We rested in this hotel in November 2008. We were in Egypt for the first time, but not for the first time abroad. Since the trip was a gift, they did not search for a hotel, in general, they did not look a gift horse in the mouth. My review is on the Turtes website, but after a while, and after reading other reviews, I want to talk about my impressions, suddenly it will come in handy for someone. Taba: remote area of Egypt, border with Israel. There is no city, there is only a group of hotels (Sofitel, Intercontinental, etc. ) and just scattered single hotels along the coast (Reddison, Morgana, Sonesta farthest away). If you don’t bother with the desert and want peace and quiet, nightclubs and parties are tired of being at home, then Taba suits you. Hotel: Old, in need of restoration, but the beach and the territory itself are not bad. Food: very bad, I practically sat on some salads and chicken. Sometimes I ate fish. But my household (husband and daughter) did not complain. True fruit was enough. Drinking: the wine is not bad, beer, as in all Ola of the middle price category, whiskey and other things, I didn’t drink. My husband drank, did not complain, but there was no enthusiasm. True, I was pleased when, after 24:00, they wanted to drink beer (already for money), they wound up bottled, German beer. Animation: I don't bother with this. Of course at a primitive level, but the boys animators tried. I can compare with Turkey - everything was certainly more professional there (shows, performances), but the animators were mainly engaged in young people under 20 years old. And here entertained vacationers of all ages. Service: tips, a smile and good English solved all problems. My husband was very happy with it, and I liked it too. Beach: there is no pontoon, there is a sandy entry into the sea. Corals begin somewhere in 15-20 meters, but very beautiful. Excursions: were on a yacht and in Cairo. Everyone was satisfied. We spent the whole day on the yacht, with stops on the reefs. Cairo is not as tiring as it seems. We went in November, and there is no heat at this time of the year, the whole family endured the trip very well. I liked Cairo, I would like the tours to Cairo to be 2-day, then the city can be better considered. In general, the impression of the rest is not bad. We will return to Taboo, but not to Sonesta. We collect money and go to a better hotel (I want to go to Radisson). I recommend Sonesta to those who do not have a lot of finances, but want to travel on excursions. There were few of our people, mostly Poles, Hungarians, there were even British, which also added positive moments.
