I won a ticket to a TV show (the sponsor was a large travel company, but since the advertising is not paid, I will not indicate the name)))))))))
My wife and I flew abroad for the first time (before that, only a bus), what and where at the airport is news. No one was found at the airport from the tour operator, but the detailed instructions on their website helped a lot, thanks for that.
In Hugard, we were met, taken to the bus (for 10 people a large Mercedes), everything was clear, no one was forgotten.

I did not expect much from the hotel - after all, the ticket is free for me. I read reviews about the hotel and they were contradictory, but mostly not rosy. I was saddened, of course, but the travel agency reassured me: “Until you see it for yourself, it’s too early to get upset. ” We arrived at the hotel by midnight. The restaurant, of course, is closed, but in the lounge bar: hot sandwiches, tea and coffee, juices, sweets - do not deny yourself anything. Within 10 min. issued a key and put on bracelets. The hotel has a U-shape, almost all windows overlook the courtyard. There are rooms near the main restaurant facing the desert, but there are only a few. I got a standard room on the 3rd floor, almost in the center of the building. I immediately checked the state of cleaning: bad - bed linen with stains, sand on the sheets, hair on the floor and in the bathroom, and in such quantity and in such places - it seems that they were specially laid out. He returned with a claim to the reception - after 10 minutes they changed the bed with a smile and promised to clean the room the next day. But things didn’t go beyond smiles in the future: although the bed was changed every other day (he marked the sheets), the hair remained on the floor, except that it changed its location. I left a dollar - it did not help: the dollar disappeared, but the rubbish remained on the floor. I didn’t spoil them with presents anymore. While I was going to the city for souvenirs, we rolled a swan out of beach towels - that was the end of the whole room service.
The food is, to say the least, good. Constantly meat, fish, a couple of times there were seafood dishes (for lovers of octopuses and crabs), the side dish is also mostly familiar: boiled, baked potatoes, pasta, spaghetti, rice. There were many local dishes, but we decided not to experiment: so, we tried a few, but without fanaticism. So the fears for the state of your stomach, inspired by the reviews you read, were not confirmed. Drinks: at any time and in any quantity (but no more than 3 glasses in one hand in one approach to the counter, if you drink, come again). Juices are normal, beer is delicious, rum is also rum in Africa. I don’t advise wine, that’s still a “bodyaga”. With a large crowd of our fellow citizens and neighbors from neighboring countries, with all the free access to strong alcohol, there was no noise in the style of "TAGIL !!! ", or "DONBASS RULES", which was extremely pleasing.
The staff is smiling, mostly friendly, if something is spoken in Arabic in the back, then with an obligatory smile on their face. Those who know Russian do not “freeze”, and those who don’t know, study along the way: “how are you? ”, “hello”. Italians to the bartender: "CHAO! " (which they mean both a greeting and a farewell), and he told them: “Chiao-cocoa! ”. Our school! The bus driver knows only his native language and English, but in parting to us: "Pokedova! ". Even though you order in English at the bar, they still answer in Russian - the bracelet gives out: the Slavs have a blue color, the Western Europeans have a golden one. Even the Poles (the European Union, no matter how). But the Croats in the color of the bracelets were equated to us. The courteous and pleasant administrator of the main restaurant, named himself Romkoy (see ours have long been called that): and he will lead you to a free table, although there are always plenty of them, and wish you bon appetit. Ali's hookah maker is also without "overshoots" - add tobacco and bring a new ember - everything is prompt. The bartender at the bar by the central pool was cool: as soon as he sees the child near the counter, “Fly-Tsokotukha” begins to recite, scream! The animators did not particularly strain: in the afternoon they arranged something on the beach, but they didn’t grab anyone by the hand. I went to their performances for a couple of evenings, but without much pleasure - the Comedy Club of the high school level.
I don’t advise you to go for souvenirs to Hugardu on a free bus: they take you to only one of their stores, from which they receive a “kickback” - at the entrance they give you a ticket with a guide number, which you then leave at the checkout. Accordingly, everything is already included in the price, it practically does not differ from hotel shops. The salespeople in the store are arrogant and annoying, you show firmness and send them away so that they don’t interfere with the choice - they “hiss” in the back. At the checkout, dollars are counted not by 4 but by 3.5, you start teaching them mathematics and showing them a calculator - they freak out and generally refuse to take dollars. But you can’t buy anything from them - they look like you stepped on his foot or dishonored your sister. It is better to cooperate and take a taxi at the hotel: 5 hours - $ 50. But again, buy goods not in the store where the taxi driver will bring, but walk a little away from the main street. They have a tourist one, like the Arbat in Moscow or Andreevsky Descent in Kyiv - the prices are appropriate. And on the neighboring streets and the flavor of the local and the prices are not an example below. The people come across restrained and cultured (and not those who are shown in the news). True, two young ladies came out of the gateway with an unfinished bottle of vodka, and then one, leaning down, said “fuck....b”. Everything is like a classic: “Oh! Ours in the city!

Tour and Israel took. Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Wailing Wall, Dead Sea. There are a lot of impressions and this is another story. What I didn’t like was that a woman from a nearby hotel took the same tour from another tour operator and paid $50 less.
In general, the hotel is quiet, calm, for a family vacation (or maybe it was quiet, because the students had already left for their studies). If you do not pay attention to minor inconveniences and troubles associated with cleaning, then in general the rest was a success.
On excursions, we talked with vacationers from other hotels: someone is dissatisfied with the food, someone with the territory, service. So next year I’ll think about whether to choose another hotel - I liked it here, but you can’t guess with another one, then you will regret it until the next vacation. Website reviews are subjective.
In general, they say that it is always better to see everything for yourself. So go ahead and enjoy!
