1) Transfer. The distance from Lyon airport to a particular hotel is about 200 km. Nice and fast. Remarks - we had a guide with us, whose main task was to sell the SKI PASS - it's impossible to get any information.
2) Settlement and hotel - when checking into a hotel, a credit card is required, since a deposit is blocked during check-in. The hotel is wonderful, in a wooden chalet style, located right in the middle of the town (although the town is small there everything is in the middle). Departure to the ski lifts directly from the hotel lobby, through the open area of the restaurant. There is a supermarket across the road, next to the tourist office, where you can get the necessary information (maps, diagrams, internet). The staff speaks English. I recommend apartments with a small kitchenette. ALL rooms with a terrace overlooking the Alps, you can take any room, the main thing is that it would be higher than 3 floors.
3 elevators. , restaurant, pub, shop with a rental with a 20% discount (immediately upon check-in they give an envelope with all sorts of discount coupons for everything.
3) Numbers. Two-room apartments - a very small bedroom with 2 separate beds, and a living room with a kitchen, a breakfast bar and a sofa. The kitchen is equipped with EVERYTHING you need, including: microwave, dishwasher, stove, refrigerator, ALL utensils (I don’t even have that many at home). Cleaning and washing dishes on your conscience (there are all detergents including a vacuum cleaner). Style - chalet - all in carved wood, beautiful interior. The bathroom has a bath, amenities are separate. There is a dryer for ski equipment and a regular dryer. Without air conditioning, but with a good heating system, it was not cold, there is a coffee maker, kettle, juicer, etc. Entrance to the room through an open veranda with a patio. There are no Russian-language channels, English-speaking - Eurosport.
Iron and washing machine in a row around the corner from 5 to 7 euros per wash, depending on the amount of things.
4) Food and restaurants . . Usually the hotel is sold without food or 2 meals a day. 2 times meals 28 euros per person per day, I recommend taking food, since eating in restaurants is much more expensive (from 12 euros for a hamburger, from 15 euros for pizza, coffee from 3 to 5 euros, drinking water from 2 to 4 euros, beer from 5 to 7 euros for 0.3, a hot dish from 25 euros). Bread and water in restaurants is served free of charge. The menu in English is practically NO. From the local cuisine I recommend: escargot - these are snails (from 10 to 14 euros 6 pieces) and of course cheeses (from 10 euros for assorted). Alcohol from 6 euros for a glass of vodka), mulled wine on the mountain from 5 euros. All restaurants are open until 23-00. There is 1 LE Club - entrance is free, good interior and music. Works from 23-00 to 04-00. Walk 1 minute.
5) Ski rental, wheelchair and weather. The average price per day for a pair of skis with boots is from 25 to 30 euros (depending on how many days you take), a credit card is required for a deposit. The choice is more than huge, rental points are at every step. The price of SKI PASS for the day for all lifts is 38 euros (more expensive in the season), the more days the order is, the cheaper it is. The infrastructure is very good, there are no queues for the lifts, due to the large number of them: both the drag, and the armchair, and cabins and telecabins, funiculars and even helicopters). Signposts with trails, medical points, cafes and lifeguards through km. For skiers - paradise - there is no better place. The day goes to figure out which route is which. The weather is the best - during the day from + 2 to + 4, the snow does not melt, it lies with a beautiful carpet and hats on houses and hotels, although the sun is just hot. You can’t go out without glasses, many go in the same sweater. At night until -10.
6) Shopping and souvenirs.
The symbol of the resort is a cow. She skis, sleds and snowdrifts, etc. - from 12 euros, key chains in the form of a snowboard from 5 euros, candy drops in beautiful boxes from 6 euros. It makes sense to take a bus (they run for free almost around the clock) to a height of 1850 - there are more shops and choices. (By the way, and restaurants and bars and traffic such as bowling, skating rink and clubs). Traveling fairs are often made, right on the street they put stalls with sweets, cheeses, souvenirs and wines. There is a possibility of a trip to Paris. 4 hours, convenient schedule, cost from 70 to 90 euros per person one way.
