Where to buy a fur coat in Greece? What is a shopping tour to Kastoria? During what period and at what price? How to choose the right fur and make sure of the quality of tailoring? How to get there? What to see, where to spend the night and eat in the city? These questions concern many potential owners of fluffy beauties from Greece. Especially in anticipation of the summer tourist season. Since you are reading these lines, the interest is quite substantive. You will get answers to many questions if you have the patience to read my work to the end.

This is not my first trip to shop tours for fur coats, but I consider the last two to be relevant: at the end of March last and at the end of April this year. Anyone who is not afraid of long texts can read my first story on this topic.

Shop tour, of course, it was decided to buy in the company Mouzenidis Travel (MOUZENIDIS TRAVEL). Why natural? I will answer - no one except them has such a vast experience in organizing these trips to Greece.

Such professional guides and drivers. Excellent transport and a good selection of hotels. I have been using their services for more than a year and so far I evaluate the entire experience of cooperation extremely positively. This summer I also have a beach holiday planned in Greece and there is no question where I will buy a ticket. In general, I highly recommend.

The tour price of 451 euros for a trip from 23.04. 14. to 30.04. 14. , including insurance against non-departure and medical, a week of accommodation in five-star hotels, transfers, air tickets, a Greek evening, an excursion, as well as a visa. One symbolic euro cost the tour and a fine of 450 euros for refusing to buy a fur product. Well, who and where for such an amount can provide such a package of services with excellent service at all stages, from buying a tour to seeing off at the airport?

To tell the truth, I was not going to buy anything on a shopping tour, but I was ready to pay a fine in advance.

All I needed was a mink vest, but I was not ready to pay 1400 euros for it, which was required by the tour program. And he considered it stupid to buy with an overpayment a little cheaper and still pay a fine.

The main purpose of the trip for me was the opportunity to meet my childhood friends and classmates who left for permanent residence in Thessaloniki and Kastoria, take a break from the bustle of the city and visit Greek taverns. Along the way, I promised to help my distant relatives in choosing furs, who, unlike me, went by plane to Halkidiki for 10 days. They were going to rent a car and come to Kastoria for one day, when the main group of my shopping tour leaves for Thessaloniki. I cannot keep silent about the fact that I was definitely going to visit my old acquaintances, the Mousios brothers, in the salon-factory of the same name. But I won't get ahead of myself.

Everything is in order. What is a shopping tour and how does it work?

I think that I will not reveal the secret that the price of the tour is included in the cost of any fur coat from 1400 euros (the minimum price for the program). Moreover, the higher the price, the higher the markup. In more expensive fur coats, it is much more than a fine of 450 euros. This has already been written hundreds of times before me, and there is nothing wrong with that if I write again. You need to understand that no one will carry you, settle and feed you for free. This time, at least they didn't tell the marketing story about the mythical Greek furriers who paid for our tours. Everything is much easier. With each fur coat, a specific percentage of a rollback is paid from a specific seller of the product. One of the ladies who rode with us on a blue eye right on the bus told everyone with the guide this alignment, showing full awareness. The guide's reaction was correct and came down to a reminder of the meager price of the tour. For people who are afraid of abroad, such shopping tours are a great way out.

You will be groomed and cherished from the ladder to the ladder of the aircraft.

When buying a tour, pay attention to the fact that tourists are often promised three days in Kastoria, well, at least two. Don't count on it. If you have the idea to go on a shopping tour one day, explore everything, and on the second day have time to walk around the salons on your own or vice versa, then you should know that nothing will come of it. Usually, after arriving in Thessaloniki and waiting for all the tourists, the travel agency conducts a free tour of the city, then they take everyone to have lunch at their own expense in the dining room on the highway, almost three hours of moving to Kastoria, hotel accommodation and that’s it - you didn’t have time to go anywhere. Only for dinner. Salons are usually open until 19-00. The next day you will be carefully accompanied by guides, and early in the morning, before the opening of factories and shops, you will be taken from Kastoria back to Thessaloniki. In total, one day under the supervision of guides, and not two, and even more so three.

