We rested in Egypt in October: very comfortable weather, strong but pleasant warm wind, warm water in the sea. Taba is a young resort, so not the entire coastline is built up with hotels yet, there are not many shops and discos. Many hotels stand apart, there is nothing nearby. Therefore, as a rule, people go to Taba for silence, for the amazing color of the sea, for beautiful views of sunsets and sunrises, as well as for excursions to Israel and Jordan.
We liked our stay at Sonesta Beach Taba. Firstly, the hotel is located on the 1st line, the beach is large, the sea is clean, there is coral, you can watch the fish. Secondly, the rooms in the main building are spacious and bright with a large bathroom. Thirdly, the cost of the tour in terms of "price - quality" was quite reasonable and moderate.
Food in Egypt is more modest than in Turkey: the food is not so tasty and there is no variety. In my opinion, there are few vegetables and fruits, but you can always find food to your taste. The disadvantage of the hotel is poor catering in the main restaurant. For such a large hotel, it is small, so sometimes tourists have to queue in front of the entrance. Because of this, devices do not always have time to change and it can be difficult to find them in the hall. But the hotel has a second restaurant, where my husband and I went. There are never queues, the hall is beautifully decorated, tables are always served, there is an open area with a wonderful view of the sea. This restaurant is located above the distant buildings, not far from the entrance to the hotel. I recommend it.
We had no problems with the service: the room was cleaned cleanly and on time, gels and shampoos were updated daily, shower towels were white, for the beach - you could change at any time. I read reviews about poor service, I think that often people themselves are to blame: many do not even respond to the morning greetings of the staff, believing that it is beneath their dignity to greet the cleaners. It looks very ugly. Amazing snobbery in the absence of upbringing and, perhaps, education.
There is animation in the hotel, mostly near the pool, but they always come to the beach to call for classes.
The hotel has a hairdresser, SPA-center, several shops, a bank branch for those wishing to exchange currency.
