DEAR tourists! I ask you to take my feedback and advice with confidence!
Yesterday I returned from the Movenpick 5 * hotel, Taba.
I am pregnant, on the 4th month, and, of course, with the permission of the doctor, I decided to take a break from work, improve my health, and gain strength. In the tour company, I immediately warned about my situation and repeatedly asked to make sure that everything was in order, the rooms were booked, they would meet us and help us. Tour operator - LIK-tour. We were assured that the rooms were booked, that everything would be fine. I also want to warn you that I am a balanced person, I travel a lot: Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Jordan, Turkey, Europe, USA, etc. Was in different fives, all over the world.
The UM air carrier was fed with a cold handful of rice, and a piece of cold fish, two pieces of black bread, no tea, it was not on board, as well as not a drop of real juice, only carbonated drinks - I have never eaten worse on the plane.

But this is nonsense, the good thing is that we flew without delay, both there and back))
Already in Taba, when packing things on the bus, the loaders brazenly demanded money, if they did not give, they cursed loudly in Arabic. On the bus, the guide, who does not speak Russian very well and does not speak English at all, told us that our Radisson SAS hotel was full and there were no places for us, but instead we were going to Movenpick, which is 100 times better. We had a premonition of this, we began to call Kyiv, the cost of a minute of conversation is $6, not counting the connection. They called the LIC, director Lyudmila Ivanovna, if my memory serves me right. She is a very heavy person, always on edge, loves to scream, said that "we gave you a gift and you should say thank you that we did not put you up with 3 *. " We sorted things out for a long time and swore, even the calls of my husband and mother to the director of the company and managers did not help, I was nervous, nothing came of it, we stayed at Movenpick.
The rooms are large, very simple in design, fairly new, the territory is bald, only palm trees, the beach is large, but dirty, it is not cleaned, a lot of cigarette butts, food with ants. The entrance to the sea is like on the Black Sea, there are almost no corals, it makes no sense to swim with a mask, this is not Charm. Jellyfish swam in the sea and stung a lot, for several days almost no one swam, for people with sensitive skin, red painful spots appeared on the body, I only went away after the Dead Sea. There are no changing rooms and toilets on the beach, you had to go to your room, which is not close. You need to take places at 7 in the morning, later you simply won’t lie down anywhere, even by the pool.
The food is very simple 5-6 main courses, lots of chicken, no frills, rarely came across something really tasty, like duck or fresh fish in batter. Juices of poor quality, sugar and flavoring, the most successful was apple. There is no mineral water with gas at all. The pastries are great: croissants, buns, donuts, but the sweets are tasteless, just sweet, no vanilla or cinnamon or fruit flavor at all. To be honest, we couldn't bring ourselves to eat at the end.

Alcoholic drinks are local, the quality is questionable, better not get poisoned, this is the opinion of my friends. You can drink beer. The dishes are very dirty, especially in beach bars, the remains of lipstick and coffee, take straws.
The service is very low level, the restaurant is dirty, noisy, no music at all. You can wait forever for drinks, but they often bring not what they ordered, it’s impossible to wait for tea at all, you have to go and demand it yourself. The staff behaves cheekily, of course, I suspect that they themselves were given free rein, soaking up vulgar jokes, climbing into a plate, using a Russian mat.
They constantly forgot to leave enough towels in the rooms, I had to remind them every day, the bed was not changed at all.
Animation is a different story: ours and the Arabs, completely mediocre, in the pool, during classes, splashed terribly and yelled “Move faster, faster, ” they thought it was fun, believe me, it was very unpleasant and boorish, many complained and left . In addition to volleyball, swimming pool, and stretching, nothing happened in the hotel, the animators were engaged exclusively in their personal lives. In the evenings there were various visiting shows, generally not bad.
A separate word about the pool, which, by the way, was terribly dirty and not cleaned at all (because of this, it was better for women to use hygiene products so as not to get infected).
The contingent of the hotel was: 35% - Arabs with huge families, 35% - Israelis with even larger families (12-15 people), and all, to put it mildly, noisy, 20% Russians and Ukrainians, 10% - British, etc.
Guide - Sergey, a complete layman, was late for the meetings of mines. At 40-50, he didn’t really tell anything, didn’t know anything, he just sold excursions, we literally beat him out of any information with the whole team, there was no information board, we had no choice.
While waiting for a guide for a long time, we were forced to listen to a detuned piano playing in the hotel lobby, which literally drove us crazy, with great difficulty it was possible to understand what piece or popular song the musician was performing, the “guess the melody” game.

What was nice, they played live Arabic music in the Egyptian restaurant, very wonderful.
There are only 4 restaurants on the territory, the main one, Egyptian - the same menu, fish and Chinese, they didn’t get into the fish one, there is too much demand, Chinese is quite good, as for a local chef.
Visiting the territory of the neighboring Hilton is free, there you can walk and go to the market with souvenirs (6-8 shops), the choice is very small, much worse than Sharma, the quality is unimportant, but the prices are very high, because. tourists have nowhere else to shop.
For 2 hotels, one tiny "disco" in the Hilton.
An excursion to Jerusalem was included in the price of the tour, but I had to pay an extra $60, supposedly for a visa and lunch, if you buy $220 on the spot. Nice tour but not worth the money. Do not take children with you, for them it will be a torment, check out at 2 am, 2 min. to the border, there is a queue for 3.5-4 hours, on the street, in the cold, with bags, the passport is checked 10 times, bags 3 times. We were not lucky, the seats did not recline on the bus, we really wanted to sleep, but it was impossible. After 2 hours - stop at the Dead Sea - about an hour, it is very pleasant to swim, recuperate, then the guide, Valery, joined us, very diligent and attentive, loving Jerusalem, knowledgeable, literate, balanced, thanks to him, he followed us very much and encouraged. We did not sleep for more than a day, we arrived half dead.
Around the hotel there is desert and stones, the military and the police, it is not possible to go out at all. Near Israel, constant military exercises, helicopters, warships, sometimes they shoot.
Don't be fooled by the low prices in Taba, you will be disappointed. I could say that there are good conditions for children, but, believe me, it is too dirty on the beach and in the pool, there are no nani. Or choose a more expensive hotel, Hyatt, for example, but exclusively for families with children.
Good luck to you!
