Rested in Morgana Azur Taba from 19 to 28 March 2008. Before the trip, we read the reviews, rummaged through a lot of information about this hotel, carefully looked at the pictures and were 100% aware of the place we were going to and were ready for all its advantages and disadvantages. Including the fact that the 5 stars promised by the tour operator are very conditional. Therefore, we went beyond the sea, the sun, health and positive, without focusing on the star rating of the hotel.
The area captivated me immediately. It is very well integrated into the surrounding landscape. The main building is long, semicircular in plan, all the rooms look at the sea (however, it is not visible from the 1st floor). Greenery enough, clean. The pool is large, original shape, with three nice bridges, there is a heated section and a paddling pool for children. There are even 3 fountains! The territory of the stairs and terraces are very decorated, on each of which you want to stand and admire the scenery.
Wherever you look - a feast for the eyes: impregnable, colorful mountains, a piercing emerald sea, our hotel is like an oasis. ...On the opposite shore of the bay, Jordan and Saudi Arabia are visible in good visibility, and at night there is a sea of lights. On both sides of the hotel, the sluggish construction of new hotels is deployed, which in no way interferes with rest. There is no noise or dust from it. But the most worthy views, of course, from the roof! Do not be too lazy to go up, everything is open there. In general, I climbed there with a camera several times a day. At sunrise I took pictures of the mountains, at sunset - the opposite coast.

The rooms are spacious and have everything you need. There are balconies only on the third floor, but there are smaller rooms (just the size of the balcony). Upon arrival, we were given a room on the 1st floor, but we immediately began to ask for a higher one. They said the hotel was 100% full and promised… tomorrow.
“Tomorrow” lasted for 3 days, and we were moved only thanks to the perseverance of my friend. She regularly stormed the reception, where she was either asked to wait more, or pretended to see her and hear about her request for the first time. As in a well-known joke: “I say, come tomorrow, but you come all the time today! » For all of us, it turned into a kind of entertainment, because during these days we fell in love with our room so much that we didn’t even want to move. After all, it is so convenient to leave the room through a half-wall window - a step and you are on the street. True, there was a drawback that overshadowed our stay - a shower. The water barely flowed, and the temperature could not be adjusted at all! There is a bath, but how to take it is not clear. The hole does not close, there is no plug. There is no faucet either, do you need to pour a shower? But, having moved to the second floor, we immediately got a stunning view of the sea, and a shower with excellent pressure.
True, adjusting the water temperature remained a problem, but we were happy about this! Someone in the reviews complained about rusty tap water. Luckily, we didn't have that. There are no toiletries in the bathroom at all. Only liquid soap in a wall-mounted soap dish, and then replenished irregularly, or even completely diluted with water.
Cleaned tolerably, although on the last day we were not cleaned at all. Towels are changed daily, and linen was not changed at all, only when moving to another room.

The beach is good, quite spacious, sandy. But the entrance to the water is painful even where the bottom is supposedly cleared. Especially hard at low tide. Therefore, coral slippers, as a last resort, sandals, are required! There are hundreds of sea urchins, long needles stick out from each crevice, which someone regularly steps on !! ! The underwater world is quite beautiful, but in Sharm it is much richer. Surprised by the lack of a shower on the beach, there are a couple of showers only by the pool.
There is also no bar. The unfinished bridge for entering the water disfigures the landscape very much. Concrete piles stick out of the water, and pieces of reinforcement and other rubbish are scattered at the bottom. It is unbelievable that it will be completed. And apparently, they do not consider it necessary to spend money on dismantling. There are enough sunbeds and mattresses for everyone, both on the beach and by the pool. The fact that the hotel is fully occupied does not feel at all. Is that the queue for hot in the restaurant at the most "peak" time for lunch and dinner. One can only guess where all the people are. On excursions, chtoli, travels around? The location of the hotel is very helpful! By the way, tours are only with tour operators. The tour kiosk on the beach is closed. No one offers even boat trips or glass bottom boats. But they regularly lead a camel back and forth along the shore. You can ride it or just take a picture. I don't know the price.

