I can say that holidays in Taba are for those who prefer silence and solitude to noisy Arabic flavor with shops, discos, animation, etc. About the hotel: the rooms are very good, spacious, with verandas, a decent bathroom (with a small bathtub), room cleaning - I can’t say anything bad (always clean towels, flowers and courtesy); the territory is not very large, but green, with flowering lush bushes, Egyptian jasmine, etc. , from the minuses - you really need to get up early to have time to take a sunbed both on the beach by the sea and near the pool (unpleasant! ); restaurants are normal and sane servants ("Good afternoon, how are you, how are you? " - a couple of such phrases and smiling (but !! ! unobtrusive) waiters had already prepared my favorite table for me and put a glass of wine (I only drank wine for dinner and they surprisingly guessed preferences - white or red. ) I want to note an important detail - if I were to rest like this alone in Hurghada or Sharm - they would not let me calmly go from the plane gangway, my number to the plane gangway. In Marriott (considering the contingent of vacationers - mostly English), local hotel staff, waiters, bartenders are emphatically polite, unobtrusive and very helpful. This is something that pleasantly surprised and liked. I wanted to relax quietly, calmly and without fuss. Of course, those people who came with children in the hope that the animation will entertain and delight - they were very severely disappointed - there is no animation at all ! ! This, again, made me very happy - no one pulls the hands to the aqua gym, the aqua gym is a superfantastic. This is super, especially since there is an excellent jogging track along the coast, and if you have a desire - please! run or just walk - breathe in the fresh sea air (trust me! it's much more pleasant than walking along the dusty, noisy and intrusive shops of local shopping centers). Food - I had enough of everything - both food and drink. One thing was alarming at first - signing checks for every can of Pepsi taken, but this turned out to be much more pleasant than wearing idiotic bracelets on your hand. When checking out, there were no problems (although many checks were full amounts !! ) - I paid only for the purchased ice cream. The only bad thing about the hotel is the sea! ! it is shallow and the entrance to the sea is unpleasant, on the rocks. But after a couple of days of developing the territory, I found a wonderful place in Hayat (10 minutes on foot along the sea, which is also nice) - there you can dive wonderfully with a snorkel from a pontoon, no one drives from there. The only thing is that you won’t lie down on the beach for a long time, you won’t sunbathe - Hayat’s beach guys come up and correctly explain that this is not your hotel’s beach. But! to take a walk, to dry off is very possible (every evening I went for a walk on their territory). There is also a mountain, climbing which offers a magnificent view of the lagoon (the photos are amazing), but be careful - no one canceled scorpions and snakes in Egypt ! ! Security. Yes, they check bags and check everyone everywhere, but this is a necessary measure of the border zone. The safety of things on the beach, towels, things in the rooms - no problem! ! But in the evening, the restaurant offers a magnificent view of Saudi Arabia and Jordan! ! Freeway lights are visible, beautiful. . . Well, about trips to Israel and the same Jordan - there will not be enough time to describe all this charm. In general, I can say - Taba is a place for a secluded, relaxing holiday, without shops, discos, evening "lighters", random acquaintances. Yes! the inhabitants of the hotel are mostly English (rudeness and bad manners are found among the few Russian citizens who have a rest), few people know Russian and you can only communicate with the staff in English.
