Good time of the day! Was in "Hilton Taba" with his beloved from 3 to 8 March 2010, issued through Pegasus. I must say right away that no negative reviews about the hotel found on the network, in general, have been confirmed. Upon arrival in Sharm, everywhere at the airport, right up to the bus, there were “Pegasists”, except that they didn’t drive by the hand. The "Merinovsky" bus, not new, but very decent, the guide from the locals, but with excellent knowledge of the language, did not strain, but was informative. It takes about 4 hours to drive from Sharm Airport to the Hilton, the trip is absolutely not annoying, there are many stops in Taba hotels for dropping off the unfortunate ones who have taken shape in them. In reality, people were not lucky - imagine a littered rocky desert and very, very small, fenced pieces of it (where on the coast, where not), with a dozen palm trees and houses inside - this is how all 3-5 star camps in Taba look like.
I strongly do not recommend anywhere in Taba, except for the Hilton Taba Resort & Nelson Village 5 * (there is also a 4-star Hilton, it also sucks, we stopped by), do not stop ! ! ! Just be in shock, as we were, as we visit them. We were worried about what Hilton would turn out to be, he was the last one on the route. As soon as we entered the territory, we immediately calmed down - a striking contrast with previously seen areas, a very "green" hotel, blooming and clean. Further residence only confirmed the first impression - indeed an oasis of Taba. We were well accommodated - the “standard” was originally booked, but for a modest fee of $ 40 directly to the receptionist with the most cordial help of the escort guide (“thank you” from the bottom of our hearts was $ 10) we received a “seaview” (saving $ 50 against the official surcharge of 100 (according to 20 for 5 days)). The room, in general, I liked it - clean, comfortable, very large, new bed, amazing view.
Of the minuses - its small area, slightly shabby furniture and a strongly "boo" TV "Nokia" (albeit with two Russian channels and one "music" Ukrainian). So, our first dinner - an abundance of everything and very tasty. Moreover, only the words “variedly” and “very, very tasty” were added to these words in the future. Honestly, well, I don’t know how our compatriots eat, who speak everywhere about the meager and equally scanty daily feeding at the Hilton, but for us, by no means wild gourmet people, I can only characterize the food in superlatives. Almost every evening there were themed dinners - Indian cuisine with all sorts of curry meats, Turkish cuisine with an abundance of oriental sweets, etc. There is always a huge selection of fruits: ripe guava, bananas, peeled tangerines and oranges, grapefruits, two kinds of dates, pineapples and peaches, twice in 5 days there were strawberries, melons, etc. , etc.

And of course barchiki (separate respect to the bartender Hani in the Pirates Bar for a sincere love for work) with drinks, ice cream, etc. To be objective, I can find a minus in nutrition only in the absence of green tea, first courses (one name is stable ) and a poor choice of salads (stably 4-5 items), which more than pays off with a general sense of diversity and fullness of taste. Now for other perks:
I remember nightly gatherings near the pier with a very good hookah (trust the person who has a hookah bar at home) and excellent coffee (after 11 p. m. and before 2 a. m. shisha - $ 3, coffee - 2);
the traditional hospitality of the local staff was at its best, but unconventionally, no one begged for tips, so you had to hand them out yourself.
For a couple of bucks, the Boris Godunov cleaner laid out “waflins” (peacocks) and other living creatures, dragged bouquets of jasmine, regularly changed linen and water every day, and touchingly arranged bottles in a geometric sequence in the bathroom;
shops on the territory of the hotel in the amount of 20 pieces differ in reasonable prices somewhere (slippers for corals - 5 bucks, a chic pseudo-Lacoste polo, unlike Moscow, - 8 bucks, women's national costume - 15 bucks, everything is plentifully bargaining, not without it ). In Hilton's Dutik (you can visit only in the first 48 hours upon arrival) the choice is not rich, but alcohol and cigarettes at an affordable price in good stock;
the beach is clean, the staff constantly levels the sand and collects ephemeral garbage, music from the nearest bar in the “romantic” style, there are practically no queues at the bar, drunk people were seen only twice (of course, compatriots), there were plenty of sunbeds, unlike places by the pools, where, again, only their native Russians occupied them from the morning by laying out towels, books, etc. The water in the pools changed daily, the second heated pool, even too warm, in my opinion.
Now it would be necessary about the cons. The entertainment program at the hotel is poor, only a weak show every night in the Lobby Bar, from 22 to 23, then a sluggish disco until 2 am. We had enough of each other, so the above was not considered a problem. I categorically did not like the only excursion on which we got out - some kind of Abu Bay there.

It would be nice to get up early - at 6-30 you had to stand at the reception, although in fact they picked you up at 7-00, so the subsequent “Bedouin parking lot” after a couple of hours, albeit in a decent jeep, simply shocked - dirt, flies, tea in glasses that are washed afterwards for the next batch of tourists in a trough with marsh-colored water. Brr… Next comes a tiny jeep in the desert, a visit to an oasis in the mountains – 15 minutes to crawl up the slope on all 4 limbs, then 5 minutes of photography and descent back, only on 5 points of support – and, the main action, 20 minutes riding VERY smelly camels among the garbage along the seashore (a delicacy for camels - white paper) to a group of dilapidated huts. Further, according to the plan, 1.5 hours of swimming in the sea - the beach at the hotel is 100 times better, cleaner and more beautiful (there are not even changing cabins, a construction team toilet and a lot of garbage around) - so we didn’t even climb. Then an unexpectedly decent lunch and 30 minutes of shopping in Dahab.
In short, instead of 100 dollars, you could spend 30 for two and go to Dahab by bus from the hotel with the same effect.
So, summing up, I can sincerely recommend a stay at the Hilton Taba Resort & Nelson Village 5 * for people who appreciate a calm, comfortable stay, in a beautiful setting and area, with good food and quiet surroundings. Ideal for romantic couples who are passionate about each other, single and family, tired of metropolitan worries and tuned in to quietly relax - wellcome Hilton Taba.