This is very sad, because in Kastoria itself there is something to see and of course it is worth staying longer. You will not see anything really except shops with fur coats.

Also pay attention to the duration of the tour. At the same price, it can be different. In our group, at the same cost and conditions, there were tourists who arrived for two nights and people like me for seven: two in Kastoria and five in Thessaloniki. Under no circumstances will you be able to increase the duration of the tour to Kastoria at the stage of purchase. There is only the option to stay there on your own instead of extra time in Thessaloniki.

I am often asked the question - whether to take a tour with or without obligations. From my own experience, I’ll say that with obligations, the tour is more profitable in terms of price, and when naming you the price for a fur coat, no one is particularly interested in whether you came with them or not. I suspect that there is no difference for sellers.

If you have firmly decided, having arrived in Kastoria, to jump off the shop tour and you are tormented by moral principles, then you can overpay a little for a tour without obligations.

So, after meeting at the airport, our group of 9 people was put into a Mercedes minibus and taken on a city tour. A very pleasant guide in all respects, Mouzenidis with a very rare name Nifel, introduced us to a driver with an equally rare name Orestes and we hit the road. Looking ahead, I’ll say that we all owe a lot of positive moments of our tour to them. Flawless work. Well done. There was not a single issue in which our group would not find support from the guide and driver. On the observation deck, my old friend, the guide Vasily, joined us, where he brilliantly told us about the history of the city. Then there was a transfer and an excursion to the Church of St. Demetrius of Thessalonica with his relics.

Then, as usual, moving to an eatery on the highway, on the way to which Vasily left us. This time there were no traffic jams and we did not hear many of the wonderful legends and stories that he managed to tell on the bus during my last visit to Greece.

Kastoria met with rain and coolness. Due to the fact that the group was tiny and there were no traffic jams in Thessaloniki, we even managed to visit a couple of large salons on the first day: Gliagias bros. and Estel. Two women bought fur coats from them on the first day.

For now, I will refrain from recommending salons and factories, product prices, etc. and leave them at the end of the story. I will only note that it was Easter week, when everything is closed and the dead season is in full swing. There were almost no factories that really worked, and if something was opened, it was only by prior call and only for us.

In the city, I chose the Limneon Hotel, because I find it very convenient for a trip to buy fur coats.

There are many well-known salon-factories within walking distance: Avanti, MS Mousios, Marco Varni, P. K. Z. , Vitaniotis bros. And a few smaller shops. It is also convenient to get to a large number of factories located outside the village of Dispilio. The hotel is very good in terms of service and cleanliness. I had room 304 and like last year the view was on the wall of the building. Nothing has changed since last year, except for the Wi-Fi password. Therefore, my more complete story about the hotel with photos and videos can be read and viewed here.

In the morning, at ten o'clock, our small but friendly company went towards Dispilio to the Erton and Manakas salons, where one fur coat was bought, then to Mr. Papandopoulos in P. K. Z. This time it was quiet and deserted. In the salon, sellers are still processing buyers. According to all the canons of psychology, as if they had undergone special training.

They get up from both sides and begin to persuade, forcing them to answer yes to all questions with answers. If a person said yes three times, then you can ask if he is ready to buy a thing))). Again, intimidation, that if you don’t take it now, then later, when you return, they will give you a fur coat without a small discount, negotiated with difficulty, and almost more expensive than the originally declared price. Brad, don't listen. They will give it back and bring it back to the hotel. This was the first salon where the sellers managed to persuade our company to drink Metaxa, and in a fairly decent amount. Never drink anything before shopping, except for water and coffee in fur coats and souvenir shops. As a result, four of my traveling companions were persuaded to buy fur coats, and two of them were persuaded to buy and pay for fur coats that they had not seen in their eyes.

If one fur coat, even if it just didn’t fit in size (you need a fairly large size), and after taking measurements, it was promised that a new one would be sewn or the old one would be re-sewn and everything would be perfect, then about the second, they simply promised in words that you would like it. The woman, not seeing any fur or style, having specified only the length and approximate model, simply gave the money. Give a bonus to such sellers. It must be able to. Further in the story there will be an interesting continuation of this story.

