We arrived at the airport, quickly went through customs, as there were two planes - from Ukraine and Belarus. We were immediately seated on buses, only 10 people were going to the Citadel Hotel. 20 minutes. Immediately upon arrival, they gave the documents, put on bracelets and we went for breakfast. Somewhere around 9 am. For tomorrow there were omelettes, two types of sausages, grilled vegetables, sausages and cheese, mashed potatoes, rice. Sweet, there were no fruits, I think so, oranges, grapefruits, not ripe melon. We returned to the counter and immediately gave the cards, the fight went to the room, but there were two beds in the room, not one, but two, that is, my wife and I need to sleep on different beds. They said that it did not fit, returned to the reception. The manager said that they will fix everything right now, wait, they say, either the number has not been released, or they are cleaning it. Although we arrived on 07/04/2020 after quarantine, all the rooms were empty, and it is not clear to us why we had to wait. And for that, in general, we waited up to 3 hours, until we were again given cards.
The number was 3124 in building 3. No one took us to the room, we ourselves walked and looked for this number, asked those who clean or met us on the street. When we entered the room, we were surprised. We were told they were removing it. There were no towels, the linen was sulphurous, worn out, the pillow cases were dirty, the safe was blocked, there were no bathrobes, slippers. The refrigerator was unplugged, I had to climb inside that cabinet and plug it in. There was no water. We called the reception, they told us in 5 minutes someone would come up, but within 40 minutes we called, and no one came up. We ourselves went to the reception already to talk with someone from the authorities. They immediately turned on the frost, they say, they don’t understand Russian, but I explained in English what was the matter. This manager himself went with us and stood in front of us changing linen, fixing the safe, loading water into the refrigerator and the like. It was already 14 on the clock, half a day was lost. After such a start, the mood was not very good.
By food. It looks like the coronovirus has taken a toll. A lot of reviews looked on youtube about this hotel and 50% of what was shown was not there. There was little food, at lunch they made pizza from those sausages that they didn’t eat at breakfast, they made a grill outside and fried stew and french fries inside. Pasta tasteless, vegetables, two kinds of soups. In the evening, the situation is more interesting: there was always fish, and beef or chicken, rice, potatoes, pasta, and so on, we did not see seafood. The first days when there were few people, there were still places, and then when there were more people, since workers poured food at each station, there were huge queues, and those who came later stood in the corridor, they were filtered and not allowed into the hall inside. Ok, let's make a footnote on the coronovirus. The room is large, but old, the balcony is large overlooking the pool and the sea, this is the only plus - the view from the balcony.

By sea. There is only one entrance without coral, the place is normal there, but you need to walk a little to get there or drive an electric car. There were enough sun loungers, because we were at the beginning, but we don’t know how now. As for the a la carte restaurants. At the reception they wrote us down in Moroccan, but they didn’t want to write down in Italian, they said, they say, paid. We went to Moroccan, where they take out salads without a menu, then chicken from the oven, and couscous with veal, and baklava for dessert. Well, that's it. We met the manager of the bars on the Marina embankment, his name is Zakharia, a super person, good, sympathetic, told him the situation with a la carte, he called someone and we were signed up for Italian a la carte, and said that he could not be paid, they say, it is paid for the local Egyptians. I don't know why we were told that at the reception. In Italian, everything is delicious, the menu includes steak, beef with potatoes, sea bass fish fillet with rice, delicious pizza, pasta and more.
The bars on the beach near the pool are open from 10 am, and it is not known where to drink before, and close at 17.00. What to do next is unknown. There were no snacks, nothing like that, I don’t know, maybe this is due to the coronavirus. And when we bought the tour, the departure was on 07/11/2020 at 17.00, and then it turned out that 07/11/2020 at 7.00 in the morning. We were raised at 2.40 at night, at 3.20 there was a departure to the airport. At 6.00 a plane arrived from Ukraine, tourists got out of there, and we loaded onto the same plane. In general, it is clear why they changed the time, so that the transfer would not drive twice and kill two flies with one blow.
In general, since we have never rested anywhere abroad, this is normal, but it seemed that the service should be better. Well, or unless we write off all the shortcomings on the coronavirus.
