My best trip ever in enchanting Greece!
I share my impressions! Greece has remained for me a country of history, indescribable beauty of nature, and of course the cradle of civilization. It opened up for me on the other side, the side of modernity. And all thanks to a trip called "The Charm of Greece".
We arrived at the airport of Thessaloniki, where we were met by a representative of the tour operator, we were put on the bus and the journey began!
The first day we devoted to Thessaloniki, the northern capital of Greece. The city is incredibly beautiful! Cozy, green. I really liked the city tour, the White Tower, also Aristotle's Square, and the old fortress, which offers an incredibly beautiful view of Thessaloniki!
In the evening we went to Kastoria. I was shocked. A city with about 2.000 fur factories! In the middle of the city there is Lake Oristiada. . . The city has a very large number of churches, which gives it a special flavor.
I took the tour with an obligation, because in any case I was determined to buy a fur coat. Of course, when I thought whether to take it with an obligation or not, I was a little afraid. I thought, all of a sudden I can’t choose anything in 1 day. But then she didn't regret it at all. Kastoria is a fur paradise! It is impossible not to buy yourself such a gift. I eventually settled on a knee-deep black llama!! ! Very satisfied! We had an accompanying Nifela - many thanks to her for always being there and helping to bargain! They gave me a discount of 700 euros!
Then there was the "Greek evening". Greek flavor, dancing, Greek cuisine. The evening was magical.
I am surprised by such an organization, well done!
After - the cheese capital of Greece - Metsovo. Small lively town with a museum housed in a mansion! Visit of the wine cellar with tasting, and dinner, as always, with impeccable local cuisine.
The next day was in Meteora. It really is the 8th wonder of the world. Shrines on the tops of rocks, 600 meters above sea level! It's amazing how they could have been built? ) The view from the panoramic platform is simply breathtaking! Together with the guide we visited the monastery on the rock. I haven't seen this yet! I will return here for sure.
Having completed the tour in the shrines, we returned to Thessaloniki. And the next day - a trip to Aridea. Mountainous terrain, picturesque roads… We had a very good time - swimming in hot thermal springs (hopefully rejuvenated a bit)! There I also bought local plum wine in a shop on the territory of Aridea and local sweets as souvenirs. If you are in this place, be sure to buy honey! ! I have never seen such diversity anywhere. And, of course, it is insanely delicious. Doesn't compare to what we sell in stores.
On the last day we rested, some went on an excursion (for an extra charge), I walked around Thessaloniki. The city was created for walking and shopping! I bought the last souvenirs and sat on the embankment with a cup of coffee, like a true Greek woman. By the way, if you need souvenirs, it's better to buy everything in Aridea or Meteora. In Thessaloniki, the choice is very small - only magnets!
The trip is very intense, interesting, and did not leave a single guest without the delight of Greece. Thanks to the company, the escort, who did not leave us for a minute, and to the guides! Organization at the highest level.
