Last year we rested in the western part of Crete. Hotel Vantaris beach -4 stars (although in terms of level and service it corresponds to quite 5 stars) and were stunned when we arrived in the eastern part of Crete in a hotel of the same Blue Bay rank. We are people without any special claims, but we were surprised how for practically same price different levels of hotels. How generally rated 3 or 4 stars to give a hotel. Compared to Vantaris Beach, Blue Bay deserves 2 stars at best. Everything is shabby and dirty, a rude senior waiter (a very unpleasant experience), very monotonous food (I'm not exaggerating, the whole week is unchanged). On one of the days of our stay at the hotel it was raining and the ceiling in our (and not only) room was tech large drops on the bed, on all things....The neighbors collected water with towels and squeezed them out through the window. The room was really changed for us at the first request! The rooms are furnished so spartanly that it even hurts the eye. some dried insects always froze like glass...
The panorama from the balcony is wonderful and the nature and weather are super!!! ! No one will argue with this, but the joy of staying there was overshadowed by the hotel for staying in which a large amount was paid. I'm sorry that our tour operator does not warn about the quality and level of the hotels he provides, especially if people buy a tour at a high price, and not a last minute the day before departure. I think that this is a big minus for TEZTUR, as for the largest and most respected operator.
