The hotel manager assured me that all single rooms in the hotel are like this. In order for me to have a choice, she offered to move from my 2nd floor to the same room, but to 1. There was another option: a double room above the same transformer, but for 4 days with a return back at the first request. It would make my holiday so much better.
The windows of double rooms with French balconies overlooked the same courtyard. In 10 days, I have never seen open windows on this wall. The charms of such a "rest" were very impressive at night.

Rested with my son in August 2008. There are no complaints about the service of the hotel, and its location is really convenient. At the end of the holiday, we found out that the beach near the hotel belongs to it (they thought the city). To the sunbeds there gave towels (all for free). But I liked the city beach (although paid, and further away) more.

But I liked the city beach (although paid, and further away) more. In the restaurant: the cook does not work out fish dishes. The meats are delicious and varied. Other than that, it's a typical restaurant for a 3 star hotel. There is no entertainment either at the hotel or in Cavtat. Rest - only the sea and food. The sea is clean, the beaches made of concrete slabs are comfortable (if you have special slippers on your feet). I really liked the restaurant near the hotel - Konoba. In the evening you can walk around the city. The proposed excursions were not interested. It is enough to go to Dubrovnik 2 times. For a relaxing holiday for 7 days - what you need. But I couldn't take another week.

Food - breakfasts and dinners, quite varied. The only downside to this hotel is the beach. Or rather, almost its complete absence. Across the road from the hotel is a concrete slab on which the beach is located. The entrance to the sea is by a ladder. Sun loungers, umbrellas for hotel residents free of charge. Since the beach is located in a bay, a large number of boats and boats are moored there, and sometimes the smell of gasoline makes itself felt. At first, they were very upset when they saw "such a sea. " But, then, they quickly found a way out. Boats depart from Cavtate every half hour - to the island of Lokrum and to Dubrovnik. So - on the island of Lokrum (sail from Cavtat for about 20 minutes) there are excellent beaches. You can spend the whole day there doing nothing but swimming and sunbathing. In general, those who are heading to Croatia for the first time and have chosen South Dalmatia, I want to note that there are no sandy beaches there. Platform or rocks only. Many people do not like it also because sea urchins are found in the Adriatic. Step on such a hedgehog by accident, and the rest will be ruined. The needles will "sit" deeply and for a long time, causing great discomfort. So everyone buys special shoes. But, to be honest, this is not very annoying, because the Adriatic Sea is so transparent and beautiful that you can swim for hours.
Who is going to choose this hotel for recreation, also be prepared for the fact that there are completely no entertainment there. Disco lovers can go to Dubrovnik.
But, as you understand, Dubrovnik should be visited not only for discos.
Dubrovnik is listed by UNESCO as one of the three most beautiful cities of the Renaissance, after Amsterdam and Venice. Boats run from Cavtat to Dubrovnik and take you directly to the city port in 30-40 minutes.

Freedom in Dubrovnik was protected by any means, as evidenced by the very appearance of the city. Ston is one of the first cities in Europe built according to a strict architectural plan. It is also famous for its 5-kilometer fortress wall and salt mines. The famous oyster farms are located on the Peljesac peninsula. You will have the opportunity to taste oysters in one of the restaurants where lunch for tourists is planned. In addition, Peljesac is the place where the best Croatian wines are made.
We also chose an excursion to the island of Mljet. From Dubrovnik on a hydroglider you will reach the island in about an hour and a half. Part of the island is a national reserve. There are two salt lakes in the middle of the island. On one of the lakes - on the island of St. Mary, there is a Franciscan monastery.
If you still have the strength, I also advise you to go to the island of Korcula, the birthplace of Marco Polo, on the same hydroglider. We have not reached there yet, because of course there is not enough time and energy for everything.
I also want to mention a cruise around the Elafiti Islands on the yacht "Dolores" with swims in the grottoes. If you want to swim in the open sea, swim in numerous amazing grottoes - take this excursion.
Finally, a little more about Cavtat himself (in ancient times - Epidaurum). Cavtat is the most visited and favored by tourists Mediterranean town. A very beautiful embankment, stone houses with a tiled roof, characteristic of Croatia. Lots of cafes/restaurants/bars on the beach. I strongly advise you to visit and try seafood with white wine. Nothing tastes better.
I hope that if you choose Cavtat as your holiday destination, then you will love Croatia forever, as I did.
