Were in this hotel from 12/14/08 to 12/21/08. The hotel positions itself as "**+". Whether this is true or not, judge for yourself: our room was on the 5th floor (No. 404) with an area of .11-12 sq. m. I had to climb onto the bed.
Room 2 has rather narrow beds put together with hard mattresses (back care? ). The beds are either on wheels or on some other means of transportation, so if you want to move closer to your husband, they easily and naturally diverge to the sides right under you! The first night was cool, then - it became annoying. Finishing the topic of beds, it is impossible not to mention that if suddenly in the middle of the night a hard mattress puts pressure on your sirloins and your body wants to roll over from side to side, then the groan of the bed, that is, the creak from this body movement, can wake up not only you, but also your half! But we were so tired from walking that already on the 3rd night we perceived this creak as background noise. In fairness, it must be said that we did not hear such a creak from behind the wall: either we alone got such creaky beds, or the sound insulation in the hotel is good.
The bathroom... Well, in general, it functions. Water is both hot and cold, the faucets work, the cistern flush works. Well, the sink, however, is broken (just broken, with a bunch of cracks, but does not flow); the hair dryer only works if you have a third hand. he constantly leaves some kind of contact, so with one hand you need to hold the hair dryer hose in a strictly defined position (determine it empirically : )), with the other hand - the hair dryer itself, and with the third hand - a comb. Well, this is if you do not do an avant-garde hairstyle "I flew from the hayloft", but something more prosaic : ))).

Ah-ah-ah. There was also a shower. Not a cabin, but an ordinary shower, with a square tray and an ordinary plastic curtain. And everything would be fine, but either the curtain is full of holes, or it is short, but when you get out of the shower, then all the space adjacent to the shower is flooded with water. Well, okay. Dries up by morning.
Other interior items: bedside tables, radiator, table, chair, wardrobe, TV. It all works well. Even an old TV that shows as many as 2.5 French channels (in the sense of 2 is good, one is very "ripples"). But it is NOT worth placing any special hopes on this miracle of technology, for example, expecting to view pictures taken with a digital camera on it! Due to its advanced age, the necessary connectors are simply not available on it!
And now the sweetest thing. ATTENTION - SOCKETS!! ! All sockets in the "Eurostandard" hotel - for a flat plug! only during our stay there, we and two other tourists encountered this problem - the inability to charge the camera battery, because. it has a round pin! How many people have had this problem in the past? Lots!! ! So what? And nothing ! At the reception, they smile sweetly and shrug. It is pointless to look for adapters in local stores, we looked at both Monoprix and Aushan. There are a bunch of all sorts of different adapters and extension cords with adapters, but we didn’t have what we needed. So one camera "rested". Good thing we had another one!
Well, in addition to the portrait of our place of residence - the smell. The smell of mustiness (not stunning, but noticeable and persistent) follows tourists from the front door and further everywhere (except for the dining room). It is especially unpleasant to feel this smell in the room upon check-in. True, we fought with him (with varying success) with periodic airings and with the help of the aromas of our favorite perfumes. But how can spirits defeat the indestructible center of stench in the form of a colony of molds on the wallpaper in the shower area?
They tried to console themselves with one thing - that we would not have time to earn bronchial asthma, eczema or any other filth caused by the spores of the aforementioned oomycetes in a week of staying in such a “wonderful” place.

Now - about the service. Regardless of whether we left the euro or not in the room, we vacuumed daily, remade (did not change) the bed, changed towels, and as we finished, soap and paper were added. Given the class of the hotel - quite a normal service.
Finally, about breakfast. Breakfast was included in the price and was presented as a "buffet".
Actually, my brightest impressions of the hotel are connected with the dining room. But not because I am an utter glutton, but above all because the dining room really was one of the brightest rooms (although it was on the "-1" floor), decorated with quite nice artificial trees in the corners and unobtrusive pictures on the walls, it was fragrant with the aroma of coffee , and, of course, left a feeling of satiety. Cups are placed on small tables, next to them on a saucer are a bun, a croissant, jam, butter, sugar. On the common table - boiled eggs, slides of processed cheese, applesauce, Danon yogurt. There are also containers with corn flakes and some airy grains, which are very tasty to pour with hot milk or orange juice, which are right there on the table. In addition to milk and juice, tourists are offered coffee, hot chocolate and tea. And all this - from 7.30 to 10.00. I was so worried about my husband, who was used to an early and hearty breakfast, and then, after the very first visit to the dining room, I realized all the groundlessness of my fears. For breakfast, the hotel deserves "5" !! ! (again, given the class of the hotel. )
Well, that's all.
In my life, I do not consider myself either a category of slobbering optimists, or a clan of apocalyptic pessimists. I tried to just state the facts. Perhaps, for a two-star hotel, this level of service is normal. Perhaps someone in horror will refuse such a hotel. It is possible that my husband and I, if we want to go to Paris again, will settle in this hotel again. Objectively speaking, it’s not so terrible there (hey, people, didn’t you go to student hostel school? Didn’t you go to visit friends from factory small families? For them, the described conditions are akin to a sanatorium-dispensary  ). I just think that you need to clearly imagine: for what money what service you get.
Have a nice trip!