Having dined at the expense of the tour operator in a very decent tavern, we set off on our way. Then there was a useless trip to Naomi and moving to the exhibition center Edika. By this time, only I and another girl had not bought fur coats. Moreover, she went for the company and was also not really going to fork out for a fur coat.

We were about to approach Nifela and say that the fur coat program of the tour can be closed, but at the last moment she changed her mind and we still went shopping in this large shopping center. Everyone was given badges: yellow ones for those who have not bought anything yet and red ones for those who have already bought something. In the exhibition center Edika there are not only fur coats, but also fur accessories stores and leather salons. There are many shops, but there are almost no well-known brands. I got the impression that there was not a single visitor in this exhibition center before us for a week, and there will not be a week after us.

Anyway, she bought a very decent Scandinavian mink coat, short and collarless, for 2.500 euros. I didn’t remember the name of the salon, because in one of them I left my camera on the table and ran at that moment in search of it along the entire route.

Keep in mind that this period of time is very favorable for the purchase of fur products.

All more or less well-known factories have already sent samples for the May exhibition and the first batches for the summer season. Buyers unit for the whole city. You can get a decent discount. And I hope there is no need to explain what the samples of fur coats sewn for the exhibition are. This is the highest quality that the factory can afford. Large tags with numbers on fur coats mean that this fur coat is prepared specifically for the exhibition and you can take such a fur coat more calmly, because it is prepared as a sample for wholesale buyers.

Returning to the minibus, I gave 450 euros for the fare to Nifele and it was decided that since there was time left to take us on a mini-excursion to a small but very beautiful monastery of the 11th century and ride around the lake and around the city.

In the evening, in the same tavern where we dined, a Greek evening was held. Or rather, a pathetic imitation of that Greek evening, which I visited on the last shopping tour.

Since we were only nine people, then fork out for dancers, musicians, and so on. probably considered inappropriate. But Nifela gave everyone a bottle of branded wine under the Mouzenidis Travel brand.

We drank half on the spot. In general, it was an ordinary dinner, and the fish was brought raw and everyone who ordered it, including the guides, had to return it back to the kitchen. There I revealed my incognito, when at the table it was said that everything that was happening to them had already been exactly described by a certain Alexander on the Internet. I could not stand it when the women began to take out phones with photos and scans from my previous story. Business cards from it and printouts of the text. All but one lady had one. I won't lie, I was flattered. The only entertainment was the fitting of purchased fur coats to our thunderous applause. And just then they brought a fur coat from Papandopolus. The one that is large.

After the fitting, noisy applause also rang out by inertia, which suddenly, theatrically broke off. The coat was just terrible. The fur is incomprehensible, the color is not matched, the shoulders are lower than it should be by 5-7 centimeters, there are folds on the back, the hem bristles in front. Horror. I don’t understand how such a fur coat can be sewn at all, and even by the standards. I am sure that no one sewed anything, and there was no one, but they simply took a certain fur coat, which was larger in size, and brought it. If this is such an in-house tailoring, then I can’t call it anything other than a shame for the P. K. Z. trademark. Nifela will not let you lie. She even changed her face when she saw this. We must give her credit, she immediately stated that there was only a refund and she would insist, and harshly. It was decided in the morning before leaving for Thessaloniki at 7-00 to go to Papandopoulos, and then to the Manakas salon for another coat that more or less suited this woman. Later, as I found out, they did just that.

Nifela well done, sided with the tourists in this situation.

Then a second fur coat from Papandopolous was brought to Thessaloniki, which was also allegedly sewn individually. Remember? Bought according to the type description - length 85, everything will be fine. I was about to sleep when the phone rang in the room - Sasha come look at THIS. When I saw it, my jaw dropped. A scarecrow sewn from pieces of an incomprehensible color, one breast is light, the other is dark, apparently lying under the pillow of the Cyclops for two years, two sizes larger than necessary. I would write the right words here, but children can read. This second coat was three times worse than the first. I won’t lie if I say that you can buy such a thing in Lublin for thirty thousand. 2000 euros were given. Call to Nifele and deja vu with a refund and so on. and the women had to travel back to Kastoria from Thessaloniki.

