Who struggles with stress, but I prefer to travel. Every vacation is a new country. This time my choice fell on Greece - the homeland of the gods and most of the cultural heritage of the whole world. I traveled with my 14-year-old son, which is why I chose a place to stay so that I could travel on excursions and have a good time on the beach. So, I advise everyone to Halkidiki. We lived on Sithonia - the second “finger”, as these small peninsulas are called here, but we traveled all around, so I can say with confidence that these are the best places, the best beaches and the best entertainment.

We went only for a week, so we tried to catch as much as possible. Literally on the second day of vacation we went to swim in the thermal springs of Aridea. Perhaps someone will not understand what you can do in a 30 degree heat in a pool of hot water, but believe me, it's worth it. First, the water is medicinal. The accompanying girl told us about this while we were on the bus. To be honest, when I was driving, I didn’t even think that the result of my bathing would be so obvious. The skin is soft, smooth, just great. By the way, you can take baths there individually, but since. I was with my son, then we swam in the pool. Now a little more about the tale that can be seen. These springs are located in the mountains. So that you can imagine, I will try to describe the sensations.

You get off the bus, turn around and see some mountains, a green forest and a river. There is practically nothing around. Bus parking and a small market with local edible goodies. You can buy honey, walnut and orange jam, teas, herbs, cosmetics, wines, etc. in general, everything that Greece is so famous for. But here, as we were told, all this is done by the locals, so the "Aridean" products are valued even more. You go a little further and you get to the sources themselves. There are a lot of waterfalls with ice water, stones and amazing nature around. You go up the narrow path, look down and see all this beauty. Squirrels run through the trees, birds sing, and all these wonderful sounds are complemented by the noise of the mountain river Thermopotamos. You can walk endlessly along these paths, look at the mountains and feel like an absolutely happy person. We even made it to one cave. We expected to walk along it, but it did not work out. As they later explained, these caves were flooded, and now bats live there. This, of course, is wonderful that cute creatures now have a place to sleep, but we didn’t want to get to know them at all, especially since it’s dark in the cave and there are bars. (Although, apparently, one of the tourists still wanted to explore the situation and climbed in there, because the bars were bent).

We bought happily. Rejuvenated too, I think enough. And then we went to the city of Edessa. Before I went there, I had never heard of this place. But now I seem to have another favorite city in Greece. Waterfalls are something… They are beautiful. You can even hide behind one of them. I think that such a phenomenon rarely occurs when a bridge is built on the inside - between the rock and the waterfall itself, where everyone takes pictures. Sea of impressions... especially my son.

This is how one of the days of our vacation in Greece went. We returned to the hotel, on the one hand, terribly tired, but on the other, no less satisfied. We bought a lot of different souvenirs, cosmetics, local delicacies and spent the next two days lying on the beach, and then again on an excursion for new impressions...
