Rested together with my husband from 5 to 13 September.
To be honest, I never considered Egypt as a holiday destination. I like the combination of the sea and independent travel, as, for example, in Greece, but circumstances have developed in such a way that there is a strong mood for relaxation and only a week of time, and it can only be spent on the beach. When I found out about the Taba region, from where it is convenient to take an excursion to Israel to the holy places and the Dead Sea (my old dreams), I chose Taba to combine business with pleasure.
Useful, however, almost broke, but more on that separately and later.

I really liked the hotel. It met all my expectations, and they were: proximity to the sea; good beach; a quiet place (I wanted privacy), a rustic type of hotel - buildings (by no means large buildings) and a cozy area. I chose between Movenpick (which is right in Taba) and Radisson, but chose the latter because of the more budget offers and privacy. Later, passing Taboo on the way to Israel, she did not regret her choice - after all, Movenpick is in a more “civilian” place))
We took the standard, upon arrival we learned that these rooms are located in the buildings farthest from the sea, and I like to live right by the sea. At the reception, where I voiced my wishes, they offered to pay 20 dollars / night for the Marina Club (the first line of buildings from the sea), or 10 dollars / night for the second or third line. We took a walk to the sea and decided not to pay $160 for the Marina Club for 8 nights, and if you don’t live by the sea, then it doesn’t matter where, and we have already tuned in to distant buildings (fortunately, in fact they are not so distant), but here at the reception they threw off the price tag and offered us the Marina Club for 10 dollars per night. We agreed because due to the later purchase of the tour, they saved $ 250, and with this money they allowed themselves to be pampered)) As a result, they lived wonderfully on the second floor of the building closest to the sea, and had the opportunity to admire the sunrise, the sea and views of Israel and Jordan from the room.
The room is spacious, two beds, TV, refrigerator, air conditioning, hair dryer, three towels per person, electric kettle, cups, decanter, tea, coffee, sugar. The air conditioner is correctly located (not above the beds), we set it to +27 - +28, and slept comfortably under the same duvet covers. True, a married couple from another building complained that they and the air conditioner at +30 froze at night, and under the covers. Apparently, one of us has the wrong air conditioner... There are coolers with water in the corridors of the buildings.
The territory is well-groomed, green, clean; animation is, but unobtrusive; the beach is large, sandy, wide, clean; there are two swimming pools: a multi-level one for adults (with a swim up to the bar), and a shallow one for kids. Restaurant; paid restaurant; restaurant on the beach, where they cook pizza, shish kebab, cutlets, grilled chicken legs-wings; bars in the reception building.

There are two entrances to the water: on the right for “real boys”, on the left - for inexperienced, slipperless, pensioners, children and other pets)) On the right, with waves, you can still enter the water, but there may be a problem getting out, so you either need to evaluate your strength, or swim along the reef to the left exit.
The reef is inanimate, but there are many fish, we saw different types, sizes and colors, moray eels, gurnards, etc . ; at a depth, the husband saw a large turtle: we confirm that she (or they? ) are really found there. With wind and waves, the water becomes not so transparent, visibility deteriorates.
Further, I will correlate my impressions with the reviews of previously visited tourists.
Yes, there are no Russian-speaking staff, as such, but many understand the basic phrases in Russian, and are able to pronounce the same themselves. On the day of arrival, the girl at the reception spoke quite tolerably in Russian with me. The porter, who took us with things to the room, also gave out his rich stock of Russian words, said “Let's go! ”, And in response I taught him, as in the song about Gagarin, to wave his hand at the same time. If they did not understand Russian, I could always explain myself in my terrible, complete lack of any grammar, fifth-grade English level, as well as gesticulation.
Places on the beach are really desirable to take early. Usually you can still find a place until 9 o'clock, but sometimes by 8 o'clock everything was already busy, apparently, it depends on the number of residents, it doesn't happen day by day. No one took off the beach towels that “guarded” the occupied sunbeds, but many, just in case, left some other personal thing: a book, a scarf, etc. We had no problems with this at all, because. the sun rises there at 5-40, and from that time, in fact, we were already on the beach, coming one of the first. The sun sets early, at 16-52 (the whole week was timed by the clock). We can say that we lived according to Moscow time (in Egypt it is 2 hours behind).
Every day at 10 pm there is some kind of entertainment program, I saw mini-discos in bars, but we didn’t go anywhere because we were tired from too active and long water and underwater pastime))

