Good afternoon, I want to share my unforgettable trip. That winter, I thought for a long time where to go, soak up the sun or see something interesting... In the end, I chose the second option. Greece is exactly the country where you should go for an exciting adventure, in almost a week I traveled all the famous, and most importantly, the unique sights of Hellas. The tour was called Ancient Greece. It is a bus service, but without night crossings. As I later realized, this is a huge plus, because I was already so tired, and if there were also night crossings, it would be very difficult. I flew to the northern capital of Greece - Thessaloniki, despite the fact that it is winter in Greece, the weather was beautiful (Greek winter can never be compared with Russian winter). We drove to the hotel for about half an hour, the time passed very quickly, as we were immediately immersed in the atmosphere of Greece, we were accommodated in a hotel, and travel immediately began. And of course, it would not be right to fly to Thessaloniki and not see them. My journey began precisely from this amazing city, which is famous for its history, holy places, its embankment, where the White Tower is located (a landmark for all guests). In Thessaloniki, it was precisely this information that struck and remembered: “The metro is being built in the city, but they can’t build it in any way, no matter how they dig - there are archaeological finds everywhere....". Indeed, there are a lot of archaeological sites in the city, and from different times. In the evening we returned to the hotel, and of course we were tired from the road, it is understandable, the flight, the first day, acclimatization. By the way, in Thessaloniki we lived at the Grand Hotel. We liked everything! The hotel is very presentable, the rooms are spacious, close enough to the city center. In the morning, we were already vigorous, having all got to know each other, together with the guide went to the fur treasury of Greece - the city of Kastoria (the most famous furrier center), how can it be frosty in Russia, not to hold back and not buy a mink coat ?? ? Personally, I could not resist (I bought a black llama, because I had long wanted a fur coat made of such fur), and continued to travel around Kastoria with the purchased purchase, which made me incredibly happy. By the way, the town itself is very beautiful, and the largest and most diverse selection of fur products is here! As for the price of furs. . . Don't think that fur coats are very cheap in Kastoria - they are not. But the quality!! ! You will never find a fur coat of such excellent quality for such money in Russia! The next day we went to the holy places of Greece, I didn’t think that Meteora would hit me, but upon arrival there... already goosebumps, going up to the observation deck, you feel between heaven and earth. In Greece, there is an independent male monastic state, where women are not allowed to enter, an alternative to this place is Meteora, huge rocks on the tops of which are monasteries. It does not fit how the monks, seemingly ordinary people, managed to climb these rocks, and even found monasteries. After Meteora, our whole friendly company went to the most authoritative oracle known to the world. Delphi. I often heard, saw the Delphic oracle on TV in documentaries, but had no idea what it really was. People from all over the world came here to find out their fate, even the famous Spartans did not go to war without advice from the oracle. Therefore, all political, military, economic affairs were decided here. This place is very impressive. The next point of my journey was the legendary Athens. We can say that you have not been to Greece if you have not visited Athens and the pearl of Greece - the Acropolis. Of course, Athens amaze with its magnificence! And one day is not enough to immerse yourself in its atmosphere. Therefore, I really wanted to come here again in order to take a leisurely walk along these streets, once again admire the Acropolis, well, go shopping, because by the time I didn’t have much for shopping, and the windows beckoned)) After Athens, we returned to Thessaloniki, visiting the Thermopylae Gorge on the way, where the famous battle of 300 Spartans took place, and on our last day we went on an excursion to Olympus-Dion-Virgina. This week, unfortunately, flew by very quickly, we are pretty tired. But the impressions (and photos) left a lot! Well, I also want to note our guide Panaetis - he's just a walking encyclopedia, well, just a nice person! And for ourselves, we decided that we would definitely return to this country again!