They went with only one purpose, to return the money, pay a fine, send the escort away, and go to the MOUSIOS salon described by me in the first story on their own. Moreover, they were looking for just the color graphite, and I knew that they had prepared a batch of such fur coats for the exhibition.

Nifela did not go, found a driver for a fee and practically withdrew herself. Papandopolous decided that the return of two fur coats was too much and flatly refused to return the money, despite very weighty arguments. At least the fact that the fur coat promised to be ideally sized was just great. They bickered and fought for a long time. They promised to write on the Internet, to complain to Alexander)))). Nothing helped. After promises about the Internet, Papandopoulos retreated to the upper floors and gave instructions to his sellers from there.

As a result, they were forcibly soldered a fur coat from pieces, which for some reason was called blaglam, dyed and had nothing to do with noble fur, but looking much better than the previous one and at least suitable in size. They called me from Kastoria after the purchase, asking if it was worth going to Mousios, with business cards of which they originally went to Greece. I told them - if you are not afraid to be upset by the quality of furs and prices, go. Now they both have the same goal. Sell your furry beauties at home, at least at cost and return to Kastoria on your own for the right fur coats at the right prices.

I promised them to describe this situation in my story, which I do. I have all the contacts of these women, if Mr. Papandopolous wants to make amends to them, I will give him such an opportunity. History is not pretty. Buy fur coats there or not, decide for yourself, I will not dissuade anyone.

It's just that this contrasts so much with the conditions for selling fur coats in the same Mousios, where without talking they return money even for fur coats that are not defective and fit in size, only at the request of the buyer, who simply changed his mind. And we are not talking about a factory marriage at all. This is extremely rare and not even discussed. Return, exchange or repair at will instantly. Many other salons that value their reputation also work. The same Tsoukas or Manakas. In the same Mousios, you can bring a fur coat bought from them for prevention in a few years, where they will make minor repairs, tweak it, etc. absolutely free.

This was the end of the shopping tour program in Kastoria. A small video clip about the shop tour can be viewed here or in the video supplement to the story.

The next morning, the whole company, except for me, went to Thessaloniki: some to the airport, and some on an excursion to Meteora.

Looking ahead, I’ll say that two couples from our company went there and also to the monastery to the belt of the Blessed Virgin Mary. According to reviews, they were very pleased with the excursions themselves, but not very long journeys. I highly recommend it, especially since the same Vasily leads them and he has much more time for interesting stories on these trips.

After packing my bags, I crossed the road and checked into the Tsamis hotel across from our Limneon. In a nutshell, the hotel is pretty decent. The views of the lake from the rooms are breathtaking. The cost in the off-season is 40 euros per room. In high season 45 euros. You can read my short story with photos here.

http://www.turpravda.com/gr/kastorija/Tsamis_Hotel-h13424-r99839.html

Soon the girls also arrived - my cousins from Saratov. They had to change the car rental plan for a transfer with a hired driver, who brought them from the hotel in Halkidiki and then drove us around Kastoria. They remembered about the rights when they signed the car rental agreement.

Well, I have preserved the phone of the driver, who 4 years ago drove me and my wife to Paralia Katerini from Porto Karras in Sithonia. I will return to this topic at the end of the story, when I will describe in more detail the ways to get to Kastoria on my own. There, by the way, I met Lazaros for the first time. My wife and I simply did not have enough money for a fur coat, and after what we saw in his salon, we decided that it would be better to come again than not buy what we wanted. That salon is now closed. The sisters, as pragmatic people, did not want to go straight to Mousios, and I did not dissuade them so that there would be no later talk about what they bought in the first salon and there was nothing to compare with. We decided to go first to the salons in the Dispilio area. But it was not there. If everything opened up for Nifela on a call, then we stumbled upon locked buildings, and near one of them, two pony-sized dogs even made an attempt to attack us.

