Rested with a friend in the hotel from 01/04 to 14/04/2012. The road from Sharm took about three hours (because there were tourists in Dahab). At the hotel, the check-in was very fast, while the 20 dollars put in the passport (as usual) were returned with the document back (which surprised us a lot). The room is absolutely normal (without any frills): comfortable beds, normal plumbing (although the drain into the shower is long-playing), TV (2 Russian-language channels), a balcony with a table and wicker chairs (which, however, would not hurt to fix) and a view, in mostly on the sea (and a little corner of the mountain). Cleaning is daily (not to a shine, but tolerably enough), the bed is not changed every day (as it gets dirty).
Food: fresh, tasty, although the daily assortment is not rich: there is only one soup every day (but it has never been repeated in 2 weeks); fish dishes - every day different and very tasty; meat is different every day, very tasty chicken; vegetables, greens - everything is fresh, fruits: melons, grapefruit, oranges, guava, tangerines, dates (no frills), pastries - varied and very tasty. The sea is like the sea (not Charm with all the charms), the approach is pebbles (special shoes are desirable), then the sand, the water is clean; Few fish, no corals. The beach is huge, there was never any excitement for a place, where you want, take a place there; clean, cleaned several times during the day. Animation is still weak, but Maria and Francesco (animators) are trying hard, and although they are only two weeks old, progress was visible every day. Live music - not every day, but the repertoire is good, karaoke - in. including Russian, disco - daily (music - whatever you ask, they will put it).
In general, the hotel certainly does not reach the "five", but ..... ATMOSPHERE. How many did not rest, but such a friendly, I would say, almost family, atmosphere has never been observed anywhere else. The staff is not intrusive, yet courteous; few people speak Russian, but they try very hard to learn, if help is needed, they are ready to help, regardless of whether it is their duty or not. On the beach - massage (Mohammed does very well); SPA-salon is not even bad. The guys working in the salon (Lily, Said, Mustafa) are very cheerful and decent. Around the hotel - mountains and desert, to the nearest market - a taxi (the boy walks along the beach offers, we cost 11 dollars a trip). So you need to go on excursions. We ordered excursions from a local company: a two-day trip to Jerusalem and Petra cost 285 dollars. Not everything went smoothly: they stood at the Israeli customs for more than 7 hours, and then, due to the delay, there were minor troubles.
