After the wedding, my wife and I decided to spend our honeymoon somewhere in an exotic place for 10 days.
The flight was good. We sat down gently, arrived quickly, met normally, the room turned out to be decent - with a view of the sea.
The hotel is modern and right on the beach. It is located on the very border with Israel (250 meters from the hotel to the checkpoint in a straight line), which is very convenient for people who want to make a trip to Jerusalem or Petra (Jordan). The hotel itself was built by the Israelis and therefore it is almost devoid of oriental exoticism (which is already enough in Egypt) and has forms familiar to the European eye (which more than suited me). They were satisfied with the sea, although the corals are not the most beautiful I have seen. The beach near the hotel is clean of small stones and corals crushed by the sea, but there is also a sandy one 300-400 meters from the hotel.

The hotel has its own security service, which ALWAYS inspects the luggage of tourists, even if you go to the same Duty Free. It is not difficult to understand this - about 10-12 years ago there was a terrorist attack against the Israelis in the hotel. But such inspection does not spoil the general positive mood.
Some cons of the first days. We were promised that tourists could buy at the Duty Free store two days after arrival. But on the second day, the Egyptian border guards did not let us into the store.
The food is quite decent, although we and our friends noticed that some of the food was sometimes dried out, which betrayed their morning or maybe yesterday's origin.
The waiters are not that lazy, but not very efficient either. For dinner, we liked to take meat and wine to it, but, as a rule, while waiting for the wine, we managed to finish the whole dish. But, on the other hand, one evening my wife and I received a gift from the hotel - a cake with fruit for the newlyweds! Thank you for this hotel - a small gift, but nice.
Excursions from the hotel are standard for Egypt: Cairo - Pyramids - a walk along the Nile - Cairo Museum, the monastery of St. Catherine (the place of Moses' conversation with God), Colored Canyon (beautiful place), Petra (Jordan), Israel (Jerusalem, Bethlehem, etc. ), a trip to half-fake Bedouins and half-fake breakfast with them, etc.
Transport: jeeps or large air-conditioned buses. In full ride normally and with convenience.
There are two swimming pools - with fresh water (+ a small heated jacuzzi) and salt water. Towels were included in the set.
Entertainment for an amateur. I preferred going on excursions and swimming + in the evening a hookah (local guys who serve the so-called Shish-bish, i. e. an open gallery for smoking a hookah are very slow to rise and often had to be adjusted) or gatherings in a small bar on shore. My wife fell in love with aqua aerobics and some other purely female dregs that I did not want to delve into.
On the territory of the hotel there is a pharmacy and many shops with a variety of "exotic" junk for tourists. But personally, I advise you to bargain for a long, long time (the price can be reduced by 2 times or more) or not to take these goods at all. The quality of many of them is very mediocre.

Masks, snorkels, bathing slippers can all be bought on the spot.
Worst experience on the day of departure. The hotel is evicted, as you know, at 12.00 noon. Our plane took off only at 21.00. Therefore, on the day of departure there was a scandal. People blocked the electronic keys from the doors of the rooms. I had to explain for a long time what was what to get into the room for things. The girls from the firm "Sloboda Tour" (if I'm not mistaken, Kharkov) are very passive, so in order to get their help in solving the problem, I had to quarrel. After all, we paid for 10 days, but, in fact, one day fell because we arrived late in the evening and did not check in at 12.00. day. and far after 21.00 h.
After long and tiring conversations, mixed with scandals and tears of some women, we were told that we can occupy rooms until 18.00. and the hotel almost apologized. Everyone breathed a sigh of relief. But then a new surprise - it turned out that we have to pay extra, if I'm not mistaken, 10-15 dollars. per person per room and lunch. Another scandal and negotiations with the hotel lost our entire race and people, frankly mothering Sloboda-tour for passive behavior or in some places openly ignoring tourists, paid the required amount. It was not about money - the amount is insignificant, but in principle. The attitude of Sloboda-tour and the administration on the day of departure spoiled all the positive mood of the previous days.
In addition, I was personally billed for some kind of drink allegedly drunk from the mini-bar, although for the whole time neither I nor my wife even opened this bar, because. we had more than enough drinks and brought with us, both in the free bar of the hotel and in the bar on the seashore.