When trying to take a picture, one of them almost jumped over a low fence, but we quickly retreated) Keep in mind. Do not go on your own for fur coats in the Easter week. Almost all salons are closed.

Then we stopped at MOUSIOS. There they asked the price and went to try their luck in the salons within the city. We also visited very well-known and famous salons, I will not write in which ones, so that I would not be accused of anti-advertising. Why pay more if you can't see the difference. The difference in price reached twofold. Sense to pay for lining. Having squandered to no avail and not finding anything sensible, they returned to Lazaros and Nicholas. I will not write the price for which they bought fur coats, so that later there would be no requirements to sell at the same price)).

I will try to summarize what I saw in stores and give some recommendations. I basically will not write anything bad about specific salons. I'd rather just keep quiet.

Although I saw a lot and could write a lot of negativity. But, I can recommend something. I know for sure that there are dozens of excellent salons in Kastoria that I should write about, but the features of the shopping tour, limited time and simply the inability to physically get around all of them do not allow me to do this. What I saw, I wrote about. Sorry.

A lot has changed even in a year. Many factories sank after the unsuccessful 2013-2014 season. The absence of winter until February in central Russia and in the south, as well as the situation in Ukraine with a population of 40 million, did not particularly contribute to the growth in sales of fur coats in Greece. And the crisis has not gone away. I do not know a single family among my acquaintances who is not concerned about paying loans and mortgages. There's no time for fur coats. Against this background, there was even a decent drop in prices for skins and finished products. Having bought raw materials at a high price, many factories were unable to repay loans, and sold assets, farms, etc.

Many have switched to cheaper raw materials and buying finished products from China in order to sell them like Greek ones. Nifela said during a trip to Kastoria that it was allegedly impossible to bring Chinese raw materials and everything that is truly Greek here to Greece. It is not true. And you can import raw materials through third countries of the same European Union, where there are no restrictions on trade, and you can also arrange transit through the territory of Greece there, only export everything on paper. There are no customs inside the European Union. And nowhere is there a word about finished fur products. No problem, if you want with it there.

Take at least fur coats with Made in Italy labels. According to the guides, these are Greek-made fur coats prepared for shipment to Italy. Also cheating. If they are Greek, then why write on the tags that they are made in Italy. Who are we deceiving? Italians? This is a violation of EU trade laws. I have a different version))) These are just fur coats made in China under Italian labels.

How they were brought and where they were brought to Greece is easy to guess. Ferries run every day to the same Patras. No Greek furrier who respects his brand, traditions and monitors quality will put on the tag of a fur coat sewn in his factory the brand of another country. Believe me - they are proud that they are Greeks and have been sewing the best fur products in the world for 500 years. In general, everything has become a little worse than last year: both in terms of assortment, and in quality and in fakes.

First of all, I will give recommendations for those who need cheaper fur coats, in the range of 2000-2500 euros, taking into account the markup for a shop tour. This is the salon MANAKAS (Michael Gravas). Pretty good quality and variety. This is such a golden mean for budget purchases. I was told from various sources that 80% of the raw materials are supplied to the factory from Germany, I don’t know where they actually take them there. It's worth going in. Their medicines are good. The coats fit well.

The salon is located behind the village of Dispilio, a 10-minute drive from Kastoria towards Thessaloniki. It's impossible to miss. See signboards.

GLIAGIAS BROS. - this is a simplified version of Manakas, also inexpensive fur coats, but everything is somehow simpler. The cheapest salon I have ever visited this year. You just need to understand that cheapness is by no means due to the charity of the owners.

Good broadtail is in the ERTON salon at Mr. Kostopoulos. The salon is located in the same place at Dispilio. It is difficult to drive past when driving from Thessaloniki. Really good quality and at a reasonable price. There is also the famous Zvakara and simpler fur. In general, if you need broadtail, then I strongly recommend visiting this salon in the first place.

Papandopolous still has a good selection of fur coats, there are quality items and a decent blaglam, but the prices are upsetting. Everything that he has can be found in other salons much cheaper and no worse in quality.

