We chose this hotel based on reviews on this site and were not disappointed. Moreover, improvements are noticeable, especially in nutrition. Good value for money.

Pros:

+ Location: 30 min walk to Marsa Mubarak (bay where turtles and dugongs are), 25 min walk to Port Ghalib city.
+ The reef is amazing, especially if the sea is calm and swim away, we compared it with Ras Mohammed in Sharm, if for snorkelers. In general, during this trip we saw everyone: turtles, dolphins, dugong, octopus and even a shark, not to mention smaller fish. But this is not only near the hotel, but also on excursions.
+ Food, very healthy, quite varied, awesome jelly for dessert, white cheese, salads, beans, they definitely weren’t hungry, but they didn’t get fat either. : )
+ Hotel staff, smiling, friendly, try to help if there is a problem.

Minuses:

- Weak security.
- No wi-fi in the rooms, at the reception is weak when a lot of people use it.

- The tour company that sits near the reception, yalla excursion, is a disappointment! They lie to sell the tour, do not return the money, even if there is still a week before the tour, the quality of the tour itself is low and the prices are high.

Life hacks:

In Marsa Mubarak: turtles will always be on the right side of the bay, dugong - if you're lucky, it swims relatively close to the shore when the sea is calm. There will be boats to throw people over a turtle or a dugong - you can swim up to them from the shore and ask if there is a dugong or not. But the sea is calm and there is no wind - the guarantee of meeting with the dugong around 9-10 hours!

We brought home 30 kg of mangoes. For tourists it costs $3-4, for locals - $1.75. To buy mango at the second price, you need to go to Port Ghalib, where the locals live, there is a fruit shop near the supermarket, ask there when the mango will be delivered and how much it costs and say that you will take a lot. And it will be even better if you take a local friend with you to negotiate.
Port Ghalib tourist - prices for "white cows", ice cream 4 euros. : )

Well, I highly recommend sea excursions. We were lucky to meet a very good guide with whom we became friends. I advise you to go to the 3 Hamata Islands (we even wanted 2 times), to the Coral Garden (we met dolphins there) and on a 2-day excursion to the Dolphin House.
