I am writing a review and my thoughts are returning to the hotel.
Rested from 9 to 14 January 2022. There were four of us, two couples. Not the first time we rest with Anex Tour - we are satisfied with everything, everything is fine!
Departed from Kyiv at 2:05 am (Azur Air) without delay. We arrived at 6 am, left the airport around 8 pm. We went to the hotel by a shared transfer with check-in at 5 hotels. We arrived at the hotel at 10:00. We didn’t get breakfast (because we thought that it was until 10:00, but then we found out that breakfast was from 06:30 to 10:30).
SETTLEMENT. It was the fastest check-in in our life. 7 minutes. And it's not a joke! ! We did not have time to enter the hotel and seat our tired *ops on chic sofas (in parallel, looking at the chic hotel lobby with open mouths) - Guest Relation Manager Anna immediately approached us (by the way, most of the Russian speakers). Filled out questionnaires in a minute and we were immediately given keys and cards for towels. We looked for the room ourselves, the suitcases were brought to the rooms - after 10 minutes.
We had rooms 1217 and 1215 with a sea view (the part where they do kitesurf). It's on the outskirts of the hotel but the location is perfect. Emerald sea view, silence in the evenings, at the same time, walk 2 minutes along the building to the elevators or go down the stairs on the other side and immediately go out into the patio to the pool and the main restaurant.
ROOM. We had a nice, spacious room with one huge bed. Everything is in working order, a little shabby mini bar (but no matter how cold or hot it is). The bathroom is really in a very tired state, red. Washbasin, toilet and bidet all good. Shampoo, shower gel, hats, cloths, three towels, bathrobes, slippers. A huge balcony with two chairs and a table (the cushions on the chairs are a little sun-bleached). In terms of cleanliness - the surfaces are all clean, but in the corners, if you look closely, then of course it is very dusty. My lip gloss rolled under my bed and it stayed there.
Cleaning the room without enthusiasm (I’ll say right away, we generously left tips everywhere, and far from $ 1). Figures were spun from towels, but they were not sprinkled with flower petals. Wet cleaning was, towels changed daily.
NUTRITION. Main restaurant Stella. This is a separate huge plus of this hotel. INCREDIBLY delicious food, all without exception. Hot dishes are served by restaurant staff. Salads, vegetables, snacks, sweets, buns, coffee, tea, juice - all this was collected on our own. The food is very varied, breakfast standard. Lunches and dinners are always different. Waiters bring drinks, there is an Only Adult zone. In the restaurant you can buy strawberries ($8/kg) and mangoes ($6/kg). We ordered, we were cut / cleaned and packed in a tray under the film to take to the beach. A La Carte restaurants (there are only 4 of them) - delicious, interesting. But comparing with the Sentido Mamlouk hotel, it is not comparable. In Mamlouk they are simply TOP.
RESTAURANTS/BARS on the beach. There is one bar on the beach with drinks and ice cream (it's amazingly delicious, by the way).
There is also Azur Bar between the heads of the building and the beach. There are also drinks and during the day burgers, potatoes, hot dogs. Here is a nuance - the policy of the hotel prohibits taking food to the beach. Eat only in the cafe at the table. But, if according to the Extra Charge menu (for additional payment), then you can take it out. This is strange ...we usually don’t go to lunch, we always have something to eat on the beach and it’s great before dinner. And then I had to go to the main restaurant to have a bite to eat and then stomp back to the beach. There is a Jonny pub, played billiards there in the evening (1 hour free per day).
In the evenings, a pianist plays in the hall, where you can also take drinks at the bar and sit in such a cool atmosphere.
BEACH. The sea was 24 degrees, a gorgeous sandy entrance. Depth gradually, for children it will also be super. The beach is gently sloping on one side with sunbeds, on the other hand sunbeds in palm trees and descending into the water along the stairs. But there is shallow, the depth starts a little further.
Towels can be taken near the pool or on the beach (only 3 points found). There was almost no wind, on the first day it was only cloudy. And so calm almost. We bought and dived a lot. Tanned very cool, evenly. The sun is very active.
STAFF. Honest, correct and professional. Every day they call the room, or they come up on the beach and check if everything is in order.
ANIMATION. I will say right away that we never participate in anything . . but it’s worth writing my impressions. Animation is now almost non-existent in the hotel. She seems to be there ...but in hibernation. Either after the New Year holidays, or because the hotel is occupied by 20-30%. But a few guys walk along the beach, reluctantly calling. No gymnastics, no dancing. In the evening at 9 o'clock in the club there was a show 1 time (Fakir on glasses). At the same time, the animator in warm jackets and pants ...as if they were walking past and went to the show. It looks strange. There's a stage outside... maybe there's a show in the summer.
POOLS. Big cold.
A warm one, inside the patio behind the Lebanese restaurant. Small, with sunbeds. We were there on the first day in the evening, because it was overcast and raining. I see no reason to be there if there is such a gorgeous sea. But in the summer, it’s probably super, the pools are large, deep, for children with inflatable slides.
PURCHASES. There is a shopping center, two floors of shops. There is a pharmacy at the entrance to the hotel. Fruit is available in the dining room. Of course the prices are higher than in Hurghada. But a taxi in two directions is $20-30. If you go, then buy already in full at a time. We bargained and bought everything we needed at the hotel. Mango $6, strawberry $8, pantogar $9, claritin $7, Turkish delight $3-5, halva $4-7.
CONS OF THE RETAIL. There are no big cons, it's true. But there are some things we noticed:
1. Transfer 2 hours. Yes, the hotel is located 50 km from the airport. But 2 hours with a stop at 5 hotels where the guide leaves and disappears for 15-20 minutes. This is a very long time after the flight.
Although they may not immediately settle, it is better to sit in the lobby or lie down on the beach.
2. We were denied lunch upon check out. We had check-out before 12:00, check-out from the hotel at 14:00 (actually at 14:30). Plane at 17:30. When they came to hand over the keys to the counter - we were told that dinner was $ 30 per person ! ! If it is correct and honest, then everything is correct. We left before lunch. But, probably, it is necessary to inform about it WHEN SETTLING. Or the day before, when the guide informs you about the departure time - so say so. And if a family with children, for example. And they will be hungry. It’s normal for us, but not everyone had breakfast that day either, because they expected to have lunch before the flight. A subtle moment, of course, but still.
3. You can’t eat burgers on the beach at lunchtime. Well, it’s the same in all hotels, it’s convenient ...I took a burger, went to eat by the sea and chilly further. At first I thought maybe not to litter on the beach ....but it can be paid! Weird, but okay...

Little animation, after 11 pm there is nothing to do ...from the word at all. This is for those who love movement. For me and my husband, this is a plus, not a minus!
RESULTS. Great hotel to return to. We love Egypt in January after the New Year holidays. When there are few people, comfortable temperature, clear sea. The hotel is a work of art. Wherever you look - mosaics, paintings, sculptures. Lots of staff, beautiful area. (gardeners work all day). Highly recommend, you won't regret it.