And the buying process can deliver a much more pleasant experience than his. And about that unpleasant story with returns, I don’t want to remember at all. If you are difficult to handle and persuade, you are not suggestible, you will not drink something stronger than water in the salon and you are satisfied that you overpay a fairly significant amount for nothing, you are not afraid of problems with the guarantee and returns, then P. K. Z is your choice . A wide range and decent quality are available.

In the exhibition center, Edika saw a good salon with a beaver and a chinchilla. I don’t remember the exact name of the manufacturer, but the signboard had a big inscription House of the Beaver. Be sure to bump. There are a lot of fakes for these rabbit furs now. Remember a simple rule. Beaver fur is thick and tingles when stroked against the wool, rabbit fur has almost no underfur and is soft to the touch, no matter which way you stroke it.

The chinchilla, if you touch the fur with your hand and stroke it, is cool to the touch, unlike rabbit fur, which feels warm.

Edik also has a large salon with fur accessories: hoods, hats, shawls, gloves, vests, bags, belts and a huge amount of all sorts of things. There are very original products, from bathrobes to vests. From the entrance, walk a little along the left wall.

Now about my old friends from MOUSIOS. Factory and showroom is 2 km away. from the entrance to the city on the right side of the road running along the lake if you drive from Thessaloniki. 100 meters from Tsamis and Limneon hotels. Travel from the village of Dispilio along the road from Thessaloniki and from Kastoria, to the same Thessaloniki can be seen here or in the video attachments to the story. It's very easy to find.

Nicolas, Lazaros and Kostas are the owners of the MOUSIOS factory, salon and farm that bear their surname.

The salon and workshops are mostly managed by the first two, while Kostas has new concerns on a newly opened mink farm, equipped to the highest standards. Here they will definitely never stick on the tags, do not understand what is made in Italy. The interior looks like an expensive boutique. Bright white lighting. Pay attention to this too. If the salon is twilight, then you should not buy a fur coat there. At least demand to bring it to light before buying and consider it there. When I came last time, they didn't have enough fur coats, and since February they haven't had any at all. Everything was sent to wholesalers and to Dubai. They did not calculate the increased demand, including due to my stories about Dubai and Kastoria, and there were simply not enough furs for retail in Kastoria, which are bought at auctions in the USA twice a year, production capacities and qualified specialists. They began to hire guest workers and sew from anything, despite the high demand.

The honor of a family name is more precious. Now these problems have been solved and in the cabin with fur coats there is complete order. They did not scatter and arrange, as Lazaros says - the bazaar. 70% of the total volume of fur coats is the legendary Blaglama of the highest category in various designs and with the use of expensive Russian lynx and Barguzin sable furs. . There is a series of fur coats made of exemplary graphite fur. Also a series of a new color called Tera. Light fur coats and several fur coats similar to brown classics, but in a rare shade with a sparkle.

Without much difficulty, my companions chose what they wanted, but the price was - you yourself understand. I can safely say that I have not seen cheaper prices for superbly tailored blaglama fur coats of the highest category anywhere: neither this year nor last year. And I don't write about myself - that's understandable. I'm talking about prices for ordinary buyers who come from the street. No problem to check in.

And of course, an approach like - if you don’t buy now, if you return, the discount will not be there, in principle, impossible. I already wrote that their principle is completely different. We looked at prices, quality and please try to find cheaper and better. No problem. If you want to come back, they will even send a car. No pressure or stress. Good luck searching. Believe me, you will even get real pleasure from the buying process, and you will be especially lucky if you come across Nicholas. Sing about what I write when you get to know each other.

But I have seen a lot of situations when it is not clear what, black is called blaglama. When dyed fur is sold under the guise of natural fur. It is often very difficult for an unprepared buyer to distinguish. In the previous story, I described how to distinguish a real blaglam from a fake one by external signs. About tags etc. Read the link at the beginning of the story. I will not repeat myself.

The only thing I will write is about small changes in the tags of fur coats made at the Mousios factory. A unique digital code was added to the label with a hologram, by which, either by phone or by mail, you can find out when the fur coat was bought, where, by whom, what model, size, fur. This also helps with the resale of products and it is no secret that the same blaglama is worn much longer than the time during which it can get bored and want something new. In general, as a TCP for cars.

