Everything is calm, if you do not pay attention to the enhanced security of the transfer and the hotel (but such security measures have always been in Egypt, this is not the first time we have a rest). We drove from Sharm for 3.5 hours. The road is not tiring. Pleasantly surprised by the hotel, clean large cozy area. Delicate friendly communication of receptionists. Check-in without problems and surcharges for rooms with terraces, booked 2 rooms (flying as a family of 5 people). New wooden furniture, new expensive plumbing, good cosmetics. Cleaning daily. The food in the restaurant is varied, delicious pastries. From the main dishes daily fish, chicken, beef, lamb. Fruit could have been better. Large assortment of grilled vegetable side dishes. The sea is amazing, clean, with a wide variety of fauna: in the evening, lionfish, flute fish, slate and common hedgehogs, sergeant fish swim up in flocks as soon as you touch the water, parrots eat (especially the white of boiled eggs), sticking their lips out of the water. Convenient entry into the sea directly from the shore. A beautiful coral on the border with the Hilton (the territory of the Hilton is not so cozy, it's a bit crowded). On the shore there is fine reddish sand. Umbrellas, sun loungers without problems, a lot of free ones. You can sunbathe on the beach with hammocks in Nelson's territory (nearby between Movenpick and Hilton). Now about the trip to Israel. In connection with the revolution, one-day excursions to Jerusalem and Bethlehem were canceled (ordered in advance in the tour community "Pearl of the Nile", cost $ 65). They offered a 2-day trip with an overnight stay in Palestine for $ 135. I really liked the trips: the Russian-speaking guide Thomas, and the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem, and the Temple Mount, the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, Golgotha. The arrival at the Dead Sea turned out to be fussy and superficial. After the trip, leaving the white passes, we walked on our own to Eilat. I recommend the Underwater Observatory. Very beautiful and interesting. Crossing the border on your own hassle-free. Do not forget! Upon arrival in Sharm (if you are not planning a trip to Cairo, Luxor, the Valley of the Dead), you do not need to buy an Egyptian visa, write in the Sinai only immigration card, and get a free Sinai stamp for 15 days. If you travel to Israel from Movenpick, when leaving the hotel for the airport, pay 75 Egyptian pounds per person for leaving the border area.
