We went to Egypt in Hurghada in the hotel Amvash (Amwaj). First of all, the great charm of a holiday in Egypt right now is that the climate is already milder and there are very few tourists, which is especially nice : ) Despite the fact that everything is calm in Hurghada, there are no unrest. So don't believe everything they say on TV; )

Oh, and by the way, about the climate: the water is warm, the air is somewhere around 33-36 degrees, but you don’t feel it at all, as the wind often blows. But, after our +7, the temperature difference was still noticeable. The hotel is 5 * and really pulls on them. The staff is good, smiling, but not without "their stuff" - like pay extra and you will be happy. Immediately upon arrival at the reception, we were told that our room was so-so, not a very good view from the balcony, but we can pay extra and they will give us a better room: with a sea view.

We refused, did not pay anything, but nevertheless we had a beautiful room with a corner balcony, from which the pool, the garden, and the sea were perfectly visible : ) It was located on the 3rd floor, the elevator worked. By the way, I recommend taking rooms on the 1st floor only if, having fully enjoyed the all inclusive in the evening, you want to dive straight into the pool in the morning : ) For those who don’t care so much, take the upper floors, because the 1st floor balcony goes straight on the path along which everyone walks: both vacationers and servants. And in the evening, if you turn on the light and do not close the curtains tightly, the view of your room (and you in it) will be contemplated by everyone! You will be a bonus to all inclusive for the rest : )

The rooms themselves on the floors, as far as we understood, are not particularly different from each other. The air conditioner in our room did not work well, but we approached the reception - and the next day everything was ok.
Also, after the next cleaning (and they cleaned it every day), a shelf in the bathroom fell off - everything was also quickly fixed, they did not demand anything from us. I pay special attention to cleanliness and aesthetics in the room, after all, I live in this for 2 weeks, but everything was fine. In the room: refrigerator, iron, hair dryer, TV, kettle. Two or three times they twisted swans for us and made some compositions from towels strewn with flowers. But this is how you get to which shift, as far as we understand.

From the “pleasant” surprises: there are two bottles of 0.5 with water in the room, we thought that they (as everywhere else) would be brought every day - but no, then you collect water for yourself from the machines at the bars. By the way, about them. The bar in the loggia is open around the clock, all the rest (on the beach, by the pool, at the SPA) only until sunset. From non-alcoholic drinks - cola-fanta-sprite, various juices - 99% more or less "chemistry", from natural ones - only their local guafa. Delicious, by the way.
They make good alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails.

There were no problems with food - the assortment + - was good, there was plenty to choose from. There were quite a lot of vegetables and fruits (pomegranates, bananas, oranges, melon, grapes + the same guafa), there was even a small corner of a healthy diet, which is especially important for us - we are vegetarians. In addition to the main one, you could go to eat in an Italian restaurant, a bidouin tent, and in the evening they also had a barbecue by the pool.

There are 2 pools: one large, with a bridge, fountains, and the other at the SPA is smaller. You can enter the sea from a pontoon, from the shore, but you need rubber slippers and go far to the depth. You can’t get out on corals, this not only kills the coral itself (it’s alive, by the way), but is also dangerous to health. There was a case with us, a man having a rest climbed onto the coral from above, so the guy who works on the pontoon asked him in every possible way to get off from there. To which "our" of course answered him with a foul language, but still then with difficulty tears.
We thought: how can a hotel employee take care of nature! But the point there, along the way, was not only that! Late in the evening, the water is illuminated and we saw how many such black hedgehogs live in these corals (they climb out at night), they are dangerous if they “prick” on their needles. And then, when we dived during the day, we saw that not all hedgehogs are completely hidden, some of the needles stick out a little, so there was a real danger for this man, they wanted to warn him, but he was rude. Our tourists can be seen from afar, unfortunately. . And then we wonder why they treat us like that; )

There is animation, but not annoying: water polo, aqua aerobics, stretching, boccia, there is a fitness room. Tennis is included in all inclusive, only if you brought a racket with you, as well as paid, like billiards. For billiards, you didn’t have to take a cue with you : ) WiFi is also paid and is available only in the loggia and lobby bar, but the speed is normal, we needed it for work - we used it.
The hotel area is small, but a lot of greenery, flowers and beautiful green grass carpet - which is very rare to see in Egypt! For this separate +! !

The beach is good, the benefit of 40 km from Hurghada, quiet, calm, no ku-ku-ru-za : ), excursions, etc. Well, except for those who offer their services in the hotel itself: there is everything, starting from spa, fish peeling, photography, quad biking, diving, snorkeling and fishing. Yes, and you don’t have to buy everything on the first day! Since tourists were not taken on excursions to the pyramids or at least to Luxor, the money was spent on SPA (coconut peeling, chocolate mask, sauna + pool + full body massage - the latter took 6 procedures) and also for diving, souvenirs, an independent trip to Hurghada . My impression is that it is definitely better to take a trip on a yacht in a diving center than just snorkeling, which Ibrahim will offer. Who is Ibrahim?

Do not worry, if you are in this hotel, you will definitely get to know it! : ) He won't let you take a step, he's very annoying. This was another reason why we didn’t buy anything from him, besides, with masks you can dive very well at the pontoon.

I went down with scuba diving for the first time, first instructing in the pool, then diving with an instructor. To say that I liked it very much is an understatement. It was really cool and the guys are great, professionals, not just “rip off money”! By the way, if you're lucky, you can also see dolphins in their natural habitat there. The only thing that diving won’t be able to “knock down” the price by 2 times, like everywhere else - they have a higher cost there. But bargain anyway! And the rest of the prices really need to be “cut” 2 times, both on a massage in Joseph, and on souvenirs.

Souvenirs in the hotel at the same price as in Hurghada. We rolled up there to unwind.
We did not take a taxi at the hotel - we did not like those who offer such a service. We found an opportunity to order a “local” taxi driver from Hurghada through an acquaintance. We arrived quickly, 40 km in 25-30 minutes, in some places we drove 170 km / h, but there the track is cool, you can safely keep such a speed. Also the driver is good, it's a pity that he doesn't speak English well. Hurghada did not like the feeling that the whole city is a bazaar. And souvenirs, by the way, are the cheapest at the airport + there, too, haggle at half the price.

On the way to the airport, our Pegasus tourist brought us to some kind of “his” store with sweets, etc. So the prices are up there ...don’t be fooled, in a word; )

In general, we are satisfied with the rest! If you need a good hotel at a reasonable price, we recommend it! To see more, watch our video about this holiday:
