With my family, we have repeatedly been to Egypt, and mostly in good 5 *. I would give this hotel 3* maximum. But everything is in order. We rested there from 11/14/2010.
This hotel used to be called Nuweiba Holiday Village. To begin with, the child and I were settled in a room where there was an iron sink, rusted in places, with broken edges, the shower was a 0.5 m * 0.5 m metal tray with yellow stains from water with a curtain, I’m generally silent about the toilet . The furniture in the room was so old, maybe even my grandmother used it. After violent indignation, we were offered a better room, though the furniture also left much to be desired. Attached is a photo of the last one. There were no Russian channels. The refrigerator was empty, you could buy water in it for $2.50.
The hotel has one single restaurant and two bars that are open from 11 am - one at the restaurant, the second - on the beach. Before their discovery, one could not even dream of any drinks. For breakfast in the restaurant from drinks only tea and coffee. Locally produced wine was for a fee. All drinks were in plastic cups, even water (they refused to give it bottles), rum, whiskey were poured less than 50 grams. per person.

Food - it was of high quality, though monotonous: fried fish, potatoes, rice, steamed vegetables and sometimes meat. Fruits were only melons and oranges. Sometimes dates were given for dinner. They were not allowed to take anything with them, even to the adjoining terrace. Often the food that was offered for dinner was then processed and presented for lunch the next day. In between breakfast, lunch and dinner - nothing was offered to eat, it's just not provided. If you want to eat, buy.
The beach is sandy, there is a small pier. In the sea, a lot of corals, just super. In Sharm, we went to the reserve - there was simply nothing to see there. There are few fish, but plastic bags often floated in the sea. In the last couple of days there was an influx of jellyfish. There was no animation - the only time we watched a belly dance - and then only because of the Kuram Bayram holiday.
Basically, this hotel is intended for those tourists who travel to Israel and stop either to spend the night or have a snack. Those who purposefully came to rest in Helnan Nuweiba 4 * for a week were few, a maximum of 20 people. The system is half board and that says it all.
