Review of Thassos
Hello everyone. Rested in June on the island of Thassos, Greece. The island is small, but there is something to see. Our hotel was located next to the Golden Beach - a very beautiful, picturesque place. The beach has fine sand, sometimes small pebbles. The sea is quite shallow - very good for children. There was a bus stop not far from our hotel - we went to the capital of the island - the city of Limenas. We walked around the Agora, climbed the Acropolis, enjoyed the views of the city and the port from the mountain. We rented a car for 2 days - we drove around the island, Aliki, the Monastery of the Archangel Michael, Tripiti were especially remembered. The next day we drove to Marble Beach and Paradise Beach. When we traveled around the island, we went down on foot to the pool in the rocks by the sea, Giole - Poseidon's Eye, and bathed there. It is not easy to get ashore, there are hedgehogs, it is better to take slippers. The most beautiful places are on the east and south coasts. And in the north of the island in the Glyfada area, we were surprised that the island has private beaches. The owner of the hotel, located on the coast, asked us not to go to his beach or pay for the entrance. Although, as we know, all the beaches in Greece are municipal. In general, we liked the rest.
