November 2 returned to a friend from this PARADISE! The hotel is very majestic and beautiful. Only the lazy did not write about architecture. Really cool and really a lot of stairs-transitions - leave the hairpins at home. As a last resort, clogs, ideally sandals. We walked a lot, but oddly enough, it does not tire at all. So don't be scared. And if for some reason it’s hard for you to walk a lot, a bus runs around the territory. We rode it once (solely out of curiosity).
We arrived around 4 pm. Posted quickly. At first they tried to send them to the second building. They asked for a room with a terrace (there are none in the second building, by definition) - without problems (and money! ) They sent it to the fourth. An employee of the main building took the luggage to the room, showed where everything was, cordially wished a good rest and left.
The room is excellent, with a separate dressing room and a glass wall to the terrace and the sea (well, you can’t call it a window). The view is amazing!! ! They left their things, took out their swimwear and immediately flopped into the pool (the wind had already risen on the sea, a red flag was hanging). We splashed around for an hour - we returned to unpack things and dress for dinner in the main restaurant.

Main restaurant (dinners and breakfasts) The abundance of food at dinner caused a slight anxiety for the figure. WHO HAD NOTHING TO EAT THERE? ! Yes, we have not tried everything that was offered for the whole holiday !! ! A lot of stewed and fried meat, a sea cocktail stewed with vegetables, some kind of fish... plenty of vegetables, one leaf lettuce of 3-4 types. Cucumbers, tomatoes, radishes... (I don’t advise you to take chopped tomatoes - in such heat they give sourness in half an hour, although they are fresh). There are several types of prepared salads. There are seasoned ones, and there are just chopped ones (the sauces for the latter are next to each other in white ceramic buckets with scoops). There is also a choice of fruits - oranges, tangerines, apples, guava, pears, a couple of times there were grapes, fresh dates, bananas, kiwi, melon... Yes, and more dried fruits! For breakfast - an omelet (they make it in front of you), yogurts, muesli, cereals, pancakes - and a bunch of sauces and fillings for them in the form of fruits, nuts, sweet sauces. We are used to eating more impressively in the morning - please, meat, chicken, some meatballs, fish, potatoes, pasta, salads... Amazing cheeses, cheese, whipped with herbs and finely chopped paprika... But I generally keep quiet about pastries !! ! Just mountains of all sorts of buns, croissants and pretzels, muffins and cakes! And all this is very tasty! And they feed from 5 am to 2 am !!!! ! Well, red caviar was not noticed - sorry))))!
Harbor Inn waterfront restaurant (lunches) Best to go by 12:30 (lunch time) or 3:00 pm. More seats available. When you check into the hotel at 100% (which is exactly how we got there), you have to wait for a table. But they never waited more than 3-5 minutes. Everything is removed very quickly. The range is about the same as in the main restaurant. Plus the grill outside (didn't like it), plus the amazing gazpacho (delight).
Cafe Mozart and Gelateria. "Mozart" - coffee (very tasty! ) And pastries, "Gelateria" - ice cream.
Restaurants La Cart (dinners). By reservation. But if there are places, they can plant without an appointment. It's hard to give advice here. Go try it yourself. We got it like this: Italian - something very tasty (pasta), something so-so (pizza), fish - a complete disappointment, Brazilian - I liked it very much! In Brazilian, if you don’t like spicy, be careful with sauces: they have the most “anger”. But be sure to try the meat. Several types of meat are carried and laid out directly from skewers, all grilled... (beef, chicken, turkey, buffalo, lamb and something else unidentified. We personally ate on this one, but wore something else). There is a dress code in La Cart restaurants: shorts and T-shirts are not allowed.

