The house is located in the private sector among the ruins and slums on the far outskirts of Batumi. What is opposite can hardly be called the sea and the beach: the water is dirty due to sewage, piles of garbage, empty plastic bottles and used syringes all around. The house is a typical "ennobled soviet hostel", where each guest is vigilantly monitored by the owner of the establishment and his household. The shower and toilet are installed right in a small room behind a thin partition. Bedding, towels and toilet paper colorfully emphasize the soviet atmosphere. Staying there for several days overshadowed our bright impressions of Georgia and Georgian hospitality.
