My wife and I have been choosing for a long time where we will get out of the cold winter. At the same time, we are not lovers of lazy rest, we would like to see interesting places. We chose Taba to visit Jordan, and the Mariott hotel, as we had a pleasant experience of staying in the chain of these hotels.
The road from Sharm El Sheikh airport to Taba took four hours, my wife was a little sick with the height differences and mountain serpentine. The lunar landscapes of Sinai and its mountains were mesmerizing. Upon arrival at the hotel, we were offered soft drinks and settled within 10 minutes. We got a room with a direct view of the pool and a partial side view of the sea. The decor in the room is very simple, the furniture is not new, but in working order, the bed is double (as requested), the mattress is comfortable, almost orthopedic. In the bathroom, too, everything was in order, however, I note the low quality of the shampoo, you have to take your own, the shower gel is normal. Cleaning quality, no complaints.
We did not guess a little with the weather, we hoped for a slightly higher air temperature, in addition, the wind was very strong. We didn't get to sit outside in the evenings. Fled to the lobby bar and bar Grotto.

The beach at the hotel is very spacious with wind protection but it didn't help much as the wind was blowing from the sea. The entrance to the sea is rocky, special shoes are required. The sea is cold, but we took diving suits and fully enjoyed the luxurious coral reefs. What kind of fish we did not see: needle fish, clown fish, parrots, moray eel, stingray, manta. The reefs themselves are also striking in their beauty.
There are no complaints about food either. The main restaurant liked themed dinners, but the Italian restaurant did not like it. In the main restaurant, the atmosphere is very modest, but the food is good. Breakfasts, as elsewhere, omelettes, yogurts, cereals, tea, coffee, delicious pastries. For lunch they offered soups (carrot, vegetable and meat broth, with bird tongues), meat with vegetables, fried chicken, fish (2 times). Again, lots of sweets. Wine and beer are low-grade, strong locally produced alcohol of low quality, we tried it once and never touched it again.
The animation in the hotel was practically invisible, their work is invisible, but it was not important to us. We enjoyed the silence, turning off our phones and resting from the hustle and bustle of big cities.
