Dear tourists! ! Before paying for a hotel, read the reviews carefully (learn from the mistakes of others). The flight from St. Petersburg to Athens went well. The transfer to the sinister Leonanti took 2 HOURS!! ! The guide began to prepare our group for the worst while still on the bus. Upon arrival, we found fairly clean rooms, air conditioning works, the sea is nearby, the entry into the sea is even - perhaps these are all the PLUSES of this hotel. … More ▾ Dear tourists!
For dinner, we came to a restaurant (if it can be called a restaurant), sat down at the tables and.......about the Greek gods (Dionysus would probably have vomited from such food))))))). They brought us two small plates of salad for 6 people, then a casserole of yesterday's pasta, poured over with something remotely reminiscent of the smell of meat. We ate because we were hungry, then they brought rice with pork (apparently the local chef had been developing the menu for a long time) and for dessert a small piece of watermelon (at a price of 30 cents per kilo in the shop). We spent the night in oblivion. The breakfast was regular - coffee, bread for toast (take more!!! ! otherwise you won’t get enough and won’t add more) eggs, cheese, ham, JUICE FROM CONCENTRATE (I don’t recommend for those with allergies), milk, honey, jam. Then every morning buses with elderly Greeks and Greek women came! ! There weren't enough sunbeds on the beach! Take in the morning, who wants to sunbathe by the sea. Pensioners come only on weekdays. People who went to dinner came back with sour faces. The youth were starving. By the end of the second day, already united and determined, WE staged a riot in the hotel lobby. Our guide Lena arrived (a very good girl). We filed a complaint, EVERYONE signed up!! ! They tried to call the director of the hotel, alas, he didn’t come....he probably chickened out when he saw the faces of our women. In the morning we moved to Athens on an excursion. I say right away - the excursion is expensive and stupid !!! ! My daughter and I cost 130 euros + 12 euros entrance to the acropolis. Tip - find a stop that is near the hotel, gather a group and for 4.50 one way, calmly go to Athens. The Greeks are friendly people and will tell you how to get to the center and the acropolis. buy a guide. Shopping in Athens for 3 (to be honest, there is nothing to buy there). Fur coats even in the off season at breathtaking prices!! ! On the way back, we asked our chauffeur Lazarus to stop by the supermarket and then we came off!! ! Returning to our hotel, a surprise awaited us - the Director smiled at us politely...... and for dinner we were served large portions of NEW and FRESH FOOD (then we learned that he was called to the office of Mouzenidis and put in the first number). But that didn't make much of a difference. The waiters walked around with faces, as if we were taking away a piece of bread from their children, gorging themselves on delicacies. About leisure - at 22.00 you can safely go to SLEEP. The bar is closed. The pool is closed. The TV does not work. Internet - the turtle crawls faster. We were lucky we got a friendly group and we had evening gatherings. Yes, OPPOSITE THE HOTEL there is a small tavern and a shop. THE TAVERN IS EXCELLENT food (girls for three paid 18 euros with wine). They said they ate.
About the nearest city MARATHON - there is nothing to do there (ours went by taxi - they were disappointed). Neo Mac is about 15-20 minutes by car. If anyone expects to rent a nashina - DO NOT CALCULATE!!! ! NO RENTAL POINT. About DISCO - FORGET!! ! It’s better to buy a FACE phone card on the way from the airport (after asking the driver to stop at the kiosk) - you can’t buy it anywhere else !!! ! So a week flew by (it cost us 9600 rubles for three people, and some paid 17500 per person). compensated for our problems is the SEA. The Athenian Riviera...... beauty....Probably once there was life in this place, but now this place is dying.
In general, the result - LEONANTI 3 for PENSIONERS and people who want to lose weight. There is nothing to feed especially small children - NOT FOR CHILDREN !!! ! For such a low price, we were the least upset.
I wish you all a great holiday! ! I hope that my review was useful. And finally, NEVER BE SILENT!!! ! something does not suit you - call the guide, write a complaint !!!!!!! ! Find out the address and telephone number of the MOUZENIDIS office in Athens and send a dispatch by fax from the reception. And yet, without English and Greek, they will hardly understand you.......
Good luck everyone!!!!!!
Sincerely, Anna Shanskaya

So there was something to compare. First, about the pros of "Leonati", because they certainly were. Choosing this hotel, we were guided by one undoubted advantage - proximity to Athens. Arriving in Greece by car, we could travel much cheaper than offered by travel agencies. Therefore, the trip from "Leonati" to Athens is not burdensome financially (40 km of road) or in terms of effort. According to official websites, we knew about the large and quite good hotel beach. In fact, it was so, although among the beach disadvantages is this: almost every morning on the beach buses threw a large number of old people, and the sea turned white from panama hats, hats and handkerchiefs. Therefore, the hotel is definitely not for young people who will come here on the first day. Will not save the neighboring location of the so-called.
"Maritime Academy", which teaches children and youth windsurfing and yachting. I didn't ask how much it costs, but it doesn't seem to be cheap. Another thing I did not like when it comes to beach holidays, is that in the afternoon began another "throwing" - this time not grandmothers, but seaweed - and the water, generally very clean (next to the beach, awarded the blue flag of UNESCO), was at the shore black and very muddy. On the first day of our stay, we even avoided going into the sea (after the crystal clear water of Halkidiki), and then got used to it.
The advantages of the hotel include a large area, quiet and green. . The service that cleans the area and rooms is extremely diligent. By the way, it is good to have a fumigator with you, because mosquitoes bother you due to the proximity of wastelands and swamps.
Bungalows of Turkish architecture have terraces that do not overlook the sea, but pleasant to drink early coffee (occasionally I advise everyone to take a kettle and coffee with you, because restaurant coffee is a real slop). In the end, both the coffee and the restaurant itself in this case can be taken in quotation marks, because both this and those in "Leonant" - conventionality. The first day we were surprised by the menu. For dinner (at 20.00) we were given pasta with tomato sauce, sprinkled with cheese (actually Soviet pasta, not Italian pasta), and then the waiter brought mashed potatoes, pour a few pieces of meat with flour sauce. The range changed little during the week (for example, 3 days in a row gave gray rice, inventing sauces from boiled sausages, etc. ), in general, the idea was the same: to remind about the food hours of my school scoop childhood.
It occurred to me that the Greek cook had a long internship in a Soviet canteen - all with tomato and flour without any vegetables (although once they gave a quarter of a tomato, finely chopped because it was a slice of cucumber), for dessert in the evening was a traditional slice of watermelon with poorly cut rough skin (the cost of 1 kg of watermelon in this area - 29 cents). This restaurant's food contrasted sharply with what we usually ate in Greece, because the Greeks have a special attitude to cuisine. We have repeatedly dined in cheap Greek restaurants, where everything is very tasty, and each host should usually go to the guests and ask if they tasted good. By the way, the hotel "Leonanti" is located near a place where there are many beach bars, but you will not be able to eat in them. They prefer soft drinks there.
We did not go on a hunger strike because we were rescued by a car driving to the neighboring towns of Nea Makra and Marathon (the same one from where the newsletter ran to Athens with the news of the Battle of Marathon). Those who did not have a car, and there were many of them, had to go on a diet or make a lot of bread (it is very tasty in Greece, as well as Greek cuisine in general).
So, as a conclusion, you can live quite comfortably in the hotel "Leonanti", even in the evenings sometimes, if you're lucky, use free WiFi, but I definitely do not recommend eating there. And least of all, I would like my review to be reluctant to visit someone in Greece, because this is a fantastic country that will bring you the best impressions, just choose your hotel carefully.
