The air conditioner operates in cold and very cold mode. 17-19 degrees, stubbornly issued from the nozzle of this device, instantly chilled out the room even in the Low mode. The blankets in the closet were not warm enough, and when the freezer was turned off, the African heat set in very quickly. After experimenting with climate equipment, a compromise solution was found for mixing hot air from an open window and an invigorating breeze from a refrigerating unit, but new adventures awaited us! With the first rays of the sun through the open window, the local fauna came to us in the form of flies and mosquitoes. Stop sleeping - it's time to wake up! At the reception they said that the number could not be changed. There are no free bungalows and never will be. We decided that we could somehow survive without a separate air conditioner and a large flat-screen TV.
Local flies are an unexpectedly mysterious flying object for a European. Amazingly nimble insect! Favorite places for mosquitoes to land are the eyes, ears and nose of a person, if the head starts to get nervous and make sounds, fly to the body, and then to the arms or legs. At the same time, the main condition is to sit on a bare part of the body, run 2-3 centimeters and take off again. The place was not immediately, but we managed to find it, and soon the bar will open. I'm all in heaven!

With an air of a seasoned man, pulling in my stomach as far as possible and straightening my shoulders, I dip my feet in the Red Sea with the gait of a terminator. Wow, b-r-r and the sea is cold!! ! The water temperature is not more than 22-23 degrees! But the path to the water's edge has been done, nothing can be done, you need to dive into the abyss. Getting used to comes after 10 minutes. Looking around, we see clean clear water, fish and divers in masks. Nearby there are several fabulously beautiful small reefs. Corals and aquarium fish of all colors of the rainbow, starfish and crabs on buoys. Calm, you don’t want to get out of the water, but you also need to warm up. The wife sunbathes while sipping drinks and warding off annoying flies and tour vendors. A child in the shade is trying to open a concrete slab with a scoop… Stop! It turns out that the entire beach is concrete slabs + 1-2 cm sand. You can build sand castles and make sand cakes only on the coastal edge. Poor fellow Beach Boys constantly, in the morning and in the evening, try to level this unfortunate centimeter with a special rake so that bald spots do not appear (strange, of course, because the desert with tons of sand is only 100 meters away)!

Lunch: Coming to the opening at 12.30 is pointless, unless, of course, there is a love for queues. French fries with ketchup and pasta with tomato sauce, rice. Beef and chicken, delicious battered fish (boneless). Mass of stewed and stuffed vegetables, salads. Sometimes grapes, always melons and never watermelons, many varieties of dates, sliced ​ ​ oranges and grapefruits. Baking and desserts. Flies. You crawl out barely alive and wander to the hotel for a little rest. The room is already clean and cool, leaving the air conditioner on is not prohibited. Arriving workers put the bed and toilet in order, change towels and bed linen daily, starting from the ground floor.
On the street + 38-40, the sun is at its zenith. For those who do not want to change their skin layer to a newer one, there is time to sleep or go shopping. We will find the islands of trade, leaving both to the right of the hotel and towards Safaga. If you like something in the shop, you can and should bargain hard.

During the day there was not enough clean dishes and it was unusual to see people with empty and not clean dishes in their hands in the queue for drinks! All this attitude towards “ours” exploded the patience of even the most decent, intelligent people. I have seen and heard of such incidents many times. Now it is clear why the Russian-speaking guide from Pegasus named Amr was constantly on duty at the hotel!
