Hurghada was chosen solely because of the excursion to Luxor. We usually go to Sharm. Well, since the hotels of the Albatros chain are pretty good, our choice was Albatros Citadel. The hotel met all our expectations. Large area, beautiful architecture. The fact that it is built from coral gives a special coolness. Our room was even decorated with corals inside. Super!! ! But let's start with accommodation. We arrived at 10.30. In total, 10 people went to the hotel. At the reception, they took my passports, put on bracelets and said to take a walk for 30 minutes. After reading the reviews, I immediately asked for the 5th building and one large bed, and not 2 separate ones. And we went for a walk. We had time for breakfast, but there was already little left, but most importantly, we did not remain hungry. The hotel is huge. The beach is 1 km 600 m. For the whole rest, we never reached the second half.
In short, we walked for 2.5 hours. And what a surprise it was when we came to the reception, we were told to walk another 30 minutes. Of our fellow travelers, 2 more couples were waiting and violently swearing that they and their children were settled in the uppermost building. As a result min. After 30 we were called and given the key. Entering the room, there were 2 separate beds. Yes, and the case was the 7th, the topmost. Those. the exact opposite of asking. But the room itself is excellent, large, with a gorgeous view of the sea, so we decided to stay in it, while saving $ 20. But the first sediment was already left.
Next is the second sediment. This is the Toba guide. Here they already wrote for him, Hamlo is still something. I agree to everything 100%. Because in Egypt is not the first time, then we don’t go to a meeting with a guide, there is nothing new there except for agitation on excursions. But then covid, all of a sudden what innovations, I went. Toba was very nice at first, telling another nonsense, but then he carried nonsense that everyone should fill out a questionnaire and he would register everyone with this questionnaire with the police. They have a new law. And if you do not fill out the form, then (! ) I will not register you and upon departure you will go to the airport in different buses and even fly in different planes. Well it must be so driven. I listened to everything and naturally left without filling out the questionnaire. For two days in a row, notes were shoved under our door so that they would immediately come to register at the reception. Got it. And I went up to Toba with the questionnaire and handed over the completed one. And then Toba changes his face and says: "And the excursions? ". I explain that they came to relax at sea, and not on excursions. And then he says write a written refusal. Well, then I'm sorry I got it and I expressed everything that I thought. Like, I’ll contact the TUI and file a complaint that you are interfering with rest. Toba cooled down, but grumbled with a boorish look: "Come on, go rest... ".

Conclusion: do not see these guides, with inflated prices for excursions.
Sediment third. Having called a taxi to go to the aquarium, the car was not allowed to pass in front of the barrier. They said that covid and other people's cars are not allowed. A businessman sits in the lobby and organizes a taxi for (! ) 5 dollars to the barrier. And to it 1.5 km approx. I had to pay. He says, and back, too, 5 dollars. But the benefit was a woman standing nearby, and said that they have no right to not let the car with vacationers back in. So it came out of the hotel 5 dollars, to the hotel 0 dollars.

Now about the pleasant. In general, in the conditions that covid was in the yard, I liked the rest. There is almost no entertainment, everything is closed, only in the evening like a disco, and there are few people. But it is clear that in the period without covid there is enough fun for everyone. The hotel is 50 percent full. The food is not very varied, but we had enough. And for a week the assortment did not have time to get bored. But again, the discount is for covid. Wi-Fi in the room and throughout the area was excellent. We went to the sea and to Luxor. We got all of this.
Someone said that in Hurghada there are no reefs and only sand. Not true. The hotel has a gorgeous, long reef. And there are so many varieties of fish that we have not seen this in Sharm. Behind the statue of Neptune there is a gentle sandy entry into the sea. So there we saw stingrays, a lionfish, a turtle and 2 times a barracuda. Super!! ! There are many other fish, but I do not know the names. So the sea is 5+ here. Hotel for 5+. For children, lagoons with a sandy entry are made. Another minus is that there are no pontoons. Sunset right on the corals. But the impression of the sea covers all the precipitation and cons. We rested in October, there was almost no wind. We love Sharm very much, but we will return here again, we really liked the sea and the reef. And we are flying to Egypt for this.
