Good afternoon! ! ! So it was our turn to write a review) Before choosing this hotel, my boyfriend and I wandered around all sorts of sites for a very long time, read reviews, looked at photos. A lot has been written about the hotel, both bad and good, but as for me, bad reviews were left especially picky ...The view from our balcony overlooked the pools and captured the sea, it simply cannot be described in words! ! I'll be sure to add a photo! !
The service staff is excellent! ! Everyone is welcoming, friendly and very funny! ! Almost everyone in the hotel spoke Russian!
Our guide from the Anex tour was Mohammed ...a lot of unflattering words are also written about him. On my own behalf, I will add that on the first day - he was very open, he said that we can contact him at any time and he will help ...but after buying excursions - it was very difficult to find him, and there is no question of "help" ...

In principle, he didn’t do anything bad to us, he didn’t set us up, he wasn’t rude, but he spoke arrogantly.
About excursions:
we chose "Luxor Premium" and "Premium Yacht Tour", and did not regret it, though when we went on the first excursion it was very hot, I can't imagine what's going on in Luxor in July and August) But, despite the heat, there was a sea of unforgettable impressions! We visited the Temple of Karnak, the Mortuary Temple of the Queen-Pharaoh Hatshepsut, in the Valley of the Kings (we descended into three tombs, one of them is located approximately 130m underground in the rock). On the second excursion there was a Tsar's rest) we swam on a bathyscaphe, looked at the underwater world, then moved to the yacht itself, and then the fun began! ) At first we dived with scuba gear, the first time, of course, it was scary, an inexplicable panic covers when you try to breathe underwater) but it's worth it!
Then we rode a banana and snorkeled, admired the corals (all this is included in the price of the excursion), from Anex they will offer a free "Sightseeing tour to the city of Hurghada", but you should not go there! ! ! We lost almost a whole day because of her. We were told that they would take us to factories for the production of various oils, leather and fur products (although who needs it in a 30-degree heat? ), and, like, Egyptian cotton, and last but not least, to a souvenir shop. Let me tell you how this trip went:
1) We didn't see any factories! We were taken to ordinary stores, trying to sell our goods, Karina made a presentation to us in the oil store, I understand that it is her job to shove the goods, but when many of us refused to buy anything, she began to behave indecently, one look at her I said a lot ...and if you take oils, then in the shop at the hotel they are many times cheaper! !
On the eve of the trip, we bought oil perfumes from Kiro and Karim (by the way, they are very good guys! I got very burned in the sun and they! for free! gave us a balm).

2) Mohammed (guide) promised that on this excursion we would be able to buy fruits, but we didn’t even pass near them)
3) After the first "factory", the guys and I went outside to the bus, and, to our amazement, our guide, who accompanied us from the hotel, disappeared, like the bus with the driver, but another person met us and said that now he will be ours guide. Naturally, we became indignant and said that we would not get on this bus, but after 5-10 minutes a representative of the Anex tour came running, presented a certificate and said that we should have been warned that after each store we would change both the guide and the bus, and as you know, we were not told about it!
3) We stayed in the Leather and Fur store for a short time) firstly, no one was interested, and secondly, the prices there are like in the best boutiques in France))
4) Again, we didn’t find a “factory” for sewing things from Egyptian cotton) we were brought to a souvenir shop, and there in the basement there was a so-called factory) ordinary things (more like Chinese consumer goods) I won’t say anything about prices! ) The only plus of this trip is that we bought souvenirs.
5) Well, the final boiling point was again a new bus - WITHOUT AIR CONDITIONING! (in the first two he was! ) and so we drove all the way exhausted from the heat and stuffiness, it was unbearable to open the windows, because the hot air stream burned.
About the sea and the beach near the hotel:
Once we saw a low tide, when there was really no water up to the middle of the pontoon, this is at 10 am when we went to sunbathe directly on the pontoon.

By 12 o'clock everything was back to normal) so do not pay attention to the comments about the "terrible view of the sea. " If you want to swim - walk along the pontoon, on the left - there will be corals and stones, there you can watch the underwater world in masks, and on the right - an excellent bathing place, you can even dive on the pontoon. If you need depth right from the nose, and right at the very shore, then you will not find this here, but it seems to me that this is not so bad. As for the food, the food is delicious! Especially the fish! There were no queues at the restaurant (I don’t know, maybe at other times of the year there are more people in the hotel, since they write reviews that they were hungry).
Entertainment:
Every day there were different programs, discos, it was interesting. The animators offered to go to Hurghada for a disco, but somehow we did not dare)
During our stay in Egypt, there was a sad incident, 12.05. In 2015, a bus got into an accident, two people died.
On this day, we also went on an excursion, but not to Cairo to the pyramids, but to Luxor ...the hotel said that two girls from Moldova had died (namely from our hotel! ). The next day it was scary to go on an excursion, but thank God the driver was adequate, he did not fly headlong. Local people at the hotel (mostly tenants, they are there all the time) said that this was not the first time such accidents had occurred with the buses owned by AnexTour (Blue Sky), and that drivers were recruited without checking their honey. cards. So think after that - to go on excursions or not ...of course, it can also happen in any other place, it doesn’t matter, in Egypt or Russia, but far from home, such situations are more terrible to perceive.

If you do not take into account the day spoiled by a free tour, then the impressions of the rest are unforgettable! ! (note that you will be offered tours by your tour operator, not by the hotel!! )

We highly recommend the hotel - Amwaj Blue Beach Resort & Spa 5*! ! !
Maybe next time we will choose it again! ! A huge thank you to all the Amwej staff! ! !
