I went with my mother to rest in Greece this year outside the box. Usually we lie on the beach in Crete, but then we decided that after 3 years of traveling around Crete, you can also see the capital of Greece. So we chose the hotel so that it was close to Athens, and not far from the sea either. Were in the hotel from 15 to 25 August. I will say right away to go to Glyfada one and a half kilometers. If you are not ready for hiking, then you will have to pay an n-th amount for a taxi, or take a bus. Although, to be honest, we are one and a half kilometers away. Is it the distance. But there will already be 33 pleasures: cafes, taverns, and shops. In general, everything that an active tourist wants so much. Plus there is a small mini market right in front of the hotel. So, if you need to buy something small, then you can buy water, batteries and other little things there. The beach is across the road from the hotel. The entrance is gentle, the water is clear and the sand is very smooth. It looks like it's being removed. But it's a pity that there are no beach bars. This is bad. Although not fatal. In Glyfada, this goodness is more than enough. Yes, there are several beaches. As for food, it's like everywhere else. Such a standard Mediterranean breakfast: cold cuts of meat, cheese, bread, cereals, milk, jams, toast, eggs, feta, honey, etc. in general, you will not be hungry. BUT do not expect champagne with oysters))). By the way, if you don’t want to go to Glyfada for lunch, then there is a wonderful fast food right almost at the entrance to the hotel. The local gyros (flatbread with meat) is excellent. But, of course, this is for those who are not afraid to get better. Although I still want to say separately about the restaurant. There is such an amazing view of the sea that it takes your breath away. We went to the restaurant not so much to eat as to admire the views. On the plus side, I can also say that the staff here is very good. I will describe the situation: my mother soiled her dress in a suitcase. The cream spilled on him. So, they asked where to go. Although I understood that dry cleaning is such... you can’t find it everywhere. We were offered directly at the hotel. The dress is saved and mom is happy. So, if anything, remember that you will always be helped. The staff, by the way, speaks Russian, even the waiters in the restaurant. My mother's birthday was on the 20th of August. They brought wine and fruit from the hotel in the morning. A trifle, but nice! We did go to Athens. We took a tour from our hotel guide. An excellent tour guide, an amazing city and an incredible experience of a lifetime. These are my feelings after a trip to Greece this year. I think we'll be back.
