survey of guests, we expressed the opinion that the cocktails could be better in quality. This "problem" was taken so seriously that a note was placed under our door that evening asking us to contact management to resolve the problem. Respect! Cocktails after that were much better (at least for us). Everyone else, from the cleaners, gardeners, all the gastro workers to the hotel management, is always smiling. The food is of good quality and the choice of food is in line with the size of the hotel. The atmosphere in the main restaurant is very pleasant (during the flights to Solaya and Lamaya, it was more like a train station lobby, even if there was a bit more choice). A little more variety would be nice, and also maybe the themed nights would live up to their promises (Gala? / Sushi at the Italian night? ) The minibar is chargeable (we don't know that) and it doesn't have champagne or prosecco.

We had completely different impressions in Egypt in the 4 * sector ...Therefore, only 5 suns ...We almost did not use animation (not intrusive). Evening activities, in my opinion, were at a fairly high level. There was live music in the lobby bar every other day. My partner booked a massage at a nearby spa and was delighted. If you are into the underwater world then you are in good hands at Coraya Divers (right on the beach). Our snorkeling trip was small and professionally organized. Nothing to complain about....Comfortably equipped and relatively large room. The room service was not only creative but meticulous in cleaning.