Animation works quite actively.
During our stay, for some reason, its composition completely changed. Exercise, water aerobics, dance lessons, darts, evening shows, disco…. At 20-00 children's show, at 21-00 for everyone. The performances of their animators alternate with the performances of invited dancers, fakirs, etc. These programs take place in the amphitheater located by the pool. People bring mattresses, lay them out on the stone steps, sit down and enjoy the show. Having climbed the territory of the surrounding hotels, I was surprised by the popularity of such amphitheaters in Taba. It is extremely beautiful and convenient, because it is visible to everyone from any place. Neither in Sharm, nor in Hurghada, I have not seen this.

For some reason, there is no wine in the pool bar, but all other drinks, including strong ones, are always available.
The lobby bar always has everything, including tea, coffee, milk.

The Italian restaurant seemed strange to us. You wait for an order for a very long time, and they also “forget” to bring something from the ordered.
We mostly used the main restaurant. Fed in Morgana Azur Taba almost around the clock. Already at 5 am, the first, continental breakfast begins. Drinks, pastries, butter. From 7 to 10 - a real, full breakfast. Lunch from 12:30 to 15:30. From 19 to 23 - dinner. Then some late night snack. Even in the Italian restaurant pizza and other goodies. In the lobby bar during an afternoon snack - cappuccino and other types of coffee, ice cream almost all day long!
So, the main restaurant. The place is big and there are tables outside. There is enough space for everyone. Clean, quite comfortable, although without the extra luxury inherent in many "fives". For almost every meal, a “change of scenery” is made: the colors of napkins change, decorations baked from dough and figures cut from vegetables (bouquets of cucumbers, beets, and radishes are especially good). To meet a poorly washed plate is a rarity. Drink cups are ugly, plastic and shabby.
A lot of flies, and all over the territory. I once saw three drown in a bowl of chopped tomatoes! Vegetables did not please at all, although it would seem that there are never any problems with this anywhere. They are not very tasty and almost every time the sand creaks on the teeth. And yes, the choice is limited. Olives are only cut, and pickled in some completely unappetizing way. As a fan of plant foods, this disappointed me. But I did not remain hungry, even from the available assortment you can always choose. But there are no problems with meat dishes. Always available at the same time chicken, meat, fish. And for dinner, there are also barbecues on the coals at the entrance to the restaurant! Everything is always prepared in different ways, you won’t have time to get bored! True, the fish is unpretentious and bony. Fruit is scarce.

Sliced grapefruits for breakfast, sliced oranges for lunch and dinner (sweet as honey), 1 time we caught tangerines, which were snapped up in an instant and the next batch was given 1 per hand.
I was hoping that the wine would be from bottles, but it is either on tap from barrels or packaged in cardboard boxes. As in the usual "three-ruble note". So-so. The beer is sooo weak, almost without a degree. Haven't tried anything else.

For lovers of climbing around. Our vacation was very diversified and decorated with outings outside the hotel. If you stand facing the sea, to the right, through a couple of hotels under construction, there will be the Radison Hotel.
And to the left along the coast there are a lot of interesting things. True, an impassable, rocky section of the coast will have to be bypassed along the road. But, 20 minutes of travel and you are at the diving club, through which you go to a stunning wide beach with magnificent entrances to the water. Don't rush to get there! Move on and you will be happy.
I have been in love with the Sinai Mountains for a long time and this little discovery made me very happy.

We rested super, Taba liked it, despite the widespread construction and unfinished. Despite the lack of infrastructure. I dreamed of going there and my dream came true. And we know how to entertain ourselves! Morgana Azur Taba fully met our expectations. Be realistic, do not tune in to 5 stars, but just tune in to a good rest and everything will be great for you!! !
