The first time I visited Egypt at the Holiday Taba Hotel at the end of 2009, then I liked everything so much that I wanted to return to the same hotel all year. But it turned out that I was going on vacation alone and decided to go somewhere else, but also in the Taba region. According to reviews on the Internet, the choice was made in favor of Three Corners El Wekala Golf Resort. And here I am.

Increased attention from the guide, staff, the local population - everyone is surprised how I “decided” to come to Egypt alone and immediately offer to make a “company” in order to brighten up my vacation. But just in case, I have a story in store about a poor husband who “really wanted to come, but couldn’t, ” and the people, sighing, stop bothering. I must say, being “walking by myself” turned out to be unexpectedly great, and not boring at all. Therefore, I advise all potential single tourists to have no doubts and go in splendid isolation.

Three Corners El Wekala is a hotel designed for foreigners.
Englishmen, Belgians, Frenchmen, less than ten Russians having a rest. The hotel was also home to seconded workers of one of the Russian companies, and together with the tourists, the so-called Russian Mafia was formed, which every night frightened foreigners with bursts of laughter and the amount of beer drunk.

The level of service is not bad, they say, it is designed for foreigners, but I concluded that it practically does not differ from the level of service of Holiday Taba 2009. You need to communicate with the staff in English, knowledge of Russian further “hello, how are you? ” practically does not work. Although the hotel staff are happy to learn the language with the help of Russian guests. For example, I had a lot of fun when one fine evening the waiter, who hitherto called me “my friend”, in pure Russian said to me: “Good evening, girlfriend! ".
By the way, from the terrace of the main restaurant in the evening, a stunning view opens before your eyes - the entire hotel complex, the Jordan coast in lights, and stars in the sky. A candle flame fluctuates in a candlestick, and you sit, sipping a glass of red wine and admiring this picture. Very romantic!

The hotel area is small, but it belongs to the Taba Heights complex, this complex includes 4 more five-star hotels, and you can walk, use the pools and beaches on the territory of any of these hotels. At Three Corners El Wekala, the beach is a 5-minute minibus ride or a 20-minute walk through the complex. By the way, in order not to get lost (as happened to me), when you reach the fork, turn left. I went to the right and then wandered for a long time, thinking, is the beach really so far away. The territory of the complex itself is pleasing to the eye, a lot of greenery (golf fields), flowers, etc.
Swimming is most interesting at the Hayatt hotel, right next to the pier you are greeted by cheerful colorful fish.

Prices in the "SPA-salon" (if you can call it a tent located on the street), by the way, are also designed for foreigners. This was the only moment that upset me during the rest. The fact is that I used the miraculous service “massage-peeling” ...first, massaging me, they oiled me from head to toe, then rubbed it with coconut flakes, and smeared my face with clay, and left it to cool, oh, sorry, warm up - behind a crookedly drawn salon curtain. After 15 minutes, when I was almost shivering from the cold  , they lifted me up, gave me a towel and said: “Now go to the room and take a shower! "...It's good that it's already dark.
I walked through the entire hotel, wrapped in a towel, exhaling a delicate aroma of coconut, covering my face with my hands and desperately wishing not to meet anyone ..."very good. " I warmed up in the shower and concluded: in the future, before leaving for Egypt, it is worth visiting a simple Russian bath, which will save a hundred bucks at the resort)).

The animation at the hotel is “unobtrusive”, and after the brave French boy gave me an individual aqua aerobics lesson, enduring the “cold” water of the pool, I also decided to be an “unobtrusive tourist” for her, so I didn’t go to activities anymore .

And there were so many interesting things around. For example, you can go up the mountain - right behind the Hayatt hotel, the path starts up, it takes 30-40 minutes to go to the top, be sure to take a camera and drinking water.
You will have a great photo shoot.

Or you can go on some excursion. For example, I chose a night visit to Mount Sinai, where God gave Moses the stone tablets with the 10 commandments. They say that those who climb this mountain and meet the dawn on it, all sins will be forgiven. … That night, there were five hundred or more people who wanted to forgive sins. I belonged to the Alaska tour group. In addition to us, there were also Romashka, Khabibi, Susanin, Ali Baba and others. Our task during the 3-hour ascent in pitch darkness was to shout "Here", so the guide knew that all members of the group were alive and well and did not go astray. But at the very top, I nevertheless fought off the group and met the dawn, it seems, together with the "Chamomile", fortunately, this did not affect the absolution of my sins.

It's very cold at the top, it feels like it's near zero, and it's windy (so don't forget to either bring warm clothes or rent a warm blanket from the Bedouin for $4). And for God's sake, no slates and clogs - just sneakers. It was scary for the fate of some tourists who undertook to storm the mountain in sandals with rhinestones. By the way, this mountain is worth climbing just because of the sky. A stunning view, all the constellations are in full view, the stars are huge and constantly falling, just have time to make wishes.

In the morning, on the slopes of the mountain, the Bedouins sell “sacred stones”, (according to the principle - the lower from the top, the cheaper): “Tear of Moses” (an ordinary stone, but when you break it, there are very beautiful crystals inside, they shimmer in the light of the sun no worse than diamonds Another stone is called "Burning Bush" - the whole stone is stitched through with a pattern of a bush, wherever it can be broken off. For believers, these stones are of great value.
By the way, about shopping. The hotel has a shopping mall, but everything seemed expensive to me. Last year, we went from Holiday Taba to Nuweiba, where the prices are cheap, but here I talked with one of the sellers, and he confirmed that in Nuweiba the cost of rent is several times lower than here, so the prices here are much higher. So I didn’t buy anything and didn’t go shopping much.

In general, I liked the stay at the Three Corners El Wekala Golf Resort. Nice, calm and homey. Suitable for those who want a measured rest, as well as for those who want to improve their knowledge of English (French) - the practice is provided.

I want to thank the hotel guide Irina for the fact that my excursion to Mount Moisey still took place, the "Russian mafia" and the hotel staff for a good and fun vacation. Honestly, I didn't want to leave! ! !