Many questions were asked to me about tinting, painting, aniline, and so on. I just asked Lazaros to show the steps of sewing a fur coat, since a small tailoring shop is located right under the salon. Also, he kindly spoke about some of the nuances of choosing blaglama fur coats. I confess I persuaded him for a long time.

I was promised with an oath that the buyers who came according to my story would be especially pleased with both the prices and the service. Download to your smartphone or tablet or print. And I do not urge you to immediately get and show them. Bargain all the way without mentioning me, and then use it as a last resort to get another small discount. I have advised many people to do this before. Check. They wrote to me that it works. This is the proof that I don’t have any kickbacks from these fur coats in monetary terms. Otherwise, everything would be exactly the opposite. I would have to include the amount of the kickback in the price of the fur coat, and not just make an additional discount. And here the price can only change in a smaller direction. You can immediately get a warmer attitude by showing a business card before bidding. You decide. Bargain only with the owners. If they are not, then demand access to the body by phone.

This is no problem and all three brothers are constantly in touch with the salon.

So approximate prices. You must understand that they are highly dependent on the model, the time of the sales season, the price of furs at the moment, and many other factors. Now the conditions are quite favorable. Prices for skins have fallen, the off season, a lot of fur coats have been sewn in anticipation of tourists.

Pay attention to the photo to the story, there will be a photo series with these fur coats and numbers from 1-15 in the comments.

And now I will tell you how to get to Kastoria in ways other than shopping tours. There are many options.

1. The most obvious and profitable is to rent a car while on vacation in Halkidiki or anywhere else in northern Greece. Leaving early in the morning, you can return to the hotel late in the evening, if you wish. The road from Halkidiki to Kastoria will take from 2.5 to 3.5 hours on an excellent empty, picturesque highway with a speed limit of 130 km. h.

No serpentines and traffic jams. For reference, from Thessaloniki to Kastoria exactly 200 km. The car rental price is: 30-40 euros for a minicar, 40-50 euros for a golf class, SUVs 60-70 euros, minibuses 70-90 euros. Remember that be sure to pay attention that there is no mileage limit. And then you will pay for a taxi. Full insurance will cost 5-10 euros, depending on the class of the car. Child seats, navigators and maps can be begged as a bonus. These are Greek prices. In every village on the coast, you can easily find several competing car rental locations. A car taken in a hotel that is separate from civilization will be at least a third more expensive. Rights fit our usual. Total approximately: 40 cars + 10 insurance + 60 gasoline + 8 toll road = 118 euros per trip. Arriving in Kastoria on your own, you will save many times more on a fur coat.

And the feeling of freedom and independence in choosing directions, factories and making decisions is worth a lot. You do not wait for anyone, eat where you like, go where you want and when you want. It is my choice. I lean towards him.

2. The second way is the so-called mass and VIP excursions for furs, which are organized by almost all tour operators in Greece and local tour agencies in hotels during a beach holiday. Some don't even charge for it. This method is absolutely no different from a regular shopping tour and all layouts are exactly the same. We went to the salon with a guide or appeared with him with a bus - a decent overpayment is guaranteed.

3. This method is suitable for more advanced tourists. You can get to Kastoria from Thessaloniki by bus from the KTEL MACEDONIA bus station. Buses run very often. The price of the issue is 30 euros round trip and 17 one way.

An acting officer of the Greek army drove us around the city)) Like this. It was somehow calmer than not understand who. I will not write his contacts here, but who needs to be sent by mail or in a personal. I will write my e-mail at the end of the story. For this method, I will not campaign, decide for yourself. I will only note that private drivers, in addition to transfers to Kastoria, offer private excursions in a passenger car at the price of those that pass by a large crowd. I don’t know about fur coats, but with excursions, I would recommend using such services 100%, because I don’t like crowds of people. If you are lucky with the driver, the trip will be even more interesting. You will have more time to see interesting me
