The atmosphere is like being with hospitable hosts for dinner. We left tips for the maid several times, there was no change in cleaning. Everything is clean with no frills. Bed linen is heavily washed : )
There is always something to complain about. But the hotel deserves its European 4 stars. Only here the beach let us down. So you can't go swimming with kids.
I liked the rest, we did not sit still. We took a car and traveled half of Crete. By the way, we found a company with very reasonable prices for a car (Eagle rent car). Hyundai i10 (1.1l) for 180 euros for 9 days.