Beaches. Yes, there are no pontoons - this is a clear minus. Yes, without coral slippers it’s better not to risk your legs (also a minus, but characteristic of the entire Red Sea coast). We bought slippers on the spot in a shop under the main restaurants ($12) - and did not bother. If you want to see the fish, go to the Royal Lagoon opposite the fifth building, they are there even without a mask, you can see how the kittens are spinning under your feet. By the way, by 6 am in order to take the sunbeds did not go even once!!! ! At 8 it is quite possible to find a place. Closer to 10 am already difficult. If you are indifferent to fish and your goal is sunbathing, it is better to go to the pool with sea water near the main building in the morning. There is a significant plus - in the afternoon, as a rule, they hang out a red flag and swimming in the sea is prohibited. The pool is also fenced with reefs, you can splash around until it gets dark. By the way, the fish and swim there, however, a little. And better, too, with slippers - the plates can be slippery.
Beach bars. Guys are just great!! ! Especially the two Mahmouds at the bar by the Royal Lagoon. Friendly, playful young guys. They spin like two clockwork oranges, while they exchange jokes with tourists, without ceasing to smile. They are very happy when they order milkshakes, not alcohol. But pina colada will be made for you in such a way that at first you will follow the manufacturing process with delight, and then with pleasure sip the finished product through a straw. You can also drink juice or coffee there. Someone in the reviews was indignant that the dishes were made of thick plastic on the beach. Yes, just imagine how many glass fragments would be on the beach? Vacationers take away glasses to sunbeds all over the beach and throw them away. They wrote that the glasses were washed with two fingers under a trickle from the tap. Yes, they rinse under the tap from the remnants of mint, lemon, etc. And then they wash it in the dishwasher! Yes Yes! Every beach bar has a dishwasher under the counter! In general, above all praise.
Service. Room cleaning is top notch. Towels were never put on the floor - they were still changed every day, as well as bed linen. Once, in a notebook on the nightstand, they drew a face and wrote "SUPER! " - after that, the cleaner on the beds began to lay out hearts and fish for us! And this is without money. The tip was left before leaving. Managers come up all the time, asking if everything is OK. And God forbid something is not OK! They react instantly. And yes, the staff is very friendly. They always say hello, smile, ask how you are. Unless, of course, you yourself go around with a face like a “shovel” - so that a compatriot will try to bypass it. Almost all the staff speaks tolerably Russian. But if you know English yourself, then you will not have problems with communication at all.
Animation. But with this ambush. The guys are obviously trying, but it turns out not very well. During the day, animators work near the pool near the main competition - everything is great. And music, and water aerobics, and volleyball... But the evening shows....um....Went every evening, never lasted more than 10 minutes. Although for kids such competitions are a joy.

Entertainment. Excursions, quad safaris, diving....but this is for money and during the day. And in the evening the choice is not great. Billiards, ping-pong, game consoles for children (30 minutes per room! And if there are two children - how to share it?! ), hookah and Fan bar. Fan bar - a small open-air bar near the main building. Tables, a small dance floor and live music. The range of drinks is approximately the same in all bars and restaurants of the hotel. Live music delighted. Two girls and two boys, Filipinos with amazing voices. One girl has a voice reminiscent of Whitney Houston. The repertoire is different: from Presley and ABBA to Celine Dion and Shakira.
Alcohol. Local alcohol is much weaker than we are used to. I really liked the local dry red wine. Very light and tasty. Beer is light. light, 3 turns, probably... But for such a hot climate - only a plus: "overdone" was not seen by definition. Strong local alcohol is specific. If you prefer good cognac to cocktails, bring it with you. You won't find Hennessy here. Although, it seems to me, among the local products you can find something to your liking.
Souvenirs. There are shops, of course. But at the airport you can buy all this 4-5 times cheaper. But! If you like oils, be sure to go to Ibrahim's shop. A very charming and pleasant guy, constantly sprinkling Russian proverbs. He has a huge selection of oils, spices and all kinds of natural ointments for all occasions. Plus, just enjoy the conversation.
We rested wonderfully. After reading the reviews, we were waiting for dirty tricks - I am very glad that they did not find it. In general, go - you will not regret it!! ! Everything is super duper!! ! Well, the animation will be replaced, I think, over time....The hotel is young, it has been operating for only two years . . And if you are traveling with a big company, then you don’t need this animation in figs...
If the opportunity presents itself, I will gladly go to the Citadel again!