Nutrition. In our opinion, very good and varied. One drawback: when cleaning dirty dishes after those who had already eaten, the staff did not always prepare a place for new visitors (wipe the table, put napkins and cutlery). The two of us always found places where we had not yet eaten, but for larger companies, this could take time. When friends from Israel came to us, a married couple, and the four of us came to dinner not at the beginning, however, there was no problem again - the waiter himself approached us and prepared the place. It wasn't always like this for others, but we were lucky.
The reviews talked about sparrows that jump on the tables, so if it happened, then in a beach restaurant, and this, sorry, is nature. The restaurant is open. We, in the middle lane, having laid out food on a blanket in a clearing, do not complain about ants and other living creatures striving to crawl through a still life. If a flock of sparrows flew in, the waiters put a plate of rice in a corner far from the tables, and the whole flock flew at it together, ate and dumped it. So we didn’t have any problems with that either, or we, again, are not picky.
Another point regarding food - the tour operator had two options: "all inclusive" and "ultra all inclusive". The difference was explained that those who simply "all inclusive" only have a glass of local wine for lunch and dinner. Not true. Pour everyone, throughout the day and everywhere (except for a paid restaurant, of course). So, I didn’t understand who the “ultras” are, I guess those who can go to a paid restaurant for free...
The staff is friendly, everyone greets you with a smile. We had one moment showing the attitude of the staff towards the guests. As I already mentioned, my girlfriend and her husband came to us from Israel to see us for a day. At the reception they were told that there were no available rooms. Either really not, or the hidden reason was that my friends are Israelis, you know... Then I went to the reception and explained that this was my friend, whom we had not seen for 10 years, she came specially to me, and the room was provided , and closer to us, in the next building.
Tours.

I consider it necessary to tell how I almost flew with the desired excursion to Israel with local tour operators. I do not advise anyone to use the services of the local manager Anna. After reading positive reviews about her on the sites, I contacted her by e-mail from Moscow, she answered, and I sent her our data (I have saved the correspondence). Upon arrival in Egypt, as we agreed, I sent her an SMS, and she immediately called back to the room. Excursions to Israel they organized on Tuesdays and Fridays, because. on Friday I was waiting for a friend from Israel, agreed on Tuesday. We were told to leave at 3.30 in the morning at the gate of the hotel, because. this tour operator (“Svetlana-Tour”), from which Anna works, is not allowed into the hotel. When there was no bus for 45 minutes, I sent Anna an SMS, she answered me, but from the answer it was clear that Anna did not understand at all who I was and what I was talking about.
I immediately called her, it turned out that either she confused me with someone, or where we should go (because, as I later found out, excursions to Israel are taken away much earlier), or something else happened to her, but the bus has already left. She tried to shift the blame on me, that it was my plans that had changed, and supposedly I called her, but I quickly put her in her place, recalling the nuances of our telephone conversation.
As a result, she agreed that it was she who got it all wrong. To my question, what should we do now, I heard the answer (I quote): go to the room to sleep, it means that you are not lucky. When asked if she understood that because of her I flew with the desired excursion, for which I came to Taba (after all, Friday was unacceptable for me because of the arrival of my friend), I received a short answer: I understand, I'm bad.
And that's it. I did not hear even elementary apologies, not to mention any suggestions to somehow rectify the situation. I do not deny people the right to make a mistake, but the way a person working in a service corrects his own mistakes and solves the problems he created is for me the main catalyst for his professional suitability. What is it with Anna, judge for yourself.
It's good that this happened at the beginning of my holiday, and I had time to use the services of other operators. As a result, I went on Saturday from TEZ-TOUR (I have already considered only official tour operators), where everything is clearly organized.

I also heard negative reviews from other Russian families in the hotel about local operators (about the same Svetlana-Tour, or Ibragim, for example), but Ibragim, we must give him his due, at least offered the family that got on the terrible organization of a two-day trip to Israel- Jordan, to go again for free to Jordan, where they practically could not see Petra. The guys did not go, because. it was time for them to return home, but his offer at least somehow smoothed the situation. There are many other unpleasant details that the family told me about, but because it is incorrect to give feedback on behalf of others, who are interested, ask, I will tell.
And who is interested in the subtleties of these trips, especially for Orthodox believers, I will also answer.
In order not to end on a sad note, I will say that we were very satisfied with the rest, and I recommend this hotel for a quiet or moderate active, family vacation or vacation with friends.
